I've said this since the beggining of the season, when Barça started to struggle and play like shit: Xavi is still the man for the job, he's allmongst the best tactically but still lacks experience. Too bad he's leaving.
Flick's version of Barça would be close to what you've seen lately from the team, quick transitions and high, strong pressing.
The same was said about Xavi. Should've given more time to him considering he won the league . Also people don't take into account the constant injuries and ref descsions against Barça.
Flick cannot change anything . On a tactical level maybe De Zerbi or Nangalseman was the better choice.
I know it sounds really unrealistic but I have family members that are close to Flick and he really is crazy for the Barca job. He also is a huge fan of La Liga and thinks there are plenty of gems in the league like Sorloth, Gutiérrez, Baena and so on. There aren't many good wings that we may be able to afford but we need one because Ansu Fati is still struggling with injuries and not playing regularly at Brighton and he can't be a realistic option, and Raphinha has been a massive flop Sane's contract ends in 2025, so he shouldn't be expensive. For example ,Savio from Girona would be very expensive, Bernardo Silva is absolutely impossible. We can't afford Mbappe's salary and there aren't many other good wings in the market.

I really like the squad you propose for the next season. The key changes are kimmisch and Leroy Sane. Leroy Sane is the perfect match for us. We need an experienced left winger to convert chances we have. Barcelona is one of team with the most chances created per game in europe. But with the goats of Ferran and Felix we convert none of those. Sane is one of the most clinical left winger in europe with 20 goals on average per season. And Sane is one of cheapest winger in Europe. A perfect deal for us.
Frenkie de Jong is more skilled than kimmisch. But he lack fighting spirit and determination to shine in hard times. Sadly in all his time at barcelona, he has be brilliant only in small games. Never show up in clasicos despite his talent. Kimmisch is more combative and with Gavi will destroy our opponent midfield.
This barca team is very talented but lack combativeness and confidence to win big games. Flick saw the gold mine at barcelona right now. So he would jump on the opportinuity. He could rebuild a winning machine that we all miss for so long.

If we want to apply this style of play - we need to improve our physicality by 2-3 times, our players won’t keep the same intensity all 90 minutes and sadly we don’t have that big of a squad depth like Man City

2 months after posting this video here's an update on barca's situation the board persuades Xavi to stay for the remainder of his contract he says yes couple weeks later they decide to sack him and have met up with Flick where a verbal agreement has been made between Hansi and Barca. while I am excited that Flick is the potential coach it sucks the way it happened especially since Xavi decided to leave on his own.

we need a Spanish speaking coach clear communication is important and flicks Munich had pacey players on flanks like sane and davis who do we have, he had kimmich and goretzka who are physical and good in pivot who do we have. Jamal musiala and Thomas muller were behind lewa we only have pedri who is injury prone and gundo who plays good sometimes and not so good. Look at Germany in wc. De zerbi made brighton good with limited transfer and with less known players similarly unai emery he made Aston villa in top 5 in pl. We need that kinds of manager.

Flick doesn't like using young players in the first place plus the young players can't be used in his tactic because the way he played that prime Bayern would wear down young players who are still growing physically. They would look like how Pedri looked after 70 games, after a few months.
Apparently Laporta wants Flick but Deco wants Conceição or De Zerbi as coach, rather than Flick. Also, from what I've read, he wants Raphinha to stay and he wants to either sign Savio or someone else rather than Sane. I think De Jong, Kounde, Christensen, Ferrán and Romeu will probably leave. For players on loan, Lenglet isn't coming back, there's a deal in place for Dest, Eric García will surely find suiters, Julian Araújo will be back, Alex Valle will probably be back too, Pablo Torre will either stay at Girona or go somewhere else and Ansu Fati depends on who the new coach is. If Flick signs, Kimmich and Sane are more likely. If De Zerbi is the new coach, Aleix García will sign and Ansu and Raphinha will stay.

@@Teachr. Unless he lowers his salary, he will be in the market. He makes way too much money, even if the media exaggerates the numbers. His wages are too high and he's the player that can bring in the most money by far. He costed over 80M and Bayern , Chelsea, Man United ir PSG could pay up to 100 M. That and the salary mean a lot for the club's FFP. Kimmich or Onama would cost half the money Barça would get for FDJ and also be paid about half.
Both Christensen and Kounde will not leave on the same transfer window unless you sign a top center back. Iñigo and Koundé could depart, tho.
I truly hope we don't sign Sané under any circumstance. he's injury prone, the laziest player in Bayern squad and has a rep for infighting coaches and other teammates.

I think still Flick can manage well all youngsters in attacking mode and lean on Lewandowski couple a year maybe 2 upfront. Youngsters need strong father figure, Xavi is to soft. Pep/Mourino/Flick - they can sub out a player not fullfilling his tactical tasks (Pep taking out T. Henry for excample). I cannot imaging: Flick's spanish gesprochen (?). Maybe he can start working first for Mallorca (german speaking region 😂)

it's simple coaching a whole nation national team is different and much much more impossible than a one city club with a national team you can't do make transfers and you can't even change the coaching staff + you will have to deal with players that doesn't have passion in the national team they just want to avoid injuries and return to their club plus you will need to deal even with political things it's different

Sell Ferrán, Raphinha, and Gundogan. De Jong should only depart if a crazy offer arrives. I mean on top of 80M, because signing a replacement will not be cheaper than that.
On defense, sell Alonso, Iñigo. Try to make Cancelo a permanent deal. To me, bringing any proper holding midfielder will do, not only Kimmich. There are other good options like Locatelli, Bruno Guimaraes or Declan Rice.
My biggest concern is Joao Felix. With Flick, a player like him really has no room, as he's not a wide winger. He could be deployed as a false winger coming inside like Gnabry does, but he lacks the speed to burst out on transition.
I would rather have Naggelsmann than Flick, but definitely Flick is a great coach.
I would really love to see Hansi as Barca Coach. Sadly, I fear that they'll will choose something a little more closer to home. They keep talking about "having the Barca DNA" Whatever that means??? Xavi has the Barca DNA, but there is none of it materializing on the field whatsoever...
All in all, Barcelona has this wierd preference of hiring inexperienced managers, preferbly with no titles or previous proven track record to thier name. It's almost as if, a world class manager is automatically disqualified, because of thier preference for hiring unproven managers. I call it the "Guardiola Complex", and referes to how Barcalona many years ago decided to take the chance with Pep Guardiola and, as we all know, it paid of wonderfully, and history was written...
However, it may also be true that Barcelona got a little lucky with that, and more often than not, it is the case that experience beats inexperience. So, fast forward to today, the Guardiola case seems to have had a negative effect on Barcalona, as they seem to have tried to copy that formula ever since. We have seen Real Madrid hire world class managers after world class managers for years, while Barca has attempted to find new manager-gems out of nowhere, hoping that they'll succeed - Just like Pep did! But reality does not work that way, and thus Barca has become thier own worst enemy with their sort of infantile romantic naivete, in regards to hiring managers.
Hansi Flick is simply too good and too proven, for them to consider him.
