      I have noticed that as well. Andrew "finishes" all of his jobs. Smooths everything out--even if it is the far side of a road ditch he just cleaned out. Most people anymore just want to spend the least amount of time possible to accomplish the task. Andrew will continue to get referrals and repeat business because he does all jobs the way he would want someone else who does work for him. That is rare anymore--keep up the great work and attitude Andrew!!! Keep the vids coming--I know they are time consuming.

      @@Peggyt-jp6mt If you are referring to the automotive uses, yes a sandblaster would be a good tool that you would use to strip down frames to bare metal and remove rust, that being said it also warps the panels too and it just better to use the alternative (newer age "sand-blasters.") I guess I could see sandblasting the blade, (why? I don't really know) but then you have to think that blade is always being tore up by debris he is clearing, and no you cannot just sandblast a car and respray, you can expect warped panels and base coat wont protect the bare metal from the elements, and probably body filler assuming there is body work to be done, hence the need of a sandblaster. For Andrew though, a simple, cheap, non-messy solution is a grinder.. lol

    Good job on the blade repair Andrew. You made it better than new. Better have a look at the oil in those final drive planetaries because the previous owner must have used this mini for a bulldozer. Change it out and look for presence of metal particles. Those foam type ear plugs (e.g. 17:04) are designed to be squished, shoved right into the ear canal then held there with a light pressure as they expand again to fill the ear canal. That's if you want them to be effective at blocking noise. And yes that does mean they get waxy and nasty, which is why they are cheap even in 100pr packs, bin them after use.

      What amazes me is that he is so young and has all that he has. He is only 34! He must have inherited a large sum of money when he was young, and then invested it wisely, because I don't think a person could start with nothing and amass what he has in the time he has amassed it. He is one of the most impressive men I have ever known of, especially for his age.

      Some help from family perhaps, but his "How I got started in excavation" video shows he had some pretty old equipment to start with, but most importantly a "get 'er done" mentality to things and perseverance rarely seen today, I'm a fan for sure.

    A friend of mine used to store his hammer on it side on the ground and it ruined all the o rings and had to have the whole thing rebuilt , he ended up building a stand to put the bit in so he could store it standing up. Just FYI, could save you a big head ache later...

      @magadon ruferto I believe that was just grease in that video. You're supposed to use a special grease, but people who don't use their hammer religously don't often have the correct hammer grease.

      @bluesman7703 Před 5 lety +1

      Good advice , I've never heard of that before (not to store a hammer on its side ?) thanks , also any Grease is better then no grease . As a equipment owner repairs like cutting edge's , yes sooner the better but it comes down to economics . Just one more job , so it will pay for the repair . In the long run it will cost you more !

Never use one but it looks fantastic. It does do a better job than bottle torches. Learned something new. It cuts real good. Great job....you sure don't mind heavy tedious work. That's a good man.
