I am one of the lucky ones still around who watched this very talented lovely man live, he was a joy to watch, sadly his comedy has long gone ,Rest In Peace Mr Skelton, you will always live as long as there are recordings....Thank you for sharing wonderful memories.

I can't believe the Red Skelton Dancers invented Jazzercise!
Remarkable the video tape of this show survived. Between the studios in New York City and Hollywood/Burbank/Los Angeles, thousands of hours of TV shows video tapes and kinescopes, from the 1950s through the '70s, were tossed into the trash, as they were taking up space with the studios; as the execs didn't see the value of preserving them. Studios managements were just concerned about producing the next revenue-generating film/video show production.
One of the most famous examples of heritage video tapes being discarded:
The official NBC videos from the first several years of The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson don't exist, as the story goes, an NBC exec wanted shelf space cleared at the studio, where he ordered the tossing away of the show's video tapes.
Years later when Carson owned the production rights to his show, the video tapes of his shows were kept and well-maintained in storage.

If that muscular guy @18:30 looks familiar, that's actor Peter Lupus that later went on to be in the original Mission Impossible TV series; playing the part of Willy Armitage.

Imagine a combination of a country n music hit as a dance combined with a Kennedy Campaign. That was unusual for a variety show back then. A few months later and Kennedy wouldn't be with us anymore.
