There are many varieties of deers, the whitetail being one. Also reindeer have antlers on their heads. Look up the different varieties of deers. Calling it reindeer is like calling a chicken a turkey, they're birds.
A known introduction of the white tailed deer to Jamaica was when deer escaped from local tourist attraction Somerset Falls during Hurricane Gilbert in 1988. During the hurricane, 6 deer escaped from Somerset Falls in Portland and went into the wild.
