One of the biggest complaints I heard then around the garages at Riverside about the 2J was that it picked up and blew all sorts of sand and gravel back at other racers. Yes, I was there. Porsche did something similar but in a different class. I'm not a car guy but more motorcycles. So I don't know car racing. I believe it was in the 1970s.

Not new at the time. Jim Hall created first in one of his Chaparral's race cars. His car was banned as well.
