Thanks Tanker Monkey for letting us go with you on the pump jack tour, really enjoyed seeing this. I used to check pumpjacks with my Dad when he had a few wells. Really like that nice storage building for the prime mover, pretty neat looking. Thanks for the pump jack ride also, really neat!

What does it take to be a Pumper? What education, training , and experience? Pro's and con's of the job?

I've never done this before but this Tuesday, I go and talk to the boss about the job. I live in Tulsa and the job is 20 minutes north of here in Sperry. $17 hr. to start with no experience he said... Do you have any advice for a greenhorn 47 year old handyman by trade getting into this job? I think I will like it because I live smack dab in the middle of Downtown Tulsa, I want some nature and away from the sirens, people and the 5G kill grid so there you go.... He said I could bring my dog too, thats a big plus... So yeah, any advice?

Im a floorhand currently on a hitch in ND. Not use to freezing weather an as a floorhand u get so soaked but I do not want to quit but I’m trying to figure out something else I can do in the oil industry lookin into maybe dealing with mud or trying to become a pumper.

And the 3rd reason not to ride a pump jack? You're going to get incredibly greasy and dirty. No matter how clean it looks.
