Director sh. Bhagyaraj sir, The way you acted innocently in movies and living in real life of you are same personality. You had so many associations with MGR SIR, NTR SIR, HEGDE JI AND AMITABH JI but never taken any advantage with any one. Great sir. Thanks Sh. Chitra sir your valuable in depth interactions and director exoressions in plains is great. Wish to lead happy and healthy life both of you sirs.
People keep talking about Maniratnam, Bharathiraja, Mahendran, But Bhagyaraj will always be the people's director. His movies were magic. His dialogues were perfect. His climax scenes caused so much impact. Only in his movies and KB sirs movies, the women looked and behaved differently.
His movies were a beautiful combination of Comedy & emotions. And he has so many experiences to share. How many people has he helped. I could listen to him speaking for hours.
Sorry bharathiraja is exceptional in making the people story of the land.. he took the right stones and made them diamonds..without him there is no.bhagyaraj..no mani Vannan..no parthiban..or even almost all the 1980s actresses such as radha..revathy..radhika.. ranjini..radha..vadivukarasi etc. Almost all of them were inexperienced new comers when they entered films..but he taught them every single thing about acting as a woman.. how they walk..how they speak in front of camera.. . kb sir also good in women subject..but many a times he puts women in bad limelight.. as If they are keep.or behind sex.....example arangetram.. Sindhu bhairavi..kalki.. aboorva raagangal..etc. but bharathiraja shown platonic non sexual love of radha and shivaji sir in muthal mariyadhai..if it's kb he will show they had a child also..😂. Bhagyaraj chinna veedu is full of body shaming.. but bharathiraja showed revathy as women empowerment in puthumai Penn.. and talked about protecting girl children for india's future in karuthamma..I think bharathiraja sir usually portrays women in good light and also as a powerful source.. even in sigappu rojakkal he showed sridevi as noble lady...even though kamal seen worst in the past.. we could see women as miss worlds in tik tik tik.. first.of it's kind in tamil cinema.. many more such films..

Bharathiraja is not just teacher..but guru in the real sense..he took risk in his career by accepting inexperienced assistants and actors..and shaped them to diamonds..which is rare..because teachers have only favorite students.. but a guru in Indian terms accepts everyone and shapes them.

First i thought its only KB.. then i thought its only manirathnam..now.its evident in this interview Bhagyaraj sir also faced issues with ilayaraja's egoistic and rough approach. So he is been like that for long time.. that is why bhagyaraj sir films he himself composed in many films to avoid ilayaraja and co.. this again proves music is secondary for a film success..because 90% of bhagyaraj films were successful without ilayaraja 😊

Bhagyaraj never respected music. His thought is screenplay is the king and music is just anyone can do. Ilayaraja has high opinion of his music. So he wanted a director to completely surrender to the need of music. Bhagyaraj has high opinion only on himself. He could have directed big actors but because of his opinion he is forced to direct himself and become music director.
