I really like this squad. They've got multiple players that can pass in transition and multiple players who don't need the ball to score. The Phee and Lou led squads struggled because the scoring had to go through them and other teams knew it. This team has a lot of different pieces that all make an impact. Some of Geno's teams have had players that just run up and down the floor without meaningful contributions. I don't see that in this team. As great as the main talent is my two faves are Aubrey and Mir. They are excellent garbage players(second chance points)and excellent finishers around the cup.

This team is going to be special and with the following year's incoming class and not losing anyone from this year's class, UConn is going to do to this division what they did to the AAC and run the table. I think UConn wins it all this year and for the foreseeable future.
Having a talented group of players 9-10 deep will have it's own specific coaching challenges. Who has the best chemistry and can play the best together will determine how this team goes. I'm hoping that the competitive talent pushes everyone to be the best they can be.
Great Job Coach!!!! Remember the competition is what hungers any team to play to their fullest potential plus a little!!! If done right with in the team then every one benefits... players, team, and oh yes, the coaches improve their game too!!!
I'd be terrified of joining this team. It's recent history of devastating injuries makes me believe that someone has put a powerful curse on this basketball program.
How does this work when there are no seniors on the current team? Do they not have a full roster, or are they allowed to have more players on the squad these days?
$5 will get you $10 that Geno will need two basketballs or three when all these shooters are on the floor. I predict too much competition for being a starter & I think there will be some black-white issues. Geno can only put five players on the court at a time & there is usually only one sixth man. When a talented player like Nika Muhl must sit because Asi Fudd & Caroline Ducharme can shoot the lights out, there will first be problems, and then, there will be transfers. The team with Nika and Paige only lost twice. I think the 2021 team will lose five times due to chaos and dissension.
Who said Azzi's going to start? Paige and Diana were the only players to start right away and that was due to the team's necessity for them to start. Breanna Stewart came off the bench her freshman year and look what she became. Azzi will probably be a sixth or seventh man until she proves she can start.

Saylor poffenbarger is so underrated saw her play and she can do everything, score, rebound, and pass the ball from the other side of the court and hit the player on stride, she’s better than Paige in my opinion

They're allowed 13 scholarship players. Geno doesn't normally carry that many.

His team last year was 29-3 and that wasn't one of his best teams. You come to UConn to play team basketball. That's what makes them successful.
