Big fan of his "cute noises". They are almost as fabulous as the macaw ones :3
We lost our 29-year old Indian ringneck last year and we miss his lil voice and noises :) someone once said they have the sweetest voices and I have to agree. Touché is an angel 🐥
@@dovebby do you recommend an Indian ring neck I’m thinking on getting a bird but idk what to get I’m currently doing researches
@@Reemalfouzan222 I have 2 ringnecks and 4 budgies they need a lotta attention, will scream and will bite unfortunately I made mistakes as they were my first birds and now they permanently hate me
Him trying to figure out which noises are cute is so darn precious.
Touché was meant to have you as his trainer and I love that he had Lefty as his pal. Knowing you were grieving during these and taking care of of two little girls is a huge testament to your character 💕
Love he's soft meows songs
daughter: I'm gonna look for more stuff!
mom: no its ok we have enough.
daughter walks away to go get more stuff lol
every kid ever🤣😂
you know your addicted to birdtricks when your watching a birdtricks video as there new on comes out
Such a good and patient teacher, he seemed to catch on pretty fast, and I like the cute sound you taught him for his inside voice. Thanks for the upload.
Capri with her pizza 😭🖤 I love when she gives her training advice!! So smart and confident. 🖤
I don't understand why his previous owner didn't want him, he's gorgeous & cute!
Birds are work. Circumstances of ownership change. Thank goodness there are rescue agencies.
People just assume they can keep a pretty bird in its cage, and feed them seeds and they’ll be fine. It’s not until you actually own one that you experience just how much work and TLC goes into taking care of these gorgeous babies! I can just hear it..”Oh, he wouldn’t talk for me.” Or “He bit my hand every time I put it near!” Or whatever the previous owner didn’t expect from him, and didn’t want to put the time into fixing the issue. Of course I don’t know the real reason he was given up, but it’s usually reasons like that. Like giving bunnies to kids on Easter or black kittens on Halloween. Or having a baby on New Years Eve. (KIDDING, of course! 😆) whatever the reason, it was their loss. Touché is SO beautiful, cute and special!
@@kookoothebirdgirl1 I hate people like that. I researched everything before getting my budgie, and she once drew blood. I still didn't back out. (FYI she drew blood because she was sitting on something and she still wasn't tamed yet, she fell and my hand was really near so she grabbed my hand with her beak)
An idiot
@dot12347 have bee learning & reading up for a month, I am determined to do it right.
Every time she’s training a new bird I think “I want that bird!”
The look of confidence in his eyes when he mastered his fear is beautiful. I’ve seen it in my own Indian ringneck when he Learns a new trick. They’re such delightful and beautiful little friends…
I retrained my ringneck’s alarm call and taught him to whisper as well lol 💞
How did you train her for low voices , my ring neck is toooo loud.
Love it when he yeets the glasses 🤣
Just love him. Super adorable
Seeing this training works so well is just amazing!
Greetings from germany!
In the parks here are living a few flocks of indian ringnecks, so i hear their cute (and not so cute) voices every morning.
Great video. I loved training for soft noises. It was amazing how quickly he got over his fear of the pink eyeglasses!
I love Touche and you, Jaime. You are very patient and he is so pretty and adorable.
I'll be bringing home my baby Indian ringneck later today, after more than 6 months of research, preparing and waiting. Your videos have been immensely helpful and a big part of making sure I'm as ready as possible, thank you so much for all of the information and experience you've shared! Also bought him one of your small bird toy boxes, hoping he has fun destroying them all.
Good luck. They are amazing
Amazing he was so scared at the start and now he is like I'm the boss of you glasses
They're so cute! Go both of you!
Smart lil guy.
Totally love your videos! They've been so helpful. Thank you. Mark
I love IRNs. Owning one has been on my sort of "wish-list" for a long time, but circumstances in my life simply haven't allowed it, at least not yet. Just adorable birds and I love them in their natural green hue.
Hello! What do you use for treats?
Healed by the cute voice🥰
I had to do something similar with one of my budgies recently; I got a new bracelet (naturally-dyed wooden beads, in case little beaks got to it!) and Nyx was terrified of the scary thing on my wrist, so avoided my left hand any time he saw it. Similar to how you handled it with Touché, I started using my left hand more in their training- the desire for millet eventually won out and he'd land on the very end of my finger! Then it was just a case of asking him to move closer and closer, until he would even sit ON the bracelet. Working through things like that with birds is SO rewarding.
Great video! Having 4 IRN Parrots this really helps 💕😘💕
I enjoy watching you train the birds. I must say the birdie food you make looks like it would be yummy on a salad.
Oh, so sweet!
That food looked good enough for me to eat. Why didn't his guardian want him. He's a lovely little bird. He just needed time and alot of love and attention.
He is sooo cute
I wonder if it’s a Ringneck thing, my Ricco loves brussel sprouts lol.
DO YOU SELL THE FOOD YOU MAKE FOR YOUR BIRDS?
I would love to buy some for my African grey and umbrella cockatoo
Amazing!
So cool
Having a fun summer huh?
Belu(my Indian ringneck) and i are to!
i just brought home a baby cockatiel on tuesday, and she isn't eating much. i have gotten her to eat a few pellets which she was weaned on and a couple seeds. i know when birds come to new homes they usually don't eat the first day or two, and she is my first bird i have gotten as a baby. will she start eating eventually? is there anything i can do to encourage her to eat?
No it’s hard. but maybe give him some seeds because it’s easier for them to eat and then you can start to reduce the amount of seeds and more pellets. 😊
+ I had the same problem and it worked perfectly 🤩
Make sure the food is fresh, no bugs or webs. Cockatiels love veggies and fresh fruit. Be sure to chop in different sizes to see what size they like best. Birds are sociable and like to eat with the flock. Put Birdy in the cage and eat near him/her. Don't let them eat your food. It maybe cute but it can lead to alot of problems, even death. Study up on them. I loved my 'teils.
@@skyttescheibel5476 thank you, i did that and it worked like a charm!
@@tshaffer9681 thank you! having her eat near my other cockatiel helped!
Such a good boy! Did Touché get adopted out?
You were just taking a few of Capris toys, she found out and suddenly toys are everywhere lol
Being an Indian, I love Indian ringnecks a lot.............
My bird is an alarm clock too 😅😅🔔🥴⏰🦜
Thanks for sharing your training tips!
At what point do you phase out the treats for his little mew so that he just does it without expecting a treat every time? Love your videos
In his off time, while not training, he will probably do his mew but won't recieve a treat. I guess eventually, when he does it enough during his off time, she will stop training with that part and he will automatically do it as part of his "vocabulary". Don't go out of your way durring bird's off times to give them treats for the thing you are training them to do. When you stop training, reward every once in a while to make sure it sticks with the bird.
I use this method with my birds including the one as my profile picture. Taught my bird a few different chirps and rewarded verbally throughout the day because they know the verbal reward. I use the verbal reward when they are in their cage so they don't associate that chirp with coming out of their cage. We have a different one for that.
Rascals favorite vegetable is Brussel sprouts!
Animals are Brilliant when it comes to food..... Being scared initially of a object is a sign of intelligence
My Bird Is scared of everything, but when he gets the braveness to check It out
He immediately starts to play
Just got my ring neck it’s not tame and it’s not all that wild but his wing clip but he let me touch his heads whenever
Why do some parrots have the most unreasonable fears?
For example: A Cockatiel is ok with it's owner vacuuming around it's cage, but once the owner wears a new set of pants, it's a 50/50 chance for the Cockatiel to go berserk.
Hey! Does anyone have experience with Alexandrine Parakeets? What are they like? Are they cuddly?
I’m getting a sun conure should I get an A Or a B sun conur e
Thank you
hey! may I know what kin of treats you use? and what's the clicker for?
Hi just wondering is there a certain age if a indian ringneck was going to talk it would off done by I know not every bird talk as all differant but kinda wondering can older birds still learn to talk
And if there well looked after and become tame is that when there more likely to talk aswell
How well can Ringecks see color? If your stand is more colorful, will he be able to see it better?
Can you do a video on what feathers tell about your parrots Health
how did you teach it to get to or touch the stick mine just scared lol
Question! How do you get him to just be on the table. I'm trying to figure out why my IRN shoulder rushes instantly and won't come down!
I can see and lol doll
We’re do you get the stick
I have one two
I just got a 7 month old Lutino irn . I’ve only had him about 5 days and I know that’s not long enough to know much about his personality and I have experience with birds but this is my first irn. This bird has not made a sound. No kind of squeaking no whistling or anything lol. Could this just be because of his young age and possibly him needing to adjust to his new home? Or am I going to have the only mute irn in the world lol
I got 1 yr old ringneck parrot. Very scared & biting. Possible to tame this age?
Just got a new Ringneck last night. He isn't eating. He is super stressed. I'm not sure what to do. I left some apple and seed in his cage last night. Please help
I also have a indian red ringed bird. Tho its only 40 days old. So still a baby. My mother and i want to trim the ends of it's wing features so it cannot fully fly like a bird does. That's because we have fans on our ceilings. My sister says it'll be smart enough to not run straight into the fan but i have my doubts, someone i used to know who also kept parrots, one day accidentally left theur cage open, when parrot immediately flew into a running fan and his head got chopped off 😬. My question is would it be cruel to trim it's features just enough that it can't fly.
can you do the same tis for an African Grey? love your videos
Yes definitely! Thank you 💕
what do you give him for the reward?
What is the recipe for the food you make?
What do you feed as reward or treats? because i dont think he should be fed more than 20 sunflower seeds in a day
They look like safflower seeds.
I would like to get a bird, I would want a smallish one like an African grey or a cockatiel!
African Greys are a poor choice for... 99.99% of people. Some would say they're not suited to be captive pets at all (see the documentary Parrot Confessional and studies showing Greys have the highest rate of stress-induced self-mutilation of all captive parrot species). A cockatiel can be a very nice pet if you do plenty of research on the care and time they need, and get one from a small responsible breeder (there are some on birdbreeders.com, birdsnow.com), not a pet store or online broker, who often get their birds from bird mills.
I run a caravan park in South Australia and all the birds around the park are not scared of us at all. A young galah flew up to a guest the other day and landed on his shoulder. The guest bought it into the office. It instantly bonded with me. Now I have a pet galah. Always wanted a bird! Ps I’m here from Tyler Nolan’s crew! Can’t wait to start training it
Was it a wild galah?
You shouldn’t make a wild parrot your pet..
@@ShaynaFlowers we aren’t sure if it’s wild or not. We have been searching the local socials for someone who has lost a pet bird but nothing yet
@@ShaynaFlowers it doesn't sound wild at all if it bonded to a human immediately, sounds like a hand-reared bird that escaped
That feeling of I dropped it I do that all the time
Please help me calm my adult cockatoo ... It has been a year n he doesn't trust us yet...after his partner flew away he has been really sad n depressed please help me
I want to become a bird owner/parent do you have any suggestions? I have no former bird experience. Thank you.
I hope I could adopt the bird, but I am too far away.
Did you end up keeping him for you self
I feel like I have watched this like 5 weeks ago
Yeah we have an indian ringneck and the alarm call is super loud, my ears are ringing :) Time to train him!
Does he have to be hungry so I train my cockatiel?
Definitely dont starve your bird, just for training purposes.
@@MilosAdventure yeah definitely thx
No! Don't starve your bird. Just reserve their favorite treats for training sessions so that's the only time they get that special treat.
How much do you think the bird is doing it for food and how much for socialization... Now, I know they are not starving and that the reward is a treat but even so , is it That MUCH of a treat and doesn't he get tired of it... It's only a nut and I'm so sure These birds get fed as well as any Bird on Earth..
Well, it's a sunflower seed. Seeds and nuts usually have a higher content of fat, plus they just taste good, and their actual diet is comprised of healthy things like grains and vegetables, so it's natural they like to eat those things as a reward. Plus, he might like some things better than others, so the sunflower seed might be like the highest of the high treat. Lastly, the nuts and seeds are cut up into tiny pieces so he eats it quickly and can concentrate. Also if they used a whole walnut, say, then he'd only do one repetition and learn slower.
In an old video they say the parrots eat at noon or so and then at like 5 I think.
Just a question why did you take touché back?
Oh I think this is old footage
She doesn't have Touché back. She says near the beginning of the video that this is old footage from over a year ago.
Your videos make me wanna rescue birds or cats. Maybe cats. There arent any bird rescue here so im not sure if there is even birds in need
Usually if there are no bird rescues in the area there are more birds not being taken care of properly, where I live almost every day I see a new bird just stuck in a tiny cage, clipped and cage bound. Usually I tell those people that they're care is bad and 99 percent of the the me they say "well if you know so much about birds why don't you just take it" or " pfft it's my bird I can do what I want with it" and refuse to change, one day when I have enough for a good cage, toys, food and time I want to rescue a bird from one of those people
The biggest fear of my ringneck parrot is me and i want to over come that he's mew to the house i don't bully him okay please give me tips I never owned a parrot please give me tips
My budgie is very scary Also an I have no clue what to do she won’t even leave her cage
Isn’t that an alxendrine
not screching like a monkey though lol
I saw avocado and your chop and I just thought I’d let you know that that’s actually super toxic for birds
I have just take a glim of the video so im not sure what you mean. I'll bet She knows what She is DOING. Maybe these birds can eat it, or you did not look into it right
those are bell peppers
Well before getting one please research.
Wanna bet those pink glasses made him cringe? Watching Kiwi Tamara’s Chicken makes me say this. That bird HATES the color PINK. And, Tamara said 2 other Indian Rings she knows ALSO are repelled by anything pink.
I wonder if these birds 🐦 see some frequencies in the color spectrum we don’t, and they see it as an enemy? Interesting.
It's like you don't want him to talk and your training him not to. Why?
Can u explain to me, what the awful noise is in ur house , it’s constant and most annoying. It’s like constant traffic or a washing machine, or a dishwasher, want very much to watch ur videos, but the noise is so irritating. Thank u ♥️
Have been watching your channel for a couple of years now, love this channel, love you all, no criticism, absolutely nothing to complain about. However... warning - grammar police comment forthcoming: "guys"is already plural. "you guyses" is some kind of double pluralism that isn't part of the English language. Sorry I just can't help myself - have heard it too often here. I think it's probably a habit picked up from somewhere but you're too articulate and well spoken to let it slide into your vocabulary. Just a little constructive criticism, not motivated by any malice. Peace.
