Firing mostly premium ammo against players who didn't know how to put him out by firing at weak spots. Seal clubbing at it's best. It was a thing back in the day when I was playing wot. And coming from a former super unicum at least if I created a new account that says a lot. In this battle you only had to give me that t-34 with the 57mm gun and he was smoked not to mention a KV-1 with the 85mm. No premium ammo needed. His side scrape is terrible at best...
Btw since I am an old timer I do have this tank too!

to all those complaining about the gold spam, I hope you understand this gun has 92/127 penetration which drops off _extremely_ hard with distance

Back in the day, when WoT was a good game, the T14 was actually a pretty good tank. It wasn't overpowered, but is definitely wasn't bad
It was what premium tanks were painted as:
Mediocre, better than stock tech tree, worse than fully equipped tech tree, with preferential matchmaking and improved credit gain. A combine harvester, just good for farming but doing farming reasonably well.
Yea, back then I got my highest kill count game in a T14, I think I got 12 or 13 kills that match.

Agreed, not it's fault that powercreep has made it look way worse by comparison now.
It really was a fun tank back in 2013 when I got the T14. The gun was crap but the armor wasn't bad and I played it almost daily for a long time so I could train my heavy tank crews. I haven't played since 2015 but I did love that tank.

t14s armor really isnt all that bad, i played it a lot in the past, it was fairly bouncy

When I saw t-14 i had to do a double take at the tier thinking they put the T-14 Armata into the game at tier 5.
He sacrificed the requisite number of poodles to the ghost of George Patton. That improves the accuracy.
You can compensate for the T14's rather mediocre penetration by using a gun rammer or gun stabilization. This, plus a periscope and spall liner actually is my setup in my T14 (the gun BTW, is from the Lee/Grant and the early M4s; also I only use standard ammo, and the setup is also in my KV-220-2 Beta Test).

The T14 was my first premium tank too. I got it for the exact reasons you described here. I still love the little bugger, though I haven't used it for a long long time.
But Jingles, you forgot to look up the stats for most damage done in the T14. Is Pancake top of the list?

I'm so used to war thunder, when you said that the t-14 sucks, I was really confused. The tank in war thunder is incredible, I dont know how they messed it up here
The Mouse That Roared was a fantastic book (late 1950s) made into a fantastic movie (early 1960s), funny and satirical, with the late great Peter Sellers. The book is really short but packs in a lot of content.

Oh, I get it now. It gets the gun from the M3 Lee, which was an all round terrible tank.
Well, at least until the DW2 (Durbruchswagen 2) turned up. Which achieved that which was supposed impossible: it is worse.
The T14 may have low accuracy, but that aim circle was on the smaller side when driving.
Commandant Jingles will be the replacement for Commandant Lassard at the Police Academy after getting his tank "..many, many, many years ago..."
Hey Jingles, I have to sadly report the the Army Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Ground, has been transfered to Ft Lee Virginia.
This happened in 2010... But the outdoor static displays are still available for viewing during daylight hours.

They actually closed the museum at Aberdeen Proving grounds, they have been moving most of the relics to Alabama, I believe.
It’s a shame, I really liked their tank grounds/museum.
The T14 is a great crew trainer. Had my highest kill game in thing... Stop laughing. 10 kills. Enemy team won by capping. I would have killed them all but the tank was too slow to get back to the base and the rest of my team died. Well done Panc4keuk on some great game play.
It's the other way round. If he has a lottery ticket, he can throw that away, because he has used up all his luck. That's how probability works.
Probability doesn't care about the past, so neither matters.
You can get heads 19 times, and it will still be 50/50 next time you throw. Once you get past improbable, it no longer matters, as it is the reality now. Bayes formula I believe.
@@kresovk5 True, but when you do a statistical amount of throws, it'll be 50% at the end. So if you threw 500 times heads, which is unlikely, it'll be more likely, that you throw 500 times tails afterwards.
So you have to distinguish between one throw and a statistical amount of throws. So yes, in a way statistics cares about the past in a statistical way.
@@paulplus3830 But the Heads side of any coin is very very slightly heavier than the Tails side because it contains more metal density as the Head image is much bigger in mass than the Tail image .

If you want to go this route, then a skilled thrower can manipulate the throw anyway.

Man the last time i saw a T14 play this well i was still in highschool.
I'd say it was more of a tank that trains/teaches us how to play. Say what you will about the T14... it still has a few tricks up its tracks.
Sadly (because I used to go see the tanks at APG all the time starting when I was young) I believe they have moved all the tanks from Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland to Fort Lee in Virginia where they are building a new museum (I think they recently renamed Fort Lee as well).
It's kind of funny, in War Thunder ground, the T14 (and the Excelsior) are actually pretty decent. The T14's armor holds up pretty well most of the time, and the American 75mm cannons are actually pretty good (though it's starting to show its age with the T14). The Excelsior is the really funny one because it's absolutely awful in WoT, but it's so rare in WT that next to nobody knows how to kill it without resorting to Track 'n' Barrel Torture.

This has to be the best T14 game ever..i usually bounce 15 shots and die within 4 mins.
Lottery ticket, instant games, 3-card Monty, slot machines... dayam, son.
I used to love the T14. A number of years back it used to have pretty exceptional armour. Hull down, angled to cover the machine gun port you could bounce a great many things. But with the advent of more and more paper tanks and increase in gold ammo it's passed it heyday. Was sad when I discovered War Chunder had thrown it in the premium section as well.

The T14 was my first premium heavy tank (received through an event; I never spent a single penny on that game, lol) and it was my first tank to rack-up 10 kills in a single match (with the last kill being a poetic ramming kill).

If I remember back the 10 years or so when I had this tank, it wasn't as horrible as Jingles makes it out to be. Sure, the machine gun port is a shot trap. However, it used to be that the armor was good enough as long as you hid that port. The T14 is probably the best teaching tank in the game. You learn how to angle your armor, you learn to hide weak spots, you learn to aim for weak points, and it's slow enough to keep you from running into too much trouble. Nowadays, sure, it's probably much worse since everything has been powercrept into oblivion. However, it's these kinds of tanks I've had the most fun in too.
My favorite tank was T23E3. Sure, it wasn't an amazing gun and the armor was mediocre, but the mobility was great. You could outrun and outflank anything while slowly chipping away at their health.
Jingles talking about this tank being terrible makes me wish he'd do another M3 Lee replay contest

He switched back to standard ammo starting at 6:17 and was still using it when he was attacking (and bouncing off of) the Bishop at 7:15.
Haha, that was my first premium tank too. It is possible to have games like this, but that is what made it so frustrating. For every one of those you had ten forgettable games. Spam the gold, maintain cover and yea incredible. Or convince yourself how this is a beast and into the garage in the first 2 minutes.
Congrats on a great game! T14 was actually the first premium tank I bought, gun was ok if you only used premium ammo, I don't remember the armor being that bad and the pref matchmaking was good, then I bought the Churchill III so didn't play it again. After that I found out that I didn't actually need to buy tanks to play the game so never bought another one, ever lol.
The T14 might have a number of weak spots but I have had a number of positive and amazing matches with this big booty heavy. It has been a go to for years and when handled boldly can create a number of opportunities for the team. just my humble opinion.

I’m pretty sure, when I first picked up the T14, that its armour used to stack up pretty well. Maybe I was just fortunate and kept running up against enemies who didn’t know what they were dealing with 😅
I still run my t14 out now and then, it really isn't a bad tank as long as you play it more like a heavyweight medium not a heavy. The gun is sub par but, its fast, and if you get yourself somewhere hull down it can dish out damage fast enough to do the job.
I have found that the T14's armor is quite good.
Sounds like this tank got power creeped, back in the day when I still played it was always a favourite. The armour wasn't amazing but it was solid and the penetration and accuracy, when you needed them was made up for by the excellent acceleration/deceleration that let you stutter forward and back to hide week points around the pretty solid rate of fire on the gun
Historically, the T-14 could mount the 76mm M1A1. Giving it that would make it pretty solid.
I grabbed a T-14 when it first came out. At the time it was actually a pretty solid face-hugger tank.
I mean...
Back in the day, when the philosophy with premiums (Type-59 nothwithstanding) was "better than stock, worse than fully upgraded, but gets preferential MM", this damnable thing was actually not half bad.
Now, we must remember that we are talking about the times when premium ammo actually cost real money and seeing anything with penetration approaching 100mm on tier IV was virtually unheard of, and highest pen on Tier V was, I think SU-85 with 144mm pen.
On tier V, this thing was basically struggling only against KV-1 and T1 Heavy in some circumstances. It suffered more against Tier VI.
Armour actually worked on it - simple armour scheme than now, and lower plate is counter-intuitively not garbage.
But this was YEARS ago.
Now, the average penetration went up by 20-30mm at least compared to ancient times, and that is not counting the premium ammo - anything relying on armour is virtually pointless these days.
That is precisely the thought process I had when buying the T14.

I've run the t14 a lot. even recall being in a tier VII battle in the short time when WOT removed protection.
(got artied and died in one shot from full health) it is ok in battle. hide the machine gun port helps a lot
it will win a one on one battle with most tanks it plays against. HE was a good option before the recent nerf.
The first thing you need to know about my WoT playing: I was utter crap. I mean peak performance for me was 'average.' But this was a favorite tank of mine for low tier and I had excellent results. yes, the gun is crap, but I had a game where another T14 and I teamed up and wrought absolute havoc on the other team. I got a Top Gun and total damage was pretty good (I don't remember but at the time I was like, ;'Well that's alright then.' After the match the other T14 driver asked how much Gold ammo I'd used and was shocked when I said 'None.' Angling the armor correctly, shooting at weak spots and- perhaps most importantly- having a cooperative teammate working with me yielded an exceptional game. But honestly I often used this tank to grind credits and found it very good for that.
This tank is a beast. Its armour is quite good if you use it right. Put it on a ridge and fire away

I remember the first match that i played when WoT launched (Played the Closed and Open Beta, yes i'm that old), and there was an entire match of 30 T-14, because Betaplayers got it for free. It was glorious while it was so stupid, because T-14 actually has not an easy time to kill another T-14.
I've got a Steel Wall medal in a Stug III. If you play enough games, weird stuff happens. 😆

When I got my T14 about 10 years ago I was used to play lights only and max Tier4/5. Iwasn't used to the comparable sluggish movement but was amazed of the durability and the damage. Almost every game had a steel wall wich i didn't know before. I believe this is my second most played Tank after the Pz II. Let me check... 1: Pz. II 1297 battles 3: T-34 with 620 Battles just passed the T-14 with 616 Battles and 50% win rate. And I did not play them all for several years now. Maybe the T-34 because It still misses the Ace Tanker.
The T14's best weapon is it's face, there's only ramming speed..
This tank is a monster in WarThunder. I have it and love it.
Back when the troll-canon was on the ISU-152 I bounced off a Herbie.. lost the battle due to that.
I got a steel wall medal in my Panther 1 and couldn't believe it. Considering I was in a tier 9 match and there were 7 heaviea per side.
For once I'm not going to complain about the use of premium ammunition. The standard penetration is awful. Well played Pancake. I found the T14 incredibly frustrating to play. That has to be a damage record in this tank.

He did as much damage as the next 9 tanks on his team...combined, and something like 13x as much damage as the division on his team.
Perhaps the devs thought it was a T-14 Armata, Stronk
T14 is pretty good in War Thunder, lot of fun
