I think the "this isn't the WWE" line is so underrated. Here we are watching elite fighters showcasing their skill and strength in combat, and yet what many people want is just drama and blood. Like Patrick said in his documentary on DJ, "this is what our culture values."

@@OXY187 I find the fights entertaining. I wish all these fighters had an appropriate mutual respect for each other. I'm just an amateur fighter, but all my gyms have emphasized decorum and respect for tradition. I think the UFC and meatball head and the Pro Wrestling influence is all terrible for the sport. My favorite fighters have always been respectful, GSP, Khabib, Machida, Holloway, Porrier, Valentina... You may be competitors but in a way you're all peers and colleagues
The problem of this sport is that 80% of the fan never stepped in a gym and a lot of those are casual, here just for the show and the ko. I know a lot of people that watch ufc just when the figthers are on their feet lol. This dont happen in other sport, most of fans have a real passion for the sport. I think is like this because some people need to feel "powerful" by just watching fights thinking they have knowledge 😅
