Thus it may have been specifically imported for this event. It was at the show where Mum and Dad saw it and decided it was to be their car.
A beautiful car. And an amazing job bringing it back. I'm working on a red 2400 at the moment so well aware of the complexities. Also about to buy back my 2200 which I sold 10 years ago. You have done a great job.

Spent long hour rides in the back of this car as a kid while my dad enjoyed himself racing on German highways. The electronics initially often went mad due to bad contacts but it felt like floating through the landscape. Never had the pleasure to drive it as it made deep contact with an enemy car one fatal Friday in 78.
@@hardysorensen2161 unfortunately my dad had to go full into the brakes at 120 kmh because an elderly driver crossed the express road wirhout checking. My grandma was sitting in the back and during the crash her glassed were completely shattered after flying against the front window. After the crash, the police congratulated my dad with such stable braking marks on the road. The great suspension had probably saved their lives. The car was a totall loss. No one got seriously hurt.

the car is in remarkable good condition for it's age . LHM leaks are a real nuisance, Losing brakes while driving is no fun at all, I had that happen on me in a BX once... Great choice of music btw 👍
I had a 1985 BX 1.9GT (bought at 2 years old). One of the many cool cars I bought used and sold then wished I'd kept. Brakes were never a problem but it wasn't a high miles car.
Thanks for the comment. I was lucky to find the white rims as they’re in short supply. Would like to have the next model’s wheels but they are also hard to find.

It sure is a special occasion every few days when I raise the old frog and let it float along the bumpy roads and enjoy the special feeling as you get. Thanks again 👍

But wait they do return. I'm buying back my green 2200 this coming weekend. I sold it 10 years ago. Same fellow I sold it to. He has done a marvellous job of upkeep.
Thanks for your reply and I think it’s a standard colour. This one was sold at the 1979 Sydney car display at the rotating platform. The first owner Fred bought it for his wife and I bought it from their daughter as a one owner. Lucky me.

I well remember riding around Glasgow in my friend P---'s -- it was a left-hand drive model as a matter of fact. also, this was a fine video

Great work. A green tree frog taking refuge in a green Citroen is very appropriate.
I am checking on the frog every day, but it hasn’t arrived back again after I parked it in a different spot, but it’s now back in the old carport.
We named him Fred. In remembrance of the first long time owner.

Always a Citroen fan here ..but i don't ever remember seeing that colour on an AU sold car.
