We are loving family that live in Bamboo Huts in Rural Thailand. That latest team seem to work like magic. Nothing in this world comes easy Ryan and I hope everyone realises the amount of effort that you and Damo put into every project that you do. The planning, the decision making the work involved and the cost takes a lot of mental strain, but you are right, every little step along life's journey is an adventure and hopefully leads to your end goal and heaven. As an old man, I have often learned the hard way but also benefitted from my mistakes along the way. Life does not come with a manual and what works for one person may not work for someone else! One size certainly doesn't fit all! Stick to your way and what you are all comfortable with and you will achieve your dreams. Lovely video guys! I did like the outside shower when you first made that, loved the decoration with the bamboo mats and the pebbles on the floor. But a garden patch will be great too to grow some more vegetables. Well thought out by Damo to put that big window in, will brighten up the room. I remember when we had our extension built, the builders asked do you really want to put that window in on the side because the 2 French door will let a lot of daylight in already, but I'm happy we did because not only does it let more light in, we also have a view at nature ;-)

Yes, the Wife said that a Company used to encourage farmers to grow Eucalyptus trees and pay farmers for it too, but the problem is where it's grown you can't grow Rice, because as you said the Eucalyptus has taken all the nutrients out of the land. So now they want all the Eucalyptus got rid of!!! Ironic, isn't it?? Lol

Eucalyptus trees make up most of Australian forests. They were actually also introduced to California around 100 years because of their drought resistant qualities but like in Thailand are now regarded as invasive. The oils are sometimes explosive in fires and hence the terrible bushfires in Oz and wildfires in California.

The farm is turning out beautiful, Otis is very smart n intelligent for a four year old. To be honest, some process of this new cottage build was not there, it was not shot or i don't know but i won't say i missed it coz i never miss any of your video uploads, so basically, i couldn't get the step by step building process so I dont know when and how we reached this completion stage

Hey Ryan! Thanks for another great video. It has been a real joy watching your journey. I'm curious about the window options you find in your area and how the prices compare to what you'd pay back home. My wife and I are planning to move back to Issan and build our own place.
I've seen a few people mention that Thailand doesn't have a lot of double paned windows, so it's hard to insulate indoors if you're using aircon, even if you insulate your roof/walls.
Yes you won’t find much double but the aircon will be fine 😁

Cheers Kristian, I tried a few soft titles like “expat life in rural Thailand” and similar that would have worked well in the old days, but CZcams didn’t recommend them out so they ended up with very limited reach. A title like this which is true to the video in my opinion and follows my rules of no naked women or porn-click will reach a wider audience. It’s a symptom of the CZcams market place and it’s never nice to see a vlog that many hours work went into remain in a dark corner of the platform 🙏🙏

Eucalyptus leaves are no good for compost. may be why they are are seen as pest. Koalas love them though.

Yeah we have a well with a bunch of blue pvc pipes. The wife made a sprinkler system out of them with those sprinkler heads they sell over there.

A man of your knowledge should be able to make a still to refine those eucalyptus leaves into eucalyptus oil, very good for a lot of medical purposes, I always have a bottle here in Australia, smells great and fantastic for sniffle’s and arthritis 👍🇦🇺🇹🇭🇬🇧

You would have to be one of the best days I've seen
I just tried to sign up with a 21 pound membership which is about 900 baht but the amount they wanted to charge me is $37 about 1400 baht. Too much money going to the wrong place. I don't mind helping out directly into your bank but 500baht just disappearing into cyberspace is too much. Sorry.
His David, thats strange and I will have to look into this, was it to adopt one of the animals? because that should be a flat 21 GBP and they take their commission from that. I can set up a special CZcams membership for this if you prefer and let me know which animal and what name you would like! :)
