So proud of my Uncle Lee and the girls for their amazing creation. So surreal to see them reach some heights of stardom and for the car to be turned into a Hot Wheels model, I know Lee still can’t believe it either! Can’t wait to get my hands on several models! You guys should do a cheap car challenge and race in a class called sportsman ET. Your allowed any car that runs slower than 12s, its bracket racing meaning you give a time in and have to run as close to that time as possible
Some sort of CCC involving racing would be cool.

Love it, guys a character and doing 10sec quarters is no joke (seeing they have now hit the 9's) I love that he has his girls involved and they are all just out there having fun and spending time together, it's great.

My dad - Lee Johnstone the guy in the video is 72 this year! So yep a socks and sandals kind of guy!! Ha ha lol
As a Swede, you might think I would find making a gasser out of a Volvo P1800 to be more than a little blasphemous - but I could not approve more! I always felt the regular P1800 was the most "beige" of all supposed-to-be sports cars, a car for people who turned mentally 80+ the on their 30th birthday. It needs all the extra oomph it can get - well done Lee for making it actually cool!

I have seen this car in images from time to time and off cause as that die cast. but I have always been a bit sceptical of it cause I own an 1800 and absolutely love the cars by all my heart so seeing one modified like this just made me hope that it wasn't a nice example that was chopped up to make this one.
but now, after seeing the before photo will I say that I absolutely love this build. he brought one back to life with his own take on it and I love that!

I found a few of the hot wheels of this car, and its so cool to have in the collection, definitely a good winner. Even though this model of car wasnt used in the era of gassers being made, like the bel airs, novas, willys, it fits so well and seems like it did have its place in the NHRA looking back in the videos from the 60s.

As a P1800 estate owner I should be horrified, but that thing is f..king Boss, it's awesome, Rj in Oz
Have the diecast hanging on my wall, thing of beauty and the gasser style are rather quick on the booster tracks as well if they don't flip off being top heavy, the bronze Mad Mouse 62 corvette gasser was suprisingly fast on track as well.
The Tiller is on the wrong side. But the Volvo Fish is absolutely AMAZING 👍🏻

Edit: I have a hot wheels buying addiction, specifically for the Volvos. Every time I spot them in the store (usually the gasser) I HAVE to get them and give them to some of my family and friends who are also volvo fans

A Car Throttle Challenge:
Each presenter buys a classic British car (40 years plus?) for under 750 pounds and drive it from John-O-Groats to Lizard point via Ardnamurchan Lighthouse and Ness Point, only using B roads.
Challenges along the way. Least number of breakdowns wins.
I wrote this, then the very next video I watched on this channel was the start of the John-o-groats to lizard point series.
