When we were in Aulani last month, the food was incredible. We did Makahiki character breakfast, dinner, ate at ama ama without the kids, ate at the oleo room, and off the hook. It was expensive but never had a bad meal!
I’m so glad to hear this. My family wants to go back but the food was such a struggle. Maybe they’ve turned it around.

Super helpful tips! We hope to go to Aulani in the next few years. We've been trying to wait until our kids are a bit older and can travel the long distance a bit better. Super disappointing that the food isn't good though...
Oh yes, but the fix is easy - just got off resort property for food! The rest is so easy and fun.
We just back from 2 weeks at Aulani. 4 of our party have never been to Disney. We thought the food was great. The fish was fresh and the burgers were juicy. The monkey pod was just average at best. We were there while the the place was full.

The best tip should be to rent a car and explore the island. It will be cheaper than the excursions through the resort.
