Thank god some people remember Marty robins
RIGHT!? I'm an aspiring filmmaker, and one of the things I noticed after awhile is how many tiny Marty Robbins homages in there.
Jordan Santacana that’s only because that guy is HUGE
36, hes def my favorite country/ballad singer.
@@thesantabros45 never enough man, id love to see one you make. make it!
Today was the first time i ran into his music and this has been my fav song im 26 im for sure hearing him in my truck
Thank you for Sharing well done 💓
El Paso would be a video project...So would Big Iron
Thanks Harry, My director and I have plans for a full feature of El Paso incorporating Big Iron also.
All of Marty's western songs have great video potential.
The big iron Lego version is a neat watch too
Great visualization and cover, Sir!
Probably mid sixties, pre four track, eight track and cassette, when all we had was the AM car radio, Mr shorty might play twice in a year and it would be total silence in the car as we all savored this song!
Loved it when barman is singing in character
Thank you. I even had the gunfighters lip sinking the words they were suppose to be saying.
@@EdGary Used to bring Mr. Shorty his product for him to deliver and had many a conversation with him. Wonder if he ever got his "Big Break" ?
It’s the little details that make things even more enjoyable
How could people forget Marty Robbins .
His song about the Alamo , 13 Day's of Glory , still gives me teary eyed .
And his mate's Johnny Horton , Frankie Lane , also sings The Hanging Tree .

Great video. I didn't think I would like it,but I do. Loved the line "Death would wait ten seconds more" just as good as the Virginian saying" Im not here to talk." saw Marty in 1979 in Saginaw Michigan and he sang this song it was a request,,,By me.
Excellent video....Marty was one of the greatest story tellers through his music.... Great job!!!
Legendary song. I don’t think anybody could ever match Marty, but dammit this video was great. Thank you so much for making it.
Dave stamly is better
Keep dreaming, Dave isn't even remotely as good a singer
Ed, this is an amazing take on this ole Marty Robbins song. You absolutely owned it sir. Great work. It should have thousands of views and I'm going to try to see that it happens..Thanks for this work of art..Dena.
ONLY 520 SUBS?
C'mon people, this deserves better
This is a lovely rendition of one of my favourite western songs, thanks for the great video
Thank You.
Well sung and excellent video. It really matches the ballad style
Thanks Ed, for bringing this beautiful song back. Very inspiring…think I’ll do more Marty instrumentals in the future.
This is great. I wish marty made a video for this song too
Sir, you sing just like a Cowboy should! Great video, too.l
Great video! You should do additional marty robbins songs. You seem to have a connection
Its kinda sad that this didnt get the recognition it deserve
Your not wrong. Love his voice.
Always enjoy listening to this singer
Marty Robbins is my Favourite Singer and his ballad, "Mr. Shorty" is one of the ballads that I'm used to listen, I'm so very happy when I saw this video. It has no mistake with the real ballad. I love it and a great thanks for the uploader, Mr. Ed and to those actors who took part in making this great video. 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
Thank you so much for your review.
It was a work of love for Marty, The song and the music from the cast and crew and I
I don’t get tired of listening to this man sing he does a great job on Marty Robbins song
Thank you Deborah
i would've given Shorty a job for as long as he wanted it
Marty Robbins song one of my favorites he was my favorite singer of all time
Finally someone made a version of this song. The live action is good.
Whenever I hear songs I like, I like to create my own music video in my head. I recently discovered this song and let me tell you… this is EXACTLY how the video played out in my head. Job well done
Really, really good production!!! Best regards, Jon
Thanks for this vidio . I have always loved this song . Well done .
I. Am. Floored. Perfect
loved it t y as a shorty my self i know how shorty feels shouldnt judge people love martys cow boy songs t y
Great singer he does this Marty Robbins song justice
This is a gem.
A cut down Colt Dragoon, would surely send 17" of flame. What I always pictured Him using.
You should do these for more of Marty's songs, El Paso, Felena, Tall Handsome Stranger, Bill Thaxton come to mind
I love coming back to this video
I thought it was a great song and really enjoyed w
Marty Robbins would approve.
Loved Marty Ribbons, what a great video you have done. Marty would be proud. Thanks!
Never get tired of hearing this man sing
Good song & video
I remember him. One of the better voices American country music ever saw. Western ballads belonged to him.
"God made men but Colt made them equal"
By the way, in my 18 y.o. I am only 163cm (it is right about 5,3 feet), so I can play a role of Mr. Shorty...
And I still need a friend)))
Best wishes to the author of this channel from Russia
Thank you Mihail
Love this singer
Mr. Shorty is my theme song.
I'm short and good with a gun
(I have never and will never killed a man, but I shot a target dead center with a 308 round 100 yards away [with a scope BTW])
Thank you for this video. Must have been a bit of work. Great to remember Marty Robbins who made this song a classic. He made everything a classic, in my opinion. 🙏
Not too bad of a cover! I like the change in cadence from the original. Fantastic job!
Best video for Marty Robbins songs
Thank you Gary
This video was sublime.
Well done! I've always loved this song, and your video nails the visualization.
AMEN
Really great production!!!
Absolutely amazing, thank you so much for this, superb and MR would love it
Can I like it twice?
Love it when Mike Watkiss reaches for his gun
Love listening to this singer
Thank you Deborah
Amazing work, I'd love to see more of this.
Wonderful…😀❤️👍
This exact song is the reason i got a .44 cal peitta Confederate short barreld model 1851 black powder revolver it looks almost exactly like the one used in the video.
Mr Gary you sing very well
This is really a great video and song, wow!
0:17)That is an US Cavalry Officers' Cord on the hat.
Thank you for making a video of this song. Much appreciated!!!!
Thank you, It was a lot of fun making it.
Song has a lot of education in it
It's not Marty, but he gave it a try. It's not bad.
As he walked out the..
Door he said it's always
This way!! Sorry Mr Shorty
But I'd rather not have..
That kind'a Karma..!!
Great job Ed Gary.
Thank you Dena
Thank you Dena
This is a great music video. I love the creativity and clear effort that went into this project. Keep up the magnificent work.
Thank you Daniel, We have more of them planned in the future.
@@EdGary That's good to hear!
@@EdGary If you ever need a director....Westerns are my favorite genre of all time. If you look at my page, you'll see I've done modern films with lots of western flavor.\
really cool..
"Mister Shorty". All too typical of a certain kind of man. Always meek, passive, and quiet-until he ISN'T. Then...WATCH OUT!!!
Awesome job, Ed!
Good Job Ed Gary!
Thank you Marti
One would hope Shorty would have developed a thicker skin by his age.
Love this mans music
Great music video
fine job ed ,, my kind of history ,, bill
really good marty would like it
Aw man someone beat me to it when I first heard this song I wanted to make a short off of it but I guess back to the drawing board
Same brother, same lol
This is amazing. Great video and great cover of the song.
Well done cowboy
You need more subs
Marty Robbins
Do strawberry roan.
Great idea. Thanks
Big nice
Thank you
I mean the one who played the short cowboy
Wish I could remember the short cowboy actor name I know I have seen him before
Gary Herikmer, He das been in lots of films and a few with me.
@@CountrySanta what name do you act under
Ed Gary 😂
Who plays the man in white hat
*Alright already, it is NOT a BASS . 44, it is a BAD . 44*
*Online lyrics websites Garner the same repetitive mistake.*
*Yet, in redemption, the lyrics were corrected in this music video on the third and final mention of the revolver.*
*Nice job on the video. It is how I have pictured in my mind.*
🎬🎞️🎥👍🏻✔️💯🏁
The 44 used in this video is a Bass 44.
but thanks for criticizing it anyway
@@EdGary I would have forgiven you as I lived in Buckeye and never realized the town in "Big Iron" was Aqua Fria. For 60+ years I thought Marty was saying Aqua Freida.🤦♂️
I’ve pictured this scene in my mind for the past 40 years and in my mind there weren’t any other people in the bar (even though the song say “all drinking stopped” clearly stating there were people there) and the men were at opposite ends of the bar. Thanks for the video of how you pictured it.
Not to criticize you, Mr. Shorty, but I thought Marty Robbins sang “bad forty-four”. I thought in this video it was sung as “short-barreled, fast .44”. My hearing is not that great. But if you say Bass .44, I won’t argue with that .44! 😯😀
I thought “bad .44” sounded more menacing, though.
Also, I always pictured “17 inches of flame “ coming out that barrel and a big cloud of smoke. This video didn’t seem to show that. I figured it must have been a black powder revolver like an 1860 Army model in 44 caliber. I wonder if a special effects charge of powder could make a big flash of flame and a big cloud of smoke.
I believe it’s “Bat .44”.
Who is the actor who played the cowboy in white hat
Only watching this for the visual
Same
I am curious about short cowboy who is he
The words are " bad 44" ,not bass 44
Damn good song bjt only marty can tell a story like this. I don.t get the feeling from this version
Did you really not know a guy even relatively short?
Mr Shorty in this video is 18 inches shorter than the actor playing the Bully
He was shorter than the men he stood near
shorty's eyes were brown not blue,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
😅
So... You're saying the woman who slapped him in the butt got a innocent man killed? Shame ms. Vi .
Bass 44? Wrong.
No, right Marty is also saying Bass not Bad.
The original song is just better
And has the correct lyrics!!!
You are not Marty 😩💀
I'm short myself...this isna good song for confidence
video is good but if you have to struggle to sing a song, dont sing it. Not even close to the sound that Marty made it sound.
Sorry but apart from the video you destroyed that song
