Dave is the real deal....always reliable and accurate information. I'm a Publisher Rocket owner and have followed Dave for years and he keeps coming up with real gems (like this one) all the time. There's no better tool for self-publishers to get a leg up on their Amazon book listing than publisher Rocket, dont' put off checking it out asap. - Don
Awesome and glad you like it!
100% agree
Every time I need to know something or have a question, you are there. I can't thank you enough for all you do!
Hello! My name is Waqar, and I’m an amazon agent. I have worked with over 40 reviewers across the world, and I have many great products available for rebates. Products are fully refunded in exchange for a good review. If you’d like to try but aren’t sure, you can start by ordering one product to see. Please let me know if you’re interested or have any questions 😊
THIS WAS SSSSSSOOOOOOO HELPFUL. I don't even want to tell you the hell I've been through uploading, reupload, trying to get the links in other ways. What a relief!! Thank you for taking the time to post this.
I'm so glad! Made my day to read that :)
Dave, I've collected my first review that way. Thank you!
It's an ideal tool to include in the answer to readers' emails.
It really is!
I swear you’re giving out gold for free, Dave. Thank you!
Awe...thanks!
Worked like a charm, thanks a million and hopefully this leads to many more book reviews. Appreciate the help 👍
Thank you for this simple, concise, informative video!😊 very helpful!
Dave, you rock, AGAIN! I have more than 30 years of sales and marketing management experience. But I am a first time author. I found the Rocket and your videos so helpful! Thank You! Edmund.
Awe super cool and thanks - that made my night to read :)
Awesome, Dave! This is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing. You rock my world.
Awe shucks, glad to help!
Fantastic tip. You're right. In my experience (as the author of 30 books that have sold more than a million copies) VERY few people will bother to write a review. Unless of course, they're a "hater" Then they go write a mile-long essay in the review section.
Making it easy for nice people to say something nice is a genius idea.
Yup, exactly!
I have a best seller and what happened is exactly as you said , great reviews mainly 1 line , haters mile-long essay full of details and even with pics.
Awesome information Dave!!! Thank you for making this video!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this tip! Wish I had known it earlier - but now I can test how much it improves my response to review requests.
Awesome and enjoy!
This is GREAT! Thanks, Dave! I'll start modifying my Kindle versions right away.
Awesome!
Excellent - quick and easy info! Thanks so much for clarifying how to do this.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome bit of information I did not know Dave! Thank you, yet again!
Happy to help!
This so was helpful! Easy and straight to the point. Definitely a big thumbs up from me 👍🏾👍🏾 thanks Dave 🤗

Awe, super cool - made my morning reading that :)
Hey, Dave.
Do you know if there's a way to create an international universal review link?
You know, one that will take the reader/reviewer direct to their own region's review page?
I've added several links to the content of my book but it'd be nice if I could just give them one simple link that worked for everybody.
Thanks, mate. (Still loving Rocket, by the way.)
Perfect and timely! I'll use it when my new book, Blind Black Sheep, comes out in five days.
Awesome and glad to help!
That's great. I now have a button in my MailChimp automation with the link and ASIN that will take my readers straight to the review page. Awesome!
Yup - should increase those review conversion rates :)
can you let me know how should i make a universal link for my book , thanks in advance
this is brilliant! Thank you so much, Dave!
Glad to have helped!
What a great little tidbit of info! Thanks a bunch!
Glad it was helpful!
EXCELLENT TIP, DAVE!!! OMG awesome! Thank you!
Glad to have helped!
Thanks, Dave. Very helpful!
This is a pro tip! Simple and useful. Thank you! Cheers from Spain
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow! Just what I needed - awesome video!! Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
Well Dave you did it again - you helped make my life easier LOL. I just wanted to thank you real quick because my new chapter book Zoey and the Forest Friends just launched 3 days ago, and thanks to Publisher Rocket, I was able to hit #1 new release in a couple different categories (for both Kindle & paperback!). My book is contuining to climb in the rankings and we 've hit the top 100 best sellers in multiple categories. I'm sending you a virtual high-five and a huge thank you!
Awe super awesome and glad to have helped. Also, congrats!
David as always great idea and thanks for making it ways
My pleasure!!
Thanks, Dave! You’re my hero.
Great info and you came in at less than 2 minutes. Kudos!
Thanks...wanted to get right to the point...not much explaning needed.
What a great tip. Dave, you rock! Thanks so much.
My pleasure!
This is a helpful tip, Dave. Thanks! I'm curious if you have any tips or best practices for creating similar links that go to the local amazon review pages of your books. I have a lot of readers in other countries and I'd like to include a review link at the end of my book. But everything I've read about embedding those in a newsletter or book only take viewers directly to one store. Any tips would be apprecaited!
Thank you for that link!
Epic! Super helpful! Thank you!
Hey Dave - thanks for this special link! Any advice for getting this to work on an iphone? The link takes you right to the review page via using a PC but when I ask people to try to do it via a copy of the link to their phone, it brings them to their Amazon sign in page?
Thanks Dave. My wife thinks it's really funny because every time I do a new Marketing thing my wife says, "Who taught you that?" and I always say, "My guy Dave!"
Hahaha!
Fantastic, thank you, Dave!
First time here. Found valuable information.
Hi Dave! Love PR and your videos! Can I ask can you get different links so that the reader to the relevant Amazon country review page where they purchased the book from or does it automatically send them to that page? Thanks again! Nathalie
Awesome Dave, as always...Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey thanks for the info, questions for you: should I create a QR code for the book link to print in the book?
Should the link be in both hardcover and paperback? Where in the book should the link be? Lastly how can I create this link to add to book before I upload it to KDP? Meaning how can I test the link before I put into book since it’s not yet published?
This is so awesome! But if we are using Amazon’s ISBN we won’t know the number until the book is already being uploaded, correct? Then are we able to go in and add a page with this link once we know the ISBN?
Very helpful. Thanks.
Thanks, Dave! You're a wizard.
Glad to help!
Gold! Thanks, Dave!
Glad to help!
will I need to make two diffferent ones for ebook and paperback?
Thanks a lot for this new video Dave and also for the Rocket that I purchased a few weeks ago. I am absolutely loving it!!!
I wanted to ask you, in one of your articles on adding more categories in KDP you mention this:
- Find a category you want to rank for and copy the entire string.
- Check to make sure it isn’t a secret Kindle category that needs a specific keyword by searching Kindle Direct Publishing Selecting Browse Categories page. (link below)
If it is, copy the keyword and go into your KDP dashboard, and make one of your seven Kindle Keywords be that Keyword. ------ My question is what is "secret Kindle category" that needs a specific keyword? I have looked at Kindle Direct Publishing Selecting Browse Categories page but cannot find anything there. Could you clarify? Thanks a lot.
You actually no longer need that keyword for certain categories. Just by asking for a category now, you're golden. :)
Thanks, Dave. Amazon wouldn't let me see the link because it thought I was trying to review my own book. Cheers!
Wow, that's excellent. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
You freaking rock!!! Thanks Dave!!
You're welcome!
Hi Dave, Your video is great. Is it possible to create this book review link UNIVERSAL? I really need that.
Thank you for this tip!
You bet!
Hi. I am a new author and about to release my first book on Amazon KDP.
Now just to be clear, I have about 50 to 60 people who have read my book and want to review it when I push the publish button on Amazon KDP, but are you saying they have to have spent $50 + this year to be able to do that?
Thank you!
Dave, where do you paste the created link? Thanks.
Fantastic! Thanks so much! Does this direct readers to the geographical region or Amazon store where they bought or borrowed the book - or only to the US store?
Only to the US.
@@Kindlepreneur Thank you :) And thank you, also, for all your great content and for Rocket which I LOVE!
Thank you!!!
Awesome! Thanks again!
You bet!
this is great. thank you.
You bet!
Wao this was ver very helpful
Very useful thanks! How does this work with international stores?
Obviously I can set up a link to the UK store, CA store, etc. but I'd rather not have to put a link to every store in the back of a book or on a website...
Honestly, not sure. I tried putting it into BookLinker, but that didn't work.
That's awesome, thanks!
Glad you like it!
Cool, thnks Dave x
This is off topic but you made a video about creating Amazon book review link by using the ISBN 10, but ISBN’s only come in 13 digits, how can I figure out my ISBN 10? Also can I create this link before my book
Is available on Amazon? My book is being formatted and formatter is asking me for link. I’m not uploading my book for preorder so how can I do this?
Thank you.
Hey my boy I just publish two short ebook of 24 pages but have no idea about the book review link as this book publishing thing take a whole on me, but what I want to ask is there a video that show me how to get review for these ebook
Hi Dave, Thanks for all the info you give us for FREE and I'm loving the Publisher Rocket ! Question; many people who buy my book may only use Amazon for the first time to purchase my book. They did not spend $50, so will they still be able to leave a review, since they did actually buy the book ? Thanks, Nick
THey can't until their amazon account has spent $50. But once it has, they can go back to your book and leave a review.
My book is still on pre-order status and it shows an error message. So on the publishing day it will work, right?
Dave, Thanks for the great advice. If I use the link with the ASIN but my reader had purchased my paperback version from Amazon, would the review still be verified? Or does my purchaser of the paperback version need to click an Amazon review link containing my ISBN10 (instead of ASIN)? Thanks!
Yup - it still will be verified.
Great video, any idea how to set one up for Australia ? i've tried changing the .com to .au in the link provided, however it does not recognise this address.
No, not at this time.
Dave - I love all the stuff I'm learning from you. This one has me hesitant because of Amazon's recent crackdown on reviews. Will this get me or my reviewer flagged? AND doesn't the review increase ranking on a keyword if my reviewer goes back into the same keyword door to leave it? Thanks for your insight!
No, not with this. You'll be fine. This isn't a manipulation tactic.
Thank you for this! Also loving the rocket softeware, but can I ask when uk data will be available? Or if you know of anything I can use for uk in the mean time? Thanks
Not sure about the UK - probably by this summer. As for using the UK, comparing the data we have on the US data, it nearly proportional. The only time where they are vastly different is if you're typing in truly British terms like Cricket, etc...
@@Kindlepreneur thanks for the reply. It was mainly for the category research. I used the software to find the best categories for my book, but when I asked for it to be added to the categories in the UK amazon said the categories are different. So it was mainly to see which are the best categories for the book
@@Kindlepreneur Would be great if you could add UK data! I have assumed that results for .com would mostly be fairly similar to .co.uk, but I bet there are plenty of terms that work well for the US but not the UK, and vise versa. Also, being able to say you've got UK data - I bet you'd get more Publisher Rocket sales from here. I expect it would make more of a difference than having the .de data - though my wife's German and I've in mind to do some German language stuff - so I'm very happy about that!
It's available for paperback
Will this be published with VERIFIED PURCHASE badge by those reviewers who bought the item? Or do they still need to place the review through their Orders page? (And is there a way to make link for that?) Thank you for the video!
Yes...that's specifically what verified means. You've been verified that you actually bought the book.
The above link does not work kindlepreneur! I add the asin it says 'We can't find the product you are looking for' !! How? Help!
Thanks for this clarity! Here's my question: I registered my e-book for my ISBN at Bowker and it says ISBN 13, but you clearly say we need ISBN 10. How do we get an ISBN 10? I know the other option is the ASIN but I can't find that number anywhere either. FYI, it's not published yet, but I want to put the link on my endmatter before I upload to Amazon.
I have the same question.
Did you get an answer?
Hey Dave! Excellent video! I just bought Publisher Rocket and love it! I just want to make sure I understand this correctly. In order for us to put this link in the ebook to get reviews, we're going to have to upload the book first to get the ASIN number, then go back and edit the book with the link, then upload it again, right? Thanks in advance for all you do in the publisher community.
I have the exact same question
@@AdventureHorseRidinginNYS you have to upload it first, get the ASIN number, use the code that he gives you, update your manuscript, then upload it to KDP. It works perfectly! Hopefully this will help.
@@181matrix you are very kind and thank you so much
@@AdventureHorseRidinginNYS No problem. Best of luck!
It says " this account does not meet mini eligibility criteria for review " what does that mean brother
Dave, this may be a really stupid question...but how do we get the link in the ebook? We can't get the ASIN until the book goes live, correct? I'm assuming I then have to reload the ebook with the link in it...but will it have to wait another 72 hours. Any help anyone can give me would be awesome and very much appreciated. Thank you!
You're correct. You will have to update the content of your book to include the link. It usually doesn't take the full 72 hours, though. In any case, the book will remain live (without the link) until it is updated.
Thank you!@@thomasgreenbank7580
THANK YOU!
You're welcome!
And with that Dave Chesson is COOL. Thanks Dave.
haha..now if only I could get my 20 year old to believe that...haha.
Thanks Dave.
You're welcome!
I have bought your kdp rocket and recommend it to all. It's fabulous! Concerning the above how do we convert a 13 digit isbn into a 10 digit one? Thanks so much! Your site is so helpful.
Glad you like it. As for the question, you can find your 10 and 13 on Amazon - there is no way to 'convert' one to the other though
@@Kindlepreneur The 13 I have. But where do I find the 10 digit number. Also, can you put this link in the ebook before the book is published or is this something we can do after the book is published? Thanks! I am currently using your description generator! I recommend you to all would be kdp writers!
Dave, good tip. I need to ask when/how would you actually use that link. Doesn't this presuppose they bought the book and you're trying to make it easy for them to review it? How do you know who bought it and where to send the link to them?
No problem. This article explains it and gives ideas on where to use it: kindlepreneur.com/how-to-get-book-reviews-with-no-blog-no-list-and-no-begging/
I am not eligible to create that link and I don't know why?
Thank You!!!!!!!
You're welcome!
Great tip! But will this work for customers who ALREADY bought the product? It would be nice if it was a "verified review".
Yes, it works for all people who click the link and have an Amazon account. If they bought it, then it will be a verified review. If they haven't, then it will be an unverified review.
Dave, how can I get the ASSIN if I havn't published the book?
You'll need to publish the book in order to get the ASIN.
Good info.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Dave cool tip, however, I can't get it to hyperlink. Is this just an error on my behalf?
Add to the front of the link. That will make it hyperlink-able (is that a word?)
Any way, I hope this helps.
Yup - what Keith Wheeler said. Some places need that to recognize it as a link (but not all - like FB and others...they see the .com at the end and are good). The reason why I didn't add the infront of the example in the description is because every time I do that, CZcams truncates it and some peopel copy what is trucated and then it doesn't work.
Will putting the Amazon link at the end of the book (where an author asks readers to review the book) violate Amazon rules?
No.
I've copied my ASIN to the end of this and added to the beginning and it goes to my Amazon log in page. What am I doing wrong? .
Yes, like the video shows, you need to log in to your account in order to leave a review. Then you see the review page. But remember if your account is the same as the book, Amazon won't let you leave a review for your own book.
Any advice for when someone tries to leave a review and an error box pops up saying reviews not allowed for this product? I have asked quite a few people to try it and everyone gets the same message and not getting a response from Amazon about what to.
There could be many reasons for that....so not sure which one would be the case. It could be that the account you're trying to leave a review using doesn't meet amazon's requirements to do so. Could be the book is too new. Could be that the account that published the book had a violation and Amazon hasn't shutdown the account, but has pulled its ability to allow reviews, etc...
@@Kindlepreneur It's not working for my books. I'll keep plugging away.
Thank you! What do you mean by ISBN 10? My ISBN has 13 numbers - don't all of them? I'm confused at this??
When you publish your physical book on Amazon, Amazon creates their own ISBN number which is the ISBN-10. You can find it on your book's amazon sales page in the book details. It's right above the ISBN-13 number.
@@Kindlepreneur Thank you!!
@@debbirollo5661 Glad to help
Are you able to make a QR code for that for call to action at the end of the book ?
Yup. And I recommend that.
@@Kindlepreneur thanks man I really appreciate what your doing, I’m publishing my debut memoir in a few months “He Calls Me Redeemed a memoir of childhood sex abuse heroin addiction hope and redemption, and this is all new to me. I was really struggling to decide weather or not to do pre orders. Saw your video, not doing it. 👍🏼
Can we do this to our paperback colouring books ?
Yes
@@Kindlepreneur I want to but kdp rocket but the price is very high for me, i'm a beginner to the industry , can I have a code promo or something ?
Good News but how do we share it with readers?
I'll be coming out with a video soon on that, and also another specifically on how to increase your book reviews legitimately.
Hey Dave, Can you place this link into your eBook? Thanks
Yes you can and there is nothing against that in the ToS
@@Kindlepreneur So I can include such a link at the end of my book, right?
So I guess you're suggesting to put this in Facebook postings, on your own website, on tweets, in the backmatter of your book? Is there another way to share this with readers?
I'll be making a video soon on where to put your links and steps to get more reviews legitimately.
@@Kindlepreneur Youdaman, Dave!
Hi Dave - does this still work? Checking before I add it to a pre-order, thanks! (PS - I LOVE rocket)
Yes it does - just make sure you don't check the link yourself - Amazon won't let the owner of the book leave a review, so 'you' won't see it work...but your friends or strangers will. As for Rocket, awesome!
@@Kindlepreneur Thank you!
