- Princess Diana was always a royal of the people! Old footage from 1991 where she’s seen running in a school race at Prince Harry’s sports day is going viral online. The royal can be seen racing barefoot against a bunch of other moms, hoping to nab the win. There’s a traditional race for parents at the end of Children’s sports days and it wasn’t the first time Princess Diana joined the festivities. The video was shared on Twitter and quickly garnered millions of views.

Timeless beauty. I remember idolizing her as a little girl. I even wrote a book report presentation on her in 4th grade. I UGLY cried my junior year of high school when I heard she died. I listened to Elton John's beautiful tribute England's Rose-Candle in the Wind nonstop. Her humbling kindness, generosity and beauty will never be forgotten.

The last year of her life she and Charles had moved on enough that they could talk amicably about the boys, and Charles was shattered by her sudden death. I've always been firmly in the Diana camp. That said, Charles was not an unfeeling monster. They were ill matched from the start, but at the end time had brought healing for them both.

I remember how she was known over the world to be the collest princess in 90's. She won the hearts of everyone by her way of life and it was tragic she was gone too early
The Princess was a special woman, she genuinely cared for the poor, the weak, the sick and victims of war. She also hated landmines and to this day a charity she set up still goes around unearthing them to make the land safe. Loved by the people then and still to this day she is loved. A tragic death and taken way too soon. We remember and this vid is exactly how British people look and see Princess Diana to this day. RIP Princess.

Yes, it's true in England we parents take part in this competition after the sport day. It's like a final PE exam. I never won but I used to take part just to see my kid's face of happiness more than anything else. Diana was so lovely, poor soul!

Yes! Been scrolling to the comments to see if anyone picked up on the fact that Di, was running with proper technique. She did her drive-phase,acceleration and then she just coasted. She was behind 3/4 of the course but her top speed was clearly higher. If they did a proper 100m dash: she would've won by an even bigger margin. If anything; in the video she is very slow out of the blocks. But she really pumped those arms, knowing that once she gets into her stride; she is the fastest. This Lady must have really enjoyed gym-class when she was younger because she remembered the instructions:"head and shoulders down, driving the arms, lifting the knees, leaning forward at the finish line"

Absolutely right. Not a good match at all. Was it an arranged marriage? She was only very young. I so wish she'd survived that crash. I'm not a fan of the royals but I remember shedding a tear when news of Diana's death went public. And then when Elton John performed Candle in the Wind as a tribute, well, that was it, I sobbed like a baby. Such a desperately sad loss. The world is duller without her in it.

It is not so bad to be nerdy. Faahion is not necessarily better than science. Some people find these "boring" things very interesting. (Like architecture: one of Charles' interests.) He does seem stuffy though, and unsympathetic. They were not a good match!

I love this clip. She always seemed so down to Earth and genuinely kind. She seemed like she would've been fun and "normal" if she hadn't been married to Charles. She kind of reminds me of my mom, I lost her way to early as well. She was kind and fun and loving, but she was also hiding a lot of unhappiness being her smile too. I'm glad the her sons had the time they had with her and take after her in some ways. She was beautiful inside and out.

I'm telling you, I am a track and field enthusiast and the first thing I noticed, was Diana's 'drive-phase'. She kept her head down and really pumped those arms; Her long legs hinder her a little bit and she had a slow start but once she gets going, she seems to fly. Had Diana been a pro athlete, she could've been a very good 200/400 meter sprinter. She reminds me of Heike Dreschler. Tall, strong, leggy.

I suspect that she eyed her competition and thought:"I am in way better shape, IMMA WIN!" but she fumbled her start. I'm the same. I can be very shy but I am competitive when it comes to athletic things. I do a lot of inline skating. When I casually skate in my neighborhood and see a cyclist overtaking me; I just have to go faster😄
