FUJIFILM X-T3: Yogyakarta in ETERNA Film Simulation

  • Fujifilm Indonesia wanders around Yogyakarta with the FUJIILM X-T3.
    The X-T3 comes with their Eterna film simulation as an option for baked-in color. It makes gorgeous images. But it also can shoot in F-log (recording internally or externally), and you can apply their official Fuji Eterna LUT to get that Fuji look in post. This opens up a ton of creative options and helps you maximize the camera’s dynamic range.

    This is it. This is the video I needed to be 100% certain about xt3, no more “cropped sensor bullshit”. My jaw dropped at the footage of the woman panting the fabric when I read “no colour grading”. Literally in shock.

    I have x-t3 it is impossible to shot 4k in 60fps 400mb, some kind of lie..

    Is this in-camera Eterna or the LUT as it looks different to other samples I’ve seen. I want to buy a Fuji camera with Eterna so would like to know. Thanks.

    When you don't wanna mess with colorgrading, get a Fuji.

  • @nachtheldnl

    How did you record 4K 60p 400mb? This is only possible in 200mb as far as I know. Have I missed a setting or something?

    • @JuanAntonioAlarcon
      @JuanAntonioAlarcon Před 3 lety +3

      400 Mbps does not work in F-log but it does work in Eterna.

  • @randysmith6493
    @randysmith6493 Před 2 lety

    Freaking amazing. So, Is this in camera Eterna, or is this F-log with Eterna LUTs plugged in during editing. I would like this quality in camera so while on very long distance trail that requires daily long miles, that my editing is as much of "drop on the timeline" as much as possible without having to grade every shot. There is also the issue what is to come of XT5. 40mega pixel, dual layered sensor ? the 400 bit details are amazing.

      This is just regular eterna in camera. Get the xt4 because you can handhold and it's perfectly stable

    4k 60fps 400 Mb 10 bit H.265 ? How can this be? Maybe 30 fps?

  • @mrhillcityva434
    @mrhillcityva434 Před 4 lety +1

    I have the xt30 and use the eterna profile. My footage does not look like this straight out if camera.

    • @gvrealestate2763
      @gvrealestate2763 Před 3 lety

      Are you recording using h.265 in 10bit?

    • @valoer
      @valoer Před 3 lety

      @@gvrealestate2763 There's difference between the xt3 and xt30 as well. I think they use a monitor in order to use 400mbps

  • @sasuke671
    @sasuke671 Před 4 lety

    Was this recorded internal or external? 10 bit 4:2:2? And did you apply the LUT over F-Log here or was this the in-camera simulation? Very awesome video!!

    I don't understand why such high shutter speeds were used. If 60 frames per second, then the shutter speed should be in the range 120-200. But 200 was rarely used. Otherwise, the image is jerky. There was also absolutely no need to shoot at 60 frames per second, since there were no dynamic and fast scenes. So for what purpose? Just "because it's trendy"? And yes, what an interesting and atmospheric country Indonesia is! Very beautiful shots, beatiful people. I especially liked the scenes with artisans working by hand.

    this eterna not flatten at all. my eterna look kind of flat have to add little bitcof saturation..

  • @ifeanyiisitor7929
    @ifeanyiisitor7929 Před 2 lety +1

    This is a lie. Whenever I film in eterna on the xt4, it NEVER looks like this no matter what I do. Straight out of camera it is quite flat and must be adjusted in post. This video says that no colour grading was done. I find that really hard to believe.

    Duuude!!! USE 1/125th shutter speed for 60p videos! It grinds my gears. I am disappoint, Fuji.
