buy 4 items at Tesco: 15£
buy a bag of stuff at Lidl: 8.99£
the gap is massive, i used to be a Tesco customer but not anymore, now i make sure i spend all my money at Lidl
Aldi is better.
- totally not an aldi emoloyee
did you know tesco are more expensive than Mark's and Spencer's for many items , very true ....
Tesco is still my favourite shop
@@NinjaDrawzArt so TESCO will love You !
Well done to Aldi for gaining all the customers cause of cost of living I was shopping there before all this they have some great stuff.
Aldi sucks. Poor people shop there. All the food tastes like cardboard
OK lidl
As a German it is nice to see that also different countries like the concepts of Aldi and Lidl
80% of my grocery shopping is in Aldi. - New York state resident
Love those two brands. The better off now shop there too. Made me LOL when they turned their nosies up . But clearly both brands are rocking it 100%. Yes their prices have gone up a bit but nothing like the money grabbing share priced other lot. Go Lidl and Aldi ❤️
We shouldn't call them "discount stores" we should called the others "overpriced stores". One big thing you're missing why they're cheaper is they're privately owned. So they're not required to make large profits, push for growth and all the other non end consumer focused corporate metrics the traditional supermarkets obsess over. It's ironic all the best power to the people ideas come from modern day Germany.
Why is that ironic? Germany have always been as bout the people and against the elite
Amazon warehouse? Costco? Target? Walmart? But German? How do they maintain uniqueness of brand when competing in the U.S.?
I have SAiNSBURY, LIDL and ALDI, all very close to me. LIDL is definitely cheaper for the things I require, but there are some items I require that I can only obtain from one or other of these three.
People say in Atlanta, Georgia Lidl is higher than Kroger and Walmart food prices.
👍👍👍
I was in my Aldi and two old people were freaking out because they had to bag their own groceries they just paid $0.50 for a box of Mac and Cheese they aren't at Whole Foods.
How I wish they would come to Canada to encourage competition. But I know they won't with how bad Canada's market and taxes are.
Your neighbors to the south have thousands of ALDI stores
WHEN WILL LIDL STORE BE COMING HERE IN MICHIGAN PLEASE LET US KNOW THANK
stick with Walmart you little scruff 🏴😩🧕🏿
Bit weird to hear an American discussing about German cheapo supermarkets and saying “lorry”?
i return just for the chocolate biscuits
Due to Brext i though German supermarkets were leaving? instead they are making more money hmmmmm
USA is not EU and Lidl is their.
if you like low quality food, these places are for you. I`ve tried them a few times in the last year, I always throw half of it away, because its bad.
My lidl doesn't employ cashiers, it was a Friday and there was 1 security there that's it. They're not paying for employees so on one hand I I like store but now that I think of it I almost don't want to support removing cashiers because it's gonna normalize it
In most of countries they are not cheaper then ordinary stores with domestic brands and something cheaper with own brands ,now when price of cooking oil ,flower, sugar and similar goes up they basically have same prices like any other store
Today's newspapers have highlighted the fact that many shoppers are of the opinion that certain food retailers may be forcing prices upwards unnecessarily, and not due to the products being more expensive to produce and therefore simply a sign that these retailers are increasing certain prices to enhance their profits under the implied guise of sound retailing. This may be case for your own supermarket, hitherto regarded as the doyen of those providing value for money. However, I have spotted a quite alarming price increase in your store on a product whose price has increased overnight by almost 100%. I refer to your brand of cottage cheese, the flavoured ones, pineapple and onion with chives. I believe that it was formerly priced at about 65p per tub but now, quite abruptly, priced at a whopping £1.29. I shall have to look more intently at other of your lines to see whether prices are now increasing beyond a reasonable amount, If this is now the norm, it certainly challenges your boast that Aldi is the 'cheapest supermarket around'.
I'm not English but isn't it "their" and not "there"?
Yes your correct - it should be "Their Prices" !
They don't know how to spell anymore.
That are not supermarket!
I bought a shopping trolley from Aldi for a quid the other day and one of the wheels stopped working on the way home. Just goes to show you get what you pay for at these so called 'bargain' supermarkets!
Lol
It broke because you paid £1 of course
@@Lukaszab4 😂
💀
Wait it's just clicked with me what you said, I'm pretty sure the Aldi trolleys have locks in one of the wheels to stop them from being brought out the gate and stolen
A month later I'm realising you're probably joking. Gosh my brain is slow. 😅
Their prices are not much lower. Some products are more expensive.
Sorry prices have gone up there not cheap anymore.
Because they have a minimum staff.
anyway... but they pay better !
Morrisons and Sainsbury's cannot match Aldi lidi Asda no chance
It's easy they take advantage and don't pay their employees considering they have had two class action lawsuits against them one paid out 10 million and one for 2mill I just got a check for 16.72 as my share of the 2mill like wtf
Aldi actually pay their employees better than most retailers cause they hire less of us so they can afford it. at one point we were the cheapest retailer AND best paid employers. sadly we're only the first one now but not by much
Lidl is wayyy better than Aldi's and I knew about Lidl before it came to America I knew of Lidl many years ago Cos it's in England and I have family in England so I was soooo surpised to see Lidl come to America ☺️ but I was so mad that it wasn't the same kind of Lidl it was the American version of Lidl so the products where American version which is Notttt the same however they said anything that is in black label preferred those are the ones from Europe The original place
Both better in different ways
@@NinjaDrawzArt yeah I've realized that some things at Aldi are better than liddl and some things at liddl are better than Aldi lol
Who paid for this piece the Lidi and Aldi marketing team so biased. The low prices are 100% the main attraction! The quality of food and everything else is low to average at best! Anyone unbiased can tell the difference between it and other better quality supermarkets. Quality is noticeably lower then Sainsbury's let alone Waitrose and M&S. Also most stores are a disorganising mess. Cheap but quality is effected depends what you want!
any food and money in my bank account is better than great food and going bankrupt
It’s largely similar; I’ve had some right old rubbish from M&S.
Their pizza is gross!😢❤
We like Lidls more authentic German products.
I don’t trust news channels, but there were no better options to click
LIDL badly letting down its English customers. Promotes Scottish and Welsh products in these regions but NOTHING for England. Poor!
Lidl
The fresh bread sold by Lidle is great quality for the price.
It's pronounced Leeedul Brits,
Aldi has left Dk, lol, not a very big loss to anyone!!! 😂😂😂
Interesting how LIDL promotes Scottish identity using its flag and makes an effort to source Scottish foods but for its English stores, NOTHING! No effort to source from England!
Two low budget stores
I never thought I would say this but Marks and Spencer's is now cheaper than going to any of other stores 2022
What are you on about M&S foodhall is far more expensive then Aldi,Lidl,Tesco extc and is more then Waitrose.
Butter is cheaper in M&S than Aldi!
@@matthewsmith2787 the odd thing is cheaper yes of M&S own brands but overall it's alot more expensive.
Aldi and Lidl buy end of line stock. That’s why the tomatoes and green beans are inevitably mouldy.
Most Aldi products are sub standard - wish I could avoid them!
Aldi prices are no longer the cheapest.....
Asda was cheaper than Aldi
I will continue to stick with Walmart for the most part....only certain things I will grab from aldi.
ill stick to erewhon
Tesco have better quality than aldi.
But Aldi is better in prices
@@NinjaDrawzArt I agree 👍
Both Aldi & Lidl adverts r outrageous claims, who’s being payed off!? I’ve been in both recently 2c what all the positive advertising & fuss is all about!? All i was greeted with is nonsense products, i mean they didn’t have half i wanted on my shopping list (even basic products) & low quality fake brands that were apparently like4like!? Ffs complete again nonsense & very false advertising in some ways. I actually think both Aldi & Lidl are inferior if anything..
What r they doing- buying their awards
you didn't get their concept I guess...which is actually working worldwide
@@nightwish1000 yeah but most of it is LIES, false advertising. Hideous shops
@@nicholasporter1417 hardly, otherwise they wouldn't have such a customers trust with no-brand Products...
@@nightwish1000 so they say. I’ve tried some of these non brands jus 4a laugh & they r horrendous
Aldi is actually getting more expensive and their quality is average at best for most items.
Stop Aldi from selling almost out of date food for the normal retail price. I know it`s a fact that the staff under priviledge customers. Same applies to Iceland too!
Nonsense. Both Lidl’s & Aldi’s r rubbish to shop & i genuinely have no idea how they win so meny awards!? Even the price matching is kinda dishonest. I wouldn’t b found dead in there
They are selling substandard food and drink, which has poor taste. It’s not even that cheap now
@@matthewsmith2787 I have bought the odd thing from there once in a blue moon & agreed the quality is awful. Their price match is nonsense cause it’s all naff products
What you’ve got to understand Aldi and LIDL are totally scanky
Most of their products r SECOND RATE....I DO SHOP THERE FROM TIME 2 TIME...
buy using cheap old meat, manky old vegetables and poor quality chemicals in all their products. Imagine the lives of the animals they use for there meat when you consider they STILL make a profit?!! Revolting.
