Liana you 100% had a gallbladder attack. I got 5 attacks in the first 6 months of having my daughter before having it removed. They lasted about 6 hours each, except the last one was a few days, resulting in me getting a scope procedure to fix that and then later got surgery to remove it after. The pain you were in and how you acted is exactly how I did too except you kept your calm a lot better lol. Getting a scope procedure can clear it out and kind of reset any build up of sludge or get rid of any stones that may be. I highly recommend that and I wish you the best! Eat low fat foods and stay strong if it happens again. Keep us updated!

Please get your gallbladder checked. Because the way it suddenly went away is exactly how gallbladder acts. The fact they shrugged it off as reflux is not right. I have chronic reflux and they are not that bad. The thing is once you start having gallbladder issues you are prone to it again. Also woman who have had children are even more prone to it and it can be dangerous if you are pregnant. They removed mine fast because hubby and I were trying for a baby and they didn’t want to risk possible complications. Not trying to scare you but please follow up on this because I would hate for you to suffer again. 💖💖💖 sending love.

This!!! I just had mine removed because I had one attack that was making me vomit due to the pain.
I had an ultrasound at the hospital that night, and I had so many little tiny stones. Obviously I would’ve had an emergency surgery if needed, but it was booked too much later and I just got it done (well 28/12/23).
      Hope she is ok ❤.

@@KayBX I went to emergency back in May 2022 with bad pain. I had eaten lunch and like a hour later my tummy felt off. I thought maybe I needed to poop but that wasn’t it. I tried to lay down and nap hoping it would pass but then it just got worse, I was throwing up and couldn’t hardly stand straight or even move without pain. My husband came home from work after I had told him I wasn’t well and after my mum told me to go to the hospital he drove me. Because it’s technically pain near the chest area they treated me like I could possibly be having a heart attack. After strong pain medication and tests they said my gallbladder was inflamed but they couldn’t see the stone so they think it could have passed but I was still in a bit of pain so they decided to keep me in overnight and decided in the morning. The doctors talked and since we were trying for a baby they decided it was better to get it out sooner rather then later so 2 days later I had the surgery and I was home the next day. We are about to start IVF this year so I’m glade this is something I don’t have to worry about now because my cousins wife had really bad gallbladder issues when she was pregnant and it made her go into labor early. Their baby was born a bit to early and had complications and she spent weeks in hospital. Took another 6 months after that for the hospital near her to finally give her the surgery to remove her gallbladder. If Liana and Connor are planning for baby number 2 then I would highly suggest she get it checked out and possibly removed before they try for another baby. We actually don’t really need the gallbladder so it’s not to bad having it out.

Liana, many women have issues with their gallbladder after having a baby. It’s common. Gallbladder pain is very uncomfortable. The fact you are having pain in your back as well could also be kidney stones. Pain isn’t a normal thing, it’s good to have it checked. Reflux doesn’t tend to present in the way you are describing. While uncomfortable, it isn’t sharp stabbing type pains. Reflux can be helped by ensuring you eat no less than 2 hrs before bedtime. Also sleep at a 60 degree angle as gravity helps keep food down so there isn’t a risk of aspiration (inhaling your stomach contents) and possible pneumonia. By the way, your new home is lovely and such a wonderful place to start the new year.

If you have gallstones you need to avoid all fat in your diet. My Mum had this when I was a child. She was told the scan showed a golf ball sized stone. She went on a total fat free diet while waiting for her operation. She lost quite a bit of weight with it, but the pain was reduced from not having the fats.
Anyway by the time my Mum had the op, they removed the gallbladder, and no stones were found. The doctor could only assume that the diet was so good the stone broke down and passed. I think after all that time my Mum was actually disappointed to have nothing to show for all her pain!
So anyway, if you have a gallstone then go on a total fat free diet!

As others have commented, I'd really look into getting your gallbladder checked. Both my mom and I have had ours removed. My mom's was really bad where in the ultrasound they didn't see stones but saw it needed to go. During the surgery they almost weren't able to get it out without fully opening her up because of how bad it was and turned out she was actually full of gallbladder stones but the sludge inside it was so thick they couldn't see the stones before going in. As someone who battles chronic illness and pain and took years to get answers for my health issues, keep fighting for answers because nobody knows your body better than you. Sending you love. ❤

another gallbladder person here! had my gallbladder removed 2 weeks ago after over 6 months of that upper abdominal pain coming and going, usually after eating fat (mostly dairy), lasting minutes to days at a time. the pain is very similar to contractions apparently. my doctor misdiagnosed it as reflux in the beginning, and a few months later i ended up in the er. for your peace of mind i recommend getting an upper abdominal ultrasound (at a reputable place, my gallstones went undetected in my first ultrasound). i cannot understate how much having my gallbladder removed changed my life after living with that horrible pain and sickness (my gallstones also messed w my pancreas and liver as well, so could explain other symptoms u might have. i had really low blood sugar and my skin turned yellow). also fyi gallstones aren’t an “old people thing” like some people think, my symptoms first started as a normal, healthy 16 year old. also the pain isn’t always on the right side where your gallbladder is, mine was under the ribs all the way around, also in my shoulders and back.
just thought i’d share my experience in case it helps anyone out there that might relate, because catching it earlier would have saved me so much pain. get well soon and sending love from australia ❤️❤️

Not a doctor… but I would keep in mind if this happens again to go get checked out by a different provider. I had the exact same symptoms as you, went to the ER, was dismissed and told it was probably just general stomach upset and that they could give me pain meds. A few days go by and it comes back again, so I head back to the ER, but that time I saw a different doctor who actually listened to me and brought in an ultrasound. They found out my gallbladder was full of some nastiness so then they sent me to get more imaging done and eventually removed my gallbladder. It may not be gallbladder related but I think we really have to fight for some doctors to take our pain seriously. Don’t hesitate to advocate for yourself!

  • @judogirl95
    @judogirl95 Před 6 měsíci +6

Please get scanned for gallstones! I had non-typical gallstone pain like you described. Sharp stabbing pain right below ur ribs in the center. It only felt better bent over and would pass. Sometimes under an hour, sometimes a bit longer. To make matters worse, I was pregnant, so no one really looked further than 'pregnancy complications' or 'gas/stomach acid' or 'just a muscle spasm, drink water'. 2 years later, I got pancreatitis and was hospitalized for 3 days. They measured some protein or whatever that the pancreas produces. Healthy range is in the 10's. I was in the 1500+. Thats when they found it was small gallstones. Three months later and I had the gallbladder surgically removed and no more pain since then. I could never figure out what my food triggers were, which made it even more difficult to identify as gallstones. It felt like it happened randomly and at different intervals.
My sister had a singular large stone, and she had specific food triggers and felt it in the spot where the gallbladder is. So she was diagnosed immediately with gallstones. Also had hers removed and got to keep her stone. Lucky bastard.
So if it happens again, push for a scan for gallstones!

  • @myperfectbooks

I will echo what others have said and tell you to do a scan of your gallbladder, I spent almost 2 years with the pain, I could only feel better by throwing up when I felt that pain. I cried the day I was diagnosed, I was in the hospital once again because of the pain and this young doctor examined me and diagnosed me after so many doctors looked at me like I was crazy, I had the same symptoms, I could barely breathe let alone walk. Get your gallbladder check please you can never be too careful

  • @ch007eh7

Hello, First Aid Instructor here! 👋🏻
An *appendicitis* can cause many symptoms like a sharp pain that can come and go in waves. It's also possible that the pain is gone all of the sudden, which is an absolute emergency because that can mean that your appendix ruptured.
Other symptoms may be fever, nausea or even vomiting.
Good ways to *recognise an appendicitis:*
    • The pain is on your right side.
    • Psoas sign: Sit down on a chair with both feet flat on the ground. Then let someone slightly push down your right knee/leg. If the pain gets worse when you try to lift it, it could be a sign that it is an appendicitis.
    • A more secure way is to feel/push where the pain is. When the pain is worse letting go than pushing in, chances are high that it is an appendicitis. Rebound tenderness is rare compared to other kinds of pain.
_Ultimately, only medical professionals can actually diagnose and treat._
    Hope that helps though 😇.

Don't take ibuprofen or NSAIDs when you have stomach pain. Also don't eat or drink while you're having stomach issues like this. It could make it a lot worse depending on what your problem is. That's not acid reflux.. doctors seem to forget that women can deal with pain, and when you're in that much pain something is wrong.. they told my mom the same thing... She actually had peritonitis and she almost died because they misdiagnosed her. Her stomach had actually ruptured and was leaking acid into her abdominal cavity, it was agonizingly painful and they actually sent her home too..

I couldn’t stand up, staying crouched over applying pressure was the only way to get some form of a relief. I had to push the doctors for an endoscopy and finally got one. I stopped taking oral ibuprofen and have to be careful with the amount of alcohol, dairy and spicy food I have. Omeprazole (which is an antiacid) is what I have to take every time I get a flare up. • @gabeangel8104
    @gabeangel8104 Před 6 měsíci +6

A lot of people are commenting the pain seems like gallstones. I've heard a lot of people say they were dismissed as it being 'just trapped gass' or reflux or something. I was lucky that I was able to give the info when mine flared up badly that I had been told I had gallstones when I had a scan for other issues about a year previously.
I had been having flare ups for a long time that always passed but this time it wasn't passing. Due to being a stubborn sod and having past medical trauma I waited for 3 days in too much pain and nausea to eat or drink, and when my partner eventually convinced me to let her phone 111 they almost immediately said they were sending an ambulance and ended up having my gallbladder out. Apparently it had definitely not been a good thing waiting so long 😂
Ask your GP for a scan for a gallbladder and if this happens again keep note of if you have eaten oily or greasy foods in the most recent meal (even if it was he night before) because that can trigger flare ups

I suffer with both IBS and Acid reflux and when I have flare ups it really hurts all around feeling as if someone has put lots of rubber bands around my abdomen and it feels like it will never end. I hope you don’t have it going on more than this spout. If you have those kinds of issues pop up again deffo go to a specialist to make sure it isn’t anything worse.

Just had my gallbladder removed even though the surgeon said he wasn’t positive it was going to stop the pain and my blood tests didn’t show anything out of the ordinary. I was given 80% that was the problem. I was put on a liquid diet for 6 weeks. I finally took an ambulance to the ER when I began vomiting. Anyway they took my gallbladder out when I begged the Dr. After the surgery he told me it was the problem 100%‼️ The CT showed it was enlarged and distended and had attached itself to my stomach. It was full of yuck but nothing seeped out. It was removed at 7:30 am and discharged by 4:30 that afternoon. So I’m home recuperating. Thank goodness that’s all over with❤️‼️❤️

Get your gallbladder checked! I had severe gallstones to the point that it was obstructing my liver, the hospital gave Me medication that helped dissolve them. I still get gallstones but no where near as bad as that first one, what you were describing is exactly what I feel everytime I get a gallstone, if it's your gallbladder you don't necessarily need to have surgery, a high fiber diet helps alot and buscopan helps dissolve the stones and ease the pain a bit. Also peppermint and fennel probiotic tea helps as well ❤

27:15 Liana it could possibly be gastritis. I had this a couple of months ago and it hurt like hell when standing up and it would last for so long. I would always try to endure but it got to the point pain was so bad I rolled around my bed and had to go the emergency room. The pain would come in waves and especially right after I eat something.I’m fine now but I hope u feel better Liana and I pray for all of you to have an amazing future that is full of adventures and hopefully less illnesses. ❤ Just watched the rest of the video and I’m so glad you’re feeling better😊

Liana's illness- I had similar to this after giving birth, it's happened about 5 times now, had an ultrasound and its gallstones. Its often caused by pregnancy and most go unnoticed but the odd unlucky people get flare ups. I find paracetamol and being sick can get rid of symptoms most of the time. It does go away itself eventually tho. Will likely need gallbladder to be removed

  • @roisinhart
    @roisinhart Před 6 měsíci +7

Just want to say Liana, see if you can get your gallbladder/pancreas checked. I learned the hard way last summer that women our age after having kids have a higher risk of pancreatitis and gallstones. It feels like contractions but too high, like theres trapped wind. It got to the point I couldn't eat anything without getting the pain, and then the final straw was the pain never left one day and i started uncontrollably vomiting. They usually check through blood tests to see if your kidney and liver are over producing enzymes to counter the blockage in your gallbladder. Im sure you get a ton of medical "advice" on the Internet so you can take this with a grain of salt. But speaking from experience, your symptoms were very similar to mine.

I had my daughter nearly 6 years ago and while I was pregnant I got a hiatus hernia, which isn’t bad enough to operate on yet. I’ve also suffered since with extreme pain when I get episodes of reflux, as well as issues with my gallbladder, sometimes they play up at the same time and I can’t get out of bed. Ooh the joys of pregnancy haha, but I had a healthy baby and she is growing into a gorgeous little lady. Hope you get it all sorted and know what causes it ❤❤

I hope everything gets better, but what your feeling sounds like its your gallbladder, you might need to get it checked out for anything in the gallbladder (stones or slug) they both can cause painful episodes that are gallbladder attacks that can last an hour or a couple of minutes, i had mine checked out because of the symptoms you are feeling and turns out it was my gallbladder. It's not something fun to go though so i hope you can find the answers to why you are in pain because truthfully no one should have to go though pain, i hope everything gets better! If you're feeling pain in your back it could be a kidney stone too! But it's best to get checked out

😔 I feel your guys pain. I moved 3 times in 10 months when I first got with my partner in 2022, id moved to a new area, the house was completely in ruin (they’d hid a lot of the problems before moving, and repairs they said they were going to fix they didn’t) so after 3 month moved out, in that time me and my partner found out we were pregnant and i moved in with him from that god awful run down house, but he only had a flat, so while we searched for a house together to move into we stayed at his flat (I had to move most from my house into storage and the stuff i needed into his flat, then 2 weeks before i was due to give birth we got the keys for our forever home, had to move everything in 24hours + get all of the stuff from storage and figure out a place for it all + do babies nursery and decorate my eldest sons room all before our sons arrival 😮‍💨 needless to say our relationship is incredibly strong 😂 3 moves + pregnant and hormonal 😮‍💨 at 18 month down the line now 🙂 xx

The spot you are indicating and the contraction like pain which went away sounds just like gallstones. If it happens again I would ask for a CT scan. I had a few attacks and eventually had the gallbladder removed. Would be interesting to know if this is a ‘thing’ in your family. Often genetic. I’m the 4th generation of females in my family to have it.

I had a scan and they could see some stones in my gallbladder and I'm have an operation to have my gallbladder out, but on a waiting list, I've heard from a few people that it can hurt worse than childbirth, I can confirm that I thought I was having a heart attack and ended up on an antibiotic drip. Hi! Another gallbladder person here. I went 5 years undiagnosed with gallstones and had just about every symptom imaginable. Few quick things:
    1. Ultrasound not a CT scan. Gallstones don't show up on CT scans.
    2. If the pain goes away that just means you passed the stone or its no longer stuck in the ducts.
    3. Listen to people describe in more detail what severe acid reflux feels like if you've never had it. I had an ER doctor send me home with the same diagnosis. But acid reflux and gallstones do feel *very* different - they can sound similar when described vaguely though.
Good luck and I hope you feel better!!

It sounds like a goldstone attack this is what Iv had since I got pregnant weirdly and I started with one every odd time then started getting them regularly definitely get them checked out because I got one goldstone stuck in my byduct tube (or what ever it’s called 😅) for nearly a week I had that pain before hospital realised it was causing a lot of trouble with my liver I went really jaundice and week couldn’t eat could barely walk and was spewing up anything I tried too get down even water! It may seem durable at first but it can cause some damage and progress sooner rather than later! Please don’t be scared because it is curable and you will eventually be fine with surgery I’m getting my goldbladder removed within the next few days thankfully! It’s affected me mostly because I felt as though I was failing with my daughter because when I had these attacks I wasn’t able too look after my daughter the way I normally do but thankfully she she will soon have mummy better! For nearly a week i endured the pain and stayed home because I wanted to be with my daughter but the best option for you and your child is too make sure your healthy for them! I learned the hard way 😅 I hope you get it sorted soon please get your gold bladder checked out! Much love too you both and your beautiful boy! 29:10 💖💙

you should get your gallbladder checked. I had very similar pains and I went to the ER and at first they checked my heart and they said it was anxiety and sent me on my way. I went a couple days all fine and then I felt it coming on again and took myself to the ER again, they did an ultrasound of my gallbladder and found it was full of stones. But definitely get it checked. I was 20 when I got my gallbladder out. I hope it's nothing and you get to feeling better!

I had Pancreatitis from gallstones because I had Gallbladder disease caused by having an autoimmune disease (unknowingly), Crohns colitis disease. I have great hindsight about it but then I was thinking that I just severe heartburn that occasionally made me vomit after making me starve for a few days to a week...like I would feel physically ill if I smelled or tasted food when I was having those bouts of pancreatitis (they last 2, 5, 2, and 3 days each time that year) where I was 'passing' a gallstone. Also, they NEVER consider gallbladder disease life-threatening unless you have a seriously bad issue with pancreatitis after 3-4 days. Pancreatitis can (rarely, but it can) kill you. It happens more often than being hit by lightning but less common than heart attacks.

Gall bladder is probably the cause of that pain. Also very commonly misdiagnosed as severe acid/reflux. Deffo go to GP and ask for ultrasound. The pain is one of the most severe pains apparently. My wife currently is waiting for her op to have gall bladder out and she describes the pain exactly the same.
Also, this is kind of random. Are you hypermobile? If so, worth looking up stuff like ehlers-danloss. Connective tissue disorders can cause a whole load of different weird problems in the body, they are associated with asthma exczma and other allergies, and ADHD. Deffo worth considering.
Koazy’s cheeks could be an allergy, like eggs or dairy. More food than something like cats, but if you have eczema and Connor has asthma then allergy v likely.

I would recommend a Montessori bed frame for Kozy. They are low to the ground. You don't want go put him on a mattress directly on the floor. He'll have more exposure to dust and it's earlier for bugs and spiders to get in his bed. It's also possible for mold to grow on his bed if there's no air flow between the floor and mattress. Plus if he has a little more of a frame he will stay in his bed,. I've seen people try to pass a matress on the floor as montessori and that not correct. Their kids are always making their was onto the floor and waking up in wierd positions, on the floor and uncovered. My nephew had a sheet set that his comforter attached to, with a zipper. It was great for a wiggly little man

If that pain ever comes back and it moves up on the right side, it could be your gallbladder. I thought I was just having bad heartburn, but it was that stabbing pain just under your ribs. WTF UK! Im a surgical PA and it definitely sounds like a gallbladder attack. She had severe epigastric pain that was self limiting . If they didn’t do at least labs and an ultrasound they should be sued . These symptoms generally come and go and progressive become more frequent and more painful with time. If she has gallstones it can lead to pancreatitis or worse injury to the common bile duct/liver. At the very least even if they don’t do surgery, she is aware of the diagnosis, observe her future symptoms and knows when her symptoms are emergent vs blowing them off because she thinks it’s reflux.

It could be your gallbladder, pregnancy causes gallstones to form (even after pregnancy) more and they block the ducts and it feels worse to me than my contractions. Its a super simple procedure, i cried like an absolute baby about it but it was over before i knew it. It could be deffered pain from where your gallbladder really is.

I wonder if you got kidney stones, or ovarian cysts. When you're passing a stone the pain will come in waves like contractions and if you passed the stone on your own, or if it's moved down the pain may even go away completely until it decides to try and pass or move down again. A cyst rupturing will hurt really badly for a bit and will go away on it's own like you explained. You may also experience some nausea, feeling feverish, or sweating with both. If you get a pain around your belly button that moves to the lower ride side, that may or may not be accompanied with nausea and vomiting, and a high fever please go to the emergency room as it may be your appendix. When your appendix is at risk for rupturing it may feel like the worst gas you've ever had. I actually had stones in my appendix, and experienced pain similar to what you experienced off and on for a few months before mine ruptured from the stones. It may also be your gallbladder. Attacks can be brought on by eating greasy, fatty foods. Im just a nurse, and can't really offer you medical advice per say, but these are things I would start with ruling out if I was you, because in my almost 14 years of nursing I've never seen acid reflux or gas cause that much pain! 😢 I really don't like how they blew you off!

You should do a pregnancy test even if you are 100 percent sure
It could be an ectopic pregnancy
Or either a kidney stone that passed
Or a gallbladder stone that also passed
So an ultra sound would be good for a follow up
Even if the pain is gone it's better to follow up because of the severity of it

Oh dear, everyone sure went through the wringer. I hope you all are feeling better now. Liana, I hope if you ever have that pain again, insist on further tests like an ultrasound or CT scan. I'm booked for a CT scan in August for moderate kidney failure; our hospital is still booking from 2022 referrals!
I had a lovely Christmas with my Sister and family and drove 3 hours home on December 30th so I could spend New Years Eve with a good friend. I woke up at 3am feeling like I was hit by a truck. By the afternoon I decided to get tested for COVID and I was positive. I've had it for 2 weeks now and my apartment is a disaster as I didn't get my suitcases unpacked and I have all my gifts in big bags all over my bedroom and kitchen entrance. So, no New Year's celebration. My friend left food and sherry outside my door which was so kind.
Happy Belated Christmas and New Years to you all. I hope 2024 is a much kinder year for you all
