@@jcwindevillose I hear you. The dots being connected are due to dots being disconnected though. We were not only taught to learn a new language and forget our old but also now to dress like the oppressor, and take on new names/ identities. Heritage stripped from you. Dignity stripped from you. Family stripped from you. Then you are handed Christianity. Which becomes confusing that our oppressors loved us enough to give us a gospel that says if we love and forgive THEM and accept a messiah that looks like them then we will inherit eternal life. Mind you while giving us this they are also feeding our children to alligators, r*ping us and hanging us, whipping our backs and forcing free labour on us. Can you honestly say that makes sense? Keep in mind that yes others have faced hardships, the only reason we speak to the "black" experience is because of the scale and time frame both being excessive. After slavery was abolished there was still disdain for us and there was segregation. To this day there is a struggle. They burnt down a thriving community. I don't subscribe to "all white people are evil" however it's disingenuous to overlook everything that happened just because it's not happening to our people in the same degree it was before but consider also prison and the stuff our people engage in with media/ music it's hard to ignore there's some sort of target. So the question we want to ask is for a people so insignificant with no history in the bible etc, why are we the ones targeted so much since the Israelites?
