Making a Woodworking Mallet

Making an unnecessarily large. woodworking mallet. I think I'll call it Thomas. Its the little mallet that could. Got something that wont budge Thomas will get it......or break it.

very good work. Why do you apply the oil with emery cloth?

It seems to help work it in on the initial coat. After that coat, you're supposed to lightly sand it before applying the next coat, but it always gunks up on me, so I basically wet sand it with the oil. Two steps in one!
