Very cool apartment tour Michael and Julie! Pretty cool to see it all. Those door locks are interesting, I've never seen anything like that except for bank vaults or security doors, which is what those probably are since you mentioned politicians can stay there. Very Cool!
Headphones actually helped. Michael is hard to hear through a lot of it. The mic. If you have two, try the other one. 😉 💛💙❤ You know when the Olympics come on later this month, gonna have to watch three countries now. Hope Sweden, Columbia, and the US don't have to face each other very much. 🙃

Again, I apologize for the microphone situation. Usually the person holding the phone gets picked up very loud and clearly, and the person standing a few feet away is so much softer and harder to hear. We do have 2 microphones, but I was assuming the microphone would just amplify the 2nd person to the same volume as the person holding the phone and it would even out. I was so wrong! Never expected the Bluetooth to like supercede/override the person filming. I learned for next time haha. I wasn't about to ask Michael to re-shoot this entire video just because of that error. Should have done a practice run before hand. But oh well, I learned and will do better next time!!! We do have 2 mics, so from now on when we need to do a mic'ed video, we will both wear them!!!

The height of the balcony... I'd be scared to be out there. Lucky for me we don't typically have that tall buildings in Sweden, or I might have a problem. More than like 4-5 floors feels pretty tall (we do have floor 13 though, when we do). But the view is amazing! 😊
You said something about brushing your hair while wet and that you didn't like it or something, well actually hair doesn't like that. Comb it instead, that way your hair doesn't get as damaged. (Big/wide tooth combe, not sure how you say it in English.) If I got what you said correct. Not sure.
Getting seasick by your own videos, you crack me up sometimes. So sweet, and hey! LOVE watching your videos, never been seasick either. I am sure Mustang would agree. They are full of enthusiasm, charm and are happy/calming mostly. Very pleasing to watch - even if I'm always behind... Don't change! ❤
Hi Guinevere! Yes I'd say this apartment is quite different from anything we've stayed in before!! But it's been a unique experience and we're adapting. The heavy doors are only getting heavier though LOL. We leave them propped open almost all day while we are at home to let the breeze through. I can hardly open or close them!!!
The balcony height only makes me dizzy if I look down!!! We leave the glass open all day for the breeze, but we are so high up, we are literally higher than the insects fly, so we don't have bugs coming in at all! That's been a surprise! We're actually about the same height as some birds that fly around, and I keep waiting for one to fly right into our apartment HAHA.
I should have clarified in the video, I don't own a hairbrush, I haven't owned one for years!! I only use combs, although I guess I didn't realize I'm still referring to them as brushes. Good catch on your part!!! :). I still don't like to comb when it's wet if I can avoid it, usually as it dries, it almost completely detangles on its own, and then I comb out what's left snaggly. I'm so used to it now sometimes I forget and turn the camera on and then later am like whoops... should have waited a little longer and then combed HAHAHAHAHA.
I'm sooo happy you're enjoying our content. We've really enjoyed filming & editing while here. Michael is sooo busy with work, he barely checks our CZcams these days, but I keep him up to date on what are friends are doing & saying etc. He always asks about my "Swedish friend." We both hope you're doing well and having a great summer!! :)
People that work remote could definitely live there and enjoy the affordable living. It is only about a three hour flight from South Florida.
Hi there! We are loving living & working in Barranquilla! It's refreshing for things to be so much more affordable that in the U.S. The flight from Miami was only a little over 2 hours, I think. Felt like no time! What a beautiful place, I'm sure you miss it when you're away. I still can't get over the coincidence that you live in Melbourne, where we just left! 💛💙❤️
@@michaelandjulie I know. My dad is still there where he run his business so I will probably go visit some time this year. My wife is going with the kids but they are going to Cartagena and Medellin. I have to stay here for work but I know I can get on a plane and flight there any second. I tell my friends here all the time to come and visit with me but not many are that adventurous to go. I guess only some people like to travel and go to new places.
Cartegena & Medellin are both on our bucketlists of places we want to visit if we can, while we're here! We've heard such great things about both places!! I really want to climb those stairs at Medellin, but not sure either one of us are up to the altitude 😂. Cartegena sounds like a super fun town, and we are thinking of spending a family birthday weekend there if we can. Such an awesome country! I'm sure you're excited to come back. Has your family traveled to Colombia often altogether?
@@michaelandjulie Individually. We all travel when we can. There are several places you should visit while there but I am sure your sister in law will mention all of them. She is from there and I can tell she is pretty knowledgeable of the city and also a great guide. You are in good hands there. I will send you my FB page to your CZcams channel email. There is sooo much to see in Colombia and so little time! We are all working Monday theoigh Friday right now, so we're limited to traveling out of the city on weekends. It's become obvious we need months & months to live here to see it all. Medellin is high on our list, as well as Cartegena & San Andrés! Mari has been a fantastic tour guide. She has lived in Colombia her whole life until she met my brother, they've been together over 10 years at this point and have traveled the world most of that time. She is on Instagram, but Michael & I aren't on social media anymore unfortunately. Only our pup Abra has an Instagram page 😂.

Hope you don’t think I was complaining about the sound and mic’s, I just know when I got ours, it came with two. Didn’t realize they wouldn’t work with my camera, although it said it did. I just thought maybe it would help. Curious to see and hear how the two of them work out now. ☺️
