  • Moon Jumps are instantaneous Dash Super Jumps. Since they can cover so much distance, they’re great for movement. This edition of “Movement Tips” will go over how to do them, and WHEN you should use them! I hope that you found this video helpful, and maybe you’ll think about implementing this into your own gameplay.
    Thank you for watching. Please subscribe to the channel for more content, like the video and let me know what you think with a comment!

      Thank you!! Funny that you say that because I’ve been debating whether I should make this video or not for a while now. I’ve seen a few other videos talking about the moon jump, but they felt a bit rushed and didn’t quite explain when to do them. Thought I could do a better job expanding on it more!

    Haa the Oki moon jump is how they do it! I was so confused. I am gonna try with Krilin and AGH full screen lvl3 oki. That might be why my dash jump doesn't reach in time... Your videos really rock man! Thank you so much!! So much to catch up!

    With the new high jump mechanic, can you just hold S, dash forward and then jump to moonjump around? And are there tips to hold down the S without needing to input anything unnecessary?

    • @NovaZayn
      @NovaZayn  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes exactly! I'm kind of annoyed that they made execution easier for people who don't want to practice lol. I actually cover some of that at the end of my "How To use The Vegetas' Buffs" video!

      @@NovaZayn hahah, moonjumping normally is nearly impossible for me cause im currently using keyboard since dbfz is my first fighting game, so until i get myself a controller I'm just glad it's at least not gonna strain my hands when I do it in keyboard

      @@NovaZayn same. I felt like i mastered it and found a sweet spot and they effed it up. Not only that the new macro makes dashing air jump into dashing SUPER air jump which throws me off

      @@jcast39atmsn yea I hate not being able to dash jump with it but I still look jump with this same technique! At this point it’s just part of my muscle memory lol

    1:20 you said "I pressed down during the L recovery. Do you press it after usually? I have a hard time to see. (I can do the moon jumps from a IAD+jL/M, but I'm trying from grounded position like you shown)

    • @NovaZayn
      @NovaZayn  Před 2 lety +1

      Yea if you press down during 5L it doesn’t register, u need to press right after it’s done. But it’s very very hard from a grounded position, which is why only see it being used after IAD or after blocking. Don’t try doing it like this!

    • @Polopollo75
      @Polopollo75 Před 2 lety

      @@NovaZayn Yeah, I think I might be focusing too much about it. I get zoned easily. I was using the moon jumps to get out, but if you make another video, I would love one on "how to zone" So many player shoot ki blasts randomly, I rarely do. More like aerial beams to counter them or catch them, but for some reason I am scared to shot ki blasts. Maybe it has to do with how aggressive a player will be going from zone 3 to 2 and vice versa?

    Thanks for this guide i can get moon jumps but they are inconsistent. I play dpad i assume you do the same. I keep getting quarter circles sometimes.

    • @NovaZayn
      @NovaZayn  Před 2 lety +1

      That happens to everyone when they first start learning. Eventually, you get used to lifting your finger from 2 to 9 instead of « dragging it ». Moon jumps are easier now though after firing a ki blast with most characters by holding S and doing a dash jump (you get a dash SJ)
