      @@rara4 In Poland He's huge but overall everybody sees Firouzja as a star now and Duda is more of a black horse (as Magnus said in interview for example). But great to see u guys thinking otherwise, It makes me happy.

    That tie-breaking method is terrible. There is a clear advantage to playing with white. C'mon FIDE! Have them play pairs of games. They only last 10 minutes anyway.

      MVL had white first in sudden death because he had the better tie-break before the playoffs. Duda is actually lucky that he even got to play a playoff, because in many tournaments MVL would have been declared the winner purely based on tie-break (look at the Grand Swiss for example: no playoffs).

      I think it is fair. Maxime had better "buholc". He gained points with better players, so he deserved that.
