A common man (daily wage earner) who drinks alcohol (after a hectic working day) and purchases in black which is hell expensive not only will affect to the savings of his family but instead of contributing to the right hands will go to waste. I don't drink, but I know some people who drink (of course not in excess but to take a rest)

      @@honeybadger1177 I know you can find alcohol every where in nagaland. Don't ask me how I know that.
      You did not understand what I meant " In theory" Meaning the nagaland government turned a blind eye on alcohol related laws because the government interpreted dry state as no problems relating to alcohol, hence no laws needed for sale consumption of alcohol.
      *Please be polite when making comments, this is not some mudu ghor jakara.

  • @Ice-xd2jf
    @Ice-xd2jf Před rokem +22

    The ban on alcohol implemented by the state government and the church proves to be ineffective for several reasons. One simple reason is that alcohol remains readily available everywhere despite the ban. When a product is in high demand, people will find ways to obtain it regardless of legal restrictions. In this scenario, neighboring states that do not enforce the ban become the source of alcohol for residents of the banned state.
    This situation leads to several consequences that render the ban useless. Firstly, the ban fails to address the underlying reasons why people consume alcohol. If there is a demand for alcohol within the banned state, people will seek alternative means to satisfy that demand, even if it means crossing state borders. This indicates that the ban does not effectively address the social and cultural factors contributing to alcohol consumption.
    Secondly, the ban becomes counterproductive from an economic perspective. By prohibiting the sale and consumption of alcohol within the banned state, the government is essentially handing over potential revenue and economic benefits to neighboring states. Instead of generating revenue and creating job opportunities within the banned state, it inadvertently supports the economies of other states. This situation leads to a loss of potential tax revenue, employment opportunities, and economic growth for the banned state.
    Furthermore, the ban can have unintended negative consequences on public safety. When alcohol is banned but still accessible, it often leads to the proliferation of illegal activities such as bootlegging and the production of counterfeit alcohol. These underground activities operate outside the boundaries of regulation, making the quality and safety of the alcohol questionable. Such a scenario increases the risk of health hazards and associated criminal activities, further undermining the intended goals of the ban.
    Overall, the ineffectiveness of the ban on alcohol becomes evident due to the continued availability of alcohol, the economic disadvantages faced by the banned state, and the potential negative consequences on public safety. These factors collectively demonstrate that a ban on alcohol, in this scenario, fails to achieve its desired outcomes and highlights the need for alternative approaches to address alcohol-related concerns.

    In kerela whoever drinks stand in queue with discipline with limited consumption of bottle per head. Moderate drinks doesn't give any health benefits nor maximum but to a limit and with respect to economic freedom to trade.

    The church should not be involved or included in this NLTP debate, how can any of us expect the church to accept alcohol??? They are right in opposing but it is the govt which should see what is best for the state and make a decision. The group of people who benefit from this NLTP is using and involving the church to keep this Act alive

    Nagaland Government must remove the NLPT act immediately.Opened liquor shops in Nagaland but the sellers must sell only one quarter to any customers and if he is caught making troubles to anyone, he or she must be arrested and put inn jail and he must to pay fine of 5000 or 1000 after that release him on bail then there will no drunkards or trouble makers in a family or in a colony.

      Your suggestion is good but nothing is possible in Nagaland except formation of Unions/Associations... Also removal of the Act is not in the hands of the government but NMA and NBCC...

    Naga's maintaining 'dry state' is the most stupid thing to see in 21'st Century. Our money is not regulating within nagaland, no source of income. I support alcohol ban should be lifted.

    NLTP Act should be lifted coz pple will not stop drinking. Instead of consuming drugs, Its better to consume liquor. We only blames state govt for any reason without thinking abt Its revenue. I am not against with NBCC but we should do which 1 would be more benefited for general.
