Brings back memories of target shooting with my Dad as a kid, and hunting with him. The first time I ever swore in front of my Dad he was teaching me how to shoot a punkin ball with a shotgun. Even though I buried it hard in my shoulder, I was not prepared for the force of that kickback! I swore, and he just about rolled on the ground laughing at me, lol.
Im excited for the second underground portion! I bet you can do it faster this time, too, now that you have experience.

You can install windows in the bedroom but requires welding skills for a frame in the earth bag wall behind it you put in a horizontal culvert to get under the house wall then a vertical culvert to get to the surface. A simple frame at the joint of the 2 culvert sections would let them hold together long enough for the soil to lock together. Once you have the culvert in place you can paint the inside white or silver to get more reflected light to the window. And yes if the culvert is big enough you can set this up as an escape rout with a ladder in the vertical section.
If you want a low effort way to make that skull very spooky at night they make a spray reflective coating that would be perfect for just the eyes of the skull so any time someone hits it with a flashlight or headlights it looks back at them and stops when they move the light source away. No holes or wires needed just simply mask off the area you don't want to reflect light and spray a coating on.

Nice Skull! That will look cool hanging on the wall of the house. Back in the early 80s I got a service call to an apartment with receptacles not working. As I looked around to see how the circuit was working I checked the patio light and it was out, too. I also noticed a hole below the patio light where the wood siding was splintered out. I looked inside and there was a corrisponding hole in the drywall that had been patched. Someone was inside the apartment shooting through the patio door into the field outside. Missed the open door and hit the wall instead, shooting right through the hot wire in the romex.

Two questions; from the air your bedroom dugout appears to be hexagonal, why would you build round and not hexagonal? Secondly, if you are going to have a gun in your household, have you considered using snakeshot? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_shot. Perhaps you should have two or more clips with one dedicated to snakeshot and the other to regular ammunition.

You might look into the new .30 and 357 air rifles. Cast your own pellets or slugs and use a 3000 PSI hand pump (Chinese, about $65 on Amazon) for free air 'propellant'.
Cool that your using your 2nd Amendment rights and owning and training with a firearm.
Ex: for example the Benjamin Bulldog is a good air rifle
    www.airgundepot.com/big-bore-airguns.html
Initial investment is pricey but then you basically shoot for free if you cast your own projectiles.
