Lee Cuts David's Leg to Save Him (The Walking Dead | Telltale Games)

- Hardly anything is known about David's life before the outbreak began. All that is known is that he was a high school band director at Stone Mountain High School. It is also revealed that he taught both Ben and Travis. Shortly before the events in "Starved For Help", his camp was raided by bandits, who killed several teachers and students, and raided their supplies, causing David, Ben, and Travis to flee.
David is first seen in the woods, screaming because he was caught in a bear trap (most likely set by the St. John's brothers) while being accompanied by Ben and Travis. Lee Everett, Mark, and Kenny arrive and begin assisting with his leg. At this time, Travis warns Ben not to trust them as they might've been the people who raided their camp. Mark discovers that the bear trap had been tampered with and cannot be undone. Walkers arrive to attack them all, but Kenny and Mark are able to stall them while Lee goes about getting David out of the bear trap.
Lee saves David by cutting off his leg, freeing him from the trap, and then is carried by Mark. Travis, unfortunately, is distracted and devoured by walkers. David is then taken back to the motor inn, where he and Ben are allowed inside. Mark sets him down on a pickup truck so Katjaa may work on his bleeding leg, but he ultimately dies of blood loss. He then reanimates as a walker unbeknownst to Lee and Katjaa and attacks the latter before Lee saves her. He then attacks Lee, who manages to hold David at bay until either, Larry, Carley, or Mark comes to assist him and kill David. Ben will then explain how David reanimated. walkingdead.wikia.com

Fun fact about this clip.
Originally they had planned a determinate death for mark based on your choices in this scene.
The original plan was for the cannibals to kill mark if you manage to set the guy free by cutting through his leg only for him to die later on.
And if you left him in the bear trap instead it would’ve been this guy the family would eat at dinner and Mark would have been spared.
The bear trap was left by the saint johns.

If you leave David, Mark kills Travis and then it's Travis who attacks you.

I don’t get how a mentally and physically stable person can just get distracted like that when there life is at risk and there are zombies all around him, he should’ve just ran. But telltale were just looking for a forced way to kill the character and that’s what they did
Lee unknowingly killed him. Dude died from the infected axe that was used to amputate him. Lee just used it to kill a walker.
Which makes no sense for what happens to Clementine at the end in Season 4.

you know one of the things i noticed about larry is that he is a major hypocrite, he hates lee because he knows lee murdered someone, and yet meanwhile he has no problem letting other people die, like that time he wanted to throw duck out because he thought he was bitten, or how he got pissed off at lee for saving the teachers life instead of leaving him to die. he thinks lee is dangrous for killing someone, and at the same time hes always completely adamant on the idea on killing people himself
The people who own the farm set up the trap that why there no release latch they use those taps to tap there food so when they found them it would be a fresh bite to eat.

It looks like the one person that Larry didn't aggravate too much was Kenny. Even though he did briefly knock him out at the pharmacy depending on your choice if you(as Lee) decided to back Kenny up.

It was Travis' own fault that he died, he ran away to go puke in the woods when there was hordes of Walkers surrounding them, he would've survived if he had just stayed with the group, especially considering they actually freed his Teacher's leg.
