@morozovautomotive What do I do with the extra part of the casement? It’s just hanging loose and as a result there’s a gap that air passes through.
@@simons3519 You can either attach it to the existing Velcro halfway together with the other end. And/or you can use another roll of tape to secure it on top.

I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

I just used this again and kept stopping it, following your instructions and would watch again. You really helped me with installing the fabric and I appreciate it very much. Thank you for these clear instructions. The hard part is securing the zipper opening so I used white duct tape to hold the zipper pull to the hose to keep the bugs out. Thank you again!

Thanks for clarifying. For sizing, the manufacturer always says to measure just one side + top and bottom length. Obviously that doesn’t work, as you’ve explained you have to add all four sides.

I have just got a simular seal and was wondering how to deal with the handles. Your great video seems to deal with that well. Thanks. My instructions say only put sticky tape on 3 lengths of the frames, omitting the hinge edges. I am happy with your method but do you have any thoughts on this?

Just buy a flourescent light replacement panel. Cut it to size with an xacto knife or box cutter and cut the hole for the exhaust pipe. Remove the screen and replace it with the panel. Tape it on with masking tape if needed. Close the window the same way as if the screen were in it.
I'd love to see a test with window seal vs without and another without seal and without tube just AC on a stand and exhaust right against open window and how the temperatures are effected over 24h.
Open window? You must be kidding. The heat would just come in despite exhaust.

I know that they they make 300 cm (118 inches) material. The extra material can be secured with additional tape.
