Gino Furzi Not really. He was a complete failure on the domestic front which led to insane inflation and unemployment rates. On the foreign front he was a suicidal pacifist when it came to a Russia and his refusal to back the American installed Shah led to the nuclear hungry , jihadie blood lust Iran we know today. By every possible standard Carter was one of the worst presidents to have ever been in that office.

I’m glad he is still alive in my life time, I was born in 2003, Ronald Reagan died in 2004, I was around 1 years old when he died, and Gerald Ford died in 2006, I was 3 at that time, then George H. W. Bush died 2 years ago, i was around 14 at the time, so I’m glad to have a 70s President still alive in my time rn
It's eerie looking back at his speeches, particularly the malaise speech, and seeing how relevant that speech is even now. It was shameful how he was treated by his own party, still is since he was only given a spot on the DNC at the last minute whilst Bill Clinton still gets revered and they had the likes of Colin Powell give speeches.

I remember the concert celebrating President Carter’s Nobel Prize win. When Wille Nelson took the stage and began to sing “Georgia”, President Carter went up on stage and sang it with him.

You can make a case that Pres. Carter was underrated but one thing you can't deny, he was an honest president. Probably the most honest president since Lincoln. Of course the orange clown in office right now is like the polar opposite in terms of morals compared to Carter.

A truly wonderful documentary of a truly terrific human. He's one person for which I wish time could rollback to 1976: we need another Jimmy Carter today. Hopes for Biden, though he won't be hosting historic musical moments on "our" South Lawn. Thanks for this heartfelt, happy, uplifting documentary. There were rough times those 4yrs, though despite some turmoil, President Carter lead us through PEACEFULLY.

As a republican I respect carter a lot as far morals, I wasn’t alive during his presidency but when I was in school we did a project on presidents and I had to do it on carter so I really learned a lot about him and I believe he could of succeeded as a 2 term president in a different era, even my dad who’s very conservative told me that morally carter was one of the nicest presidents but had a terrible cabinet working for him which tarnished his presidency along the Iran hostage situation
