Working on the railroad (Ft. Six bodies in a 3 person tent at 7,000 ft)

- Join me at Michymilling Inc. to mill up some cedar "4x4" railway ties for our Ore car wood-fired hot tub!
We purchased a wood stove heater for the tub off Amazon. It was the cheapest option we could find in a hurry (paying around $1,000 CAD). The other options were in the 2-4 thousand dollar range and the reviews weren't that great. The stove we chose has no reviews, so we may have a flop here but will definitely let you know how it performs.
Engineering/designing/building seats in the tub is a bit of a challenge, and something I'm still working on, so hopefully it'll be done for the next video! We also need to paint the inside.
Last week I showed a glimpse of our alpine camping trip, and the last part of the video I will show a bit more of it! (I realize as this video is uploading that I forgot to include the drone footage!!! đđ€šđ. Dangit!).
Anyway, thanks for watching and see you in the next video!!
M đ
A few things!
1- just so a bunch of people donât comment on my log manoeuvring, yes, we have machines to do that. But none were in the vicinity and the appropriate attachments were also in the opposite direction. I was careful and calculated, and I know the risks đ
2- I completely forgot to include the drone footage from the camping trip! đ
3- I think that was it. Thanks for watching! đ
Congrats on the 100K Subscribers (I just noticed). đđ
29:15 Mandatory Belly Scratch â€
No apologies necessary. That was spectacular. I love, love, love the love you give your dogsâ€
Great video...all of it...the log wrangling was humorous: The dogs also enjoy the "Alpine View"...nothing like the BC mountains...would like to share my time in BC and Alberta at some point....wm
Hey I'm reading a stupid book today. I would rather be like Clyde! ;)
I was going to say, if you hurt your back again, wrestling that log, I don't want to hear it lol.. I guess I said it anyway đ .. great video girl, you guys take care, and fur babies to..PEACE
Michelle - you are STRONG! You are picking up that lumber like it is lite as a feather. Very impressive.
Those ties aren't all that heavy but of course I guess celebrating a woman for BSing about building a "railroad" is the thing to do now.
@@NightMotorcyclist
Why are you weird, bot?
Everyone needs a cat to supervise your project. đ You had plenty fur baby heaters to keep everyone warm! Beautiful scenery and sunset Michele. Stay safe lady!
Your dogs are super sweet đ„° Beautiful video, thanks for sharing!
Iâm retired Marine Recon, Iâm outside and in the wilderness , when Iâm not being a carpenter, and Iâm outside then as well, Iâve watched your projects on CZcams , I gotta a lot of respect for you girl, a hot lady whoâs not afraid to get her hands dirty, and swing a hammer, you go girl !

Iâve heard of a three dog night ... but no one ever mentioned if that was three dogs per person or in total. Iâm glad that you and Steve can still enjoy camping out. Wishing you and your furry kids a blessed week, filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Peace princess.
FULL NAME of BAND ?? is all
Mitchy you are such a bad ass. I know guys who couldnât move those logs. And you do it with ease. Plus you look fantastic doing it. Those jeans fit perfect. Love your channel.
@@paulym5814 Those jeans couldnât look better if they were painted on instead of denim.
I actually started watching your video's because I was interested in the saw mill but I am glad I did because besides that you are an amazing woman and are also putting up some quirky and funny video's. đ€©

How is Levi's not a sponsor?!?
Truth!
Amen!
Looking Good In The Levi's
Your A Beast Working Out Pays Off At Times Yeah
Levi's lost their way a long time ago. But, a good pair of Levi's look great.
You are the definition of a strong woman, in every sense of that phrase. I'm glad you share those strengths with us.
Thanks for that indescribably gorgeous view from your campsite, MG! đ
I miss my mountains. Closest mountains to me are 3 hours away and in a different country. I get my mountain fix through you.đ
Great adventure absolutely....Your choice of music is like perfect.....
I built an addition on my house bought lumber did it all myself, but this girls got one upmanship that she can be proud of. You go girl
Beautiful scenery thanks for sharing and I so understand Steve wanting to camp out and I love how You Both care for the dogs. Be Safe and Enjoy.
Hi Michelle. You must have ants in your pants!!!! Always on the go!!! Looking gorgous as always. Have a great day Hon. Stay safe and happy. G
Right on!! Getting off nightshift 2km underground to this!!! Makes my day:)! Love that sawmill! I been looking at a wood miser. Thanks for another great amazing entertaining video:)!!!
Mining or tunnelling? Anyway, what a workplace... stay safe!
Spent 8 months underground at Frood-Stobie 1200 and 1400 level in Sudbury .@@RCake
Thanks a lot@@alexs3447. From an air conditioned desk, hard to fathom that your and my "workplace" are in the same world. My sincere respect to you and your colleagues for your work. đ€
What do you want me to do? Throw my a/c unit in the lake ? Darned near died underground . Is that enough ? @@RCake
Hi đ, thank you for sharing your time in mountains â°ïž, Phil from the moulin
I am emotionally touched and inspired by your deep love for your dogs and animals. I say âHappy Doggie, Happy Doggie Daddy.â My Bacon boy is my purpose in life.
You have to be the coolest woman I've ever seen. Love watching your videos.
Makes me grateful that you provide such love and care for your companions. Thank you
Steve has his hands full up there in BC. I used to take my dog on hikes in the mountains, she loved it. Iâll stop watching when your serving Steve meals in the dog bowl. It Looked better than the meal I had last night. We need to be able to clone Michelle, for our everything companion. I love the mix of events that you present. đ
You're truly blessed ! Also we are bless to have you ...
That chain works pretty good but a nylon strap works even better I found that out moving four big rocks for the footer on my log cabin. I had to switch to the TV to watch the camping trip. I think Steve's thought is the camping's fun but everyone needs to keep up the training, and keeping the whole family fit as a fiddle, and as you said....while you still can. Again I love the footage, and the dogs, but Clyde is my favorite†and Lenny what a stud, lolđ
My goodness, what a beautiful video. Say hello to Steve and the lads! Thank you so much for sharing Michelle âșïž
dang girl you got sum serious drive , Great videos
Oh my goodness thank you and Steve for taking us on your camping Adventure it was a fun one and funny oneđ you get up there and it's so quiet no noise no freeway no dirt bikesđ all that body heating at little tent you stay warmđđ thank you so much I will see you on the next oneđ I love the music on the videoâ€â€â€â€
That camping spot was amazing, I can see why you guys go there. Thank you so much for taking care of those dogs. That's beautiful to see.
And it looks like they really enjoy it.
Everything looked perfect in the end
You certainly don't need a gym to stay in shape!!! What an active life!!! Thank you for an enjoyable episode!!!â€
I am now using your videos as training videos for my employees. This is how work gets done! You're a beast, andI mean that in the nicest way.
Poor Clyde was pooped huh?:) That is a beautiful campsite. I could only dream of a place like that... You are certainly right, do it while you can. All the dogs are sooooo precious...â€
I pulled over on the Oregon side of the Columbia River so I could see this video. I caught a nope between 2 time trial bikes and my mounted bike, headed for Arizona. As usual...so worth it.
You are strong......be well. Stay safe.
Hi Michelli, you will really love your new MSA-140 Stihl chainsaw, it will become your go to saw. I purchased an Greenworks 40V 16" brushless chainsaw back in 2017. It is fantastic, light and long lasting battery, carry it when Jeeping the backcountry and work around our property. My Stihl MS 270 Farm Boss, it's to heavy for me now. My little 16" brushless saw dropped twenty trees last year, 14" D and 40 to 80 ft tall, fir & pine trees. Keep up the great vids, my Sunday morning first vid with coffee to start the day. Stay well and safe.

Yes, I AM loving it!đ
Hey Kiddo.... My wife and I are in our 70's and we still camp, fly fish, gold pan, and just enjoy the outdoors....yes it gets harder every year but the trade off is worth it...keep doing what you Love for as long as you can...memories are earned not imagined.......best to Steve and the Dogs .....be safe.
I loved Steve's comment about the army. Perfect example of why the smart ones join the navy. I spent 34 yrs as a stoker on both coasts, but I don't believe we ever crossed paths. Keep up with the great videos, I enjoy them a lot.
I JUST NOW NOTICED THE MICHY MILLING SIGN ON THE MILL. GREAT...!!!!!đđđ
Digging the music as you go full beast mode loading that timber!
wow ! When I saw you dragging that log I was like I give up LOL.
That campsite is simply amazing! And you're right, do it now while the two of you can. I'm almost 79 now and have been fortunate enough to still have reasonably good health, but this last year has seen a significant drop in energy and the drive to do things of that nature. I got here way quicker than I had planned lol! But I do have a projection TV with 10 foot screen and those views were incredible. Thanks for taking the hike for me lol!! As always, love your vids (and the cat and dogs!).
Yep, weâre all gonna be there one day!
lol - sometimes I forget that most people watch on an actual TV screen (not a phone like me), so the magnification is much greater!!! đłđ«Łđ€

†Stephen Michelle youâre such an adorable couple and I love your dogs. Clyde is really something.â€ïžđŸâ€ïžđŸâ€ïžđŸâ€ïžđŸâ€ïžđŸâ€ïž
Michy and Steve i would like to see y'all camp more often Canada Alpine is beautiful. Soon life, will slow down
I'm from the Great Valley of California United States đșđž
Hey Michy, on those seats I would keep the metal brackets the way they are: attach a 2Ă3, flat too the back, and attach 1Ă3 or 1Ă4 across it for the back with screws; and then the seats be attach either fixed or fold up when not needed. Keep it simple! That was a view too wake up too. Have a good week and God bless amen.
Lenny had that look of remembering, long ago,and then like snapped out of it ,almost like ptsd, from his past , but you could tell he was much happier now. â€
I don't think there is another channel on YT that gets as many Comments as this one does! People Love their Michy!
I just adore the Dogs....Clyde is the Boss!!! Lol...
Hi @Michy, when cooking outdoors as at 19:25, a windscreen around the cooker does wonders. I built one from aluminium sheets and piano hinges so it will fold for packing and flexibility. If you have something like 6..8" high and 10...15" wide, split into 4 segments that makes cooking a lot more efficient if there is any wind at all. It is enough to just glue on the hinges.
I am always excited for the continuation of this video series. It gives me hope for humanity. What a great lady.
What a lovely relationship you have with your dogs, and cats. It really is good to see them spending time with you and making those trips despite their advancing years. Thanks for posting your videos every week, I really enjoy watching the projects take shape and I certainly envy some of the mechanized equipment you have; they would be helpful around our place here in Newfoundland.
Indeed, great views.... and the smells.... early in the mornings especially after a rain! Just a few of the things fondly remembered from the days when places like that were my "office" every day. Thanks for posting!
Hello from the Netherlands.
thanks for the video Michelle .
Sincerely Hollandduck
You go, girl!
Awesome video!... done a few moose hunts like that but at lower elevation..... Cherish the memories now.... I thought i would see a Michygoss Sasquatch sighting.... Ketchup lady hard at work on the chain gang beginning of video....
Feisty, lumber warrior, princess!
đ. Good memory!! đ
Was so good to see Lenny so happy and wagging his tail! You sure do a great job with your videos. See ya next time!
Oh Michelle. What a treat this was to watch. I wish that I could share it to everyone. You are so ,so special. You bring me so much joy, Thank You,
You are just awesome. I wish I had a mill - that would be heaven. Keep up the great work.
What a Beautiful Sunset
Michelle and Steve (and the dogs), Thank you. This was fun. I wonder if I'll ever do that again? Thanks for Sharing!
Was nice to be a part of your camping trip! Beautiful spot.. so nice for the dogs.
Enjoyed the music too!
I loved the accompanying music when you were using the sawmill, it was like an old British movie in the 60âs!đ
I was typing when you said it, 3 person tent +4 dogs + 2 people = nice warm night!
You said that you will continue to do it until you can't. Well, I have reached the stage when I can't and I so appreciate all the adventures I had when I was younger. In the end, memories are a treasure.
Exactly!đ
What an amazing life you lead!â€
I like your strong , confident , no-nonsense approach to things
You make those jeans look good! :)
Those memories of wet dogs in tents will stay with you forever. Thank you for sharing!
4 dog night! Bravo! đđ
I have been enjoying your videos for a long time, so thank you for your courage and determination, which add to the content.
My wife has always loved trekking in the national parks and other destinations. I am older than Steve and cannot accompany her anymore, but she has friends with similar interests that fill that gap. Both you and Steve are fortunate to have each other to enjoy. Thank you for letting me participate!
Rail car spa is gonna be of the charts, just in time for winter just imagine that stack of lumber sorry i mean firewood to feed the fire some cold bubbly star gazing. great start to video firing up your saw mill and making your own lumber i mean amazing and that hike into the alpine those views to die for with the fur babies couldn't have it any other way. Thanks for sharing Michelle stay safe guys.
looks like fun you and steve are awesome
A three dog night plus one! It makes me smile to see your sweet Lenny enjoying adventures when he came so close to being put down & has his ongoing health problems. Seeing Steve in shorts the whole time reminds me of my late husband Bill who nearly always wore short so much so that a neighbor once called when it was below freezing to ask if Bill was in his "BIG BOY" pants now?
Thanks Nancy! It is great to see Lenny having such a good time - he has a few health things going on at the moment, so the more opportunities for fun and adventure we can give him, the better. đ
I hope you are well my friend! đđ
Heaven on Earth !!! Thank you for sharing....
Gotta love adventures with the pups! You are great pup parents. A great vet told me: Never forget dogs live in the moment and are pups for life.
Clyde is a handsome gentle dog one to calm your soul for sure
Excellant fitting Levis.
Don't miss the next chapter of Super Michy and the heavy log!!!! I love you witch, finally you defeated the terrible log. We are forced to see to believe the way you handling those logs, thanks a lot for show it.
I like the look of all the holes in the bracket and of course you can drill/mount anywhere !
those views are astounding! Thank you for sharing :)
Amazing video, thank you Michell
It's nice to see Mom, Dad and the kids on a hiking and camping trip, enjoying some family time. Amazing logging skills, and I didn't have any worries about your skills, abilities, or safety during these logging procedures. If anyone is aware of your utmost safety and ergonomic skills that you practice in everyone of your videos, they would be at ease about this one. After viewing the rest of this video I thought you were just letting us know, if you had to, you could backpack Steve back down the mountain if you had to. There concerns are understandable, we need to make sure our Michelle stays safe so we can continue to enjoy one of the best CZcams channels.
A lot of work but what isnât, great video! Love the puppyâs!!!
I enjoyed your Michymilling Inc. Sign. Way to lug that log to the saw. Thank You for sharing your One Woman Operation. Heater looks great and hope it works out. Thanks for taking us with you on your trip to the Beautiful alpine country. Just Gorgeous. Clydes look at the camera was priceless. Those dogs return your love for them; pals for life.
the love for your fur babies truly amazing ....... I just had my Abbie [whippet] cross the rainbow bridge last week and I am missing her so much.
RIP Abbie!
What a beautiful place to camp!!! Seems like the wind, rain and temps are ideal. Thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful people, beautiful dogs, beautiful view, beautiful video. What more could we ask for â€â€
Your camping trip with the dogs was great to watch! Love everything you do.

This past July, my wife and I celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary. I would really encourage you and Steve to continue to make those memories, as the day may come when the conversation goes, "Do you remember when...?" My wife and I aren't there yet, but know that time will come.
Michelle, getting back to my cabin door which was " highlighted" by thin wood limb cookies. I have now named my cabin "casa de la Puerta". Again, thanks for your inspiration.
God Bless you Michygoss you are AMAZING,you do 'your own thing' by yourself, you take care of and show so much love for your man and your collection of elderdogs...
