    I was looking at full NA build
    -Cam
    -LT2 manifold
    -95mm throttle body
    -Kooks long tube headers high flow cat
    -Rotofab CAI
    -would go e85 but one store within 20 miles and due to elevation I was told not much gain.
    -Tune
    Total price quote parts and labor they said $9,000. Is this high or is this normal price? Thanks

  • @JLSpeed
    @JLSpeed Před 4 lety

    If you are just doing cam or staying NA you really don't have to upgrade your fuel system. I have a cam with 32% more fuel lobe and have fbo cam and ported heads and can still run full e85 no problems, now im pretty much getting to the limits of the stock lt1 fuel system, but the car should be making around 575 give or take. I added nitrous but with a standalone fuel system so that i do not have to use the stock fuel system and can spray 100-150 hp more easily with c16 race fuel to get into the 650-700 easily without having to touch stock fuel system.

    You mention that the LT1 platform might be best route for a drag build. Don’t no about that because it does have track mode, I just wonder if that would be another hurdle to over come. Bare bones 1SS would be my choice. I saw the LT1 in person that front end looks very cheap.

    • @Lethalgarage
      @Lethalgarage  Před 4 lety

      Don’t need track mode to be a good drag car. Any good car gets a trans tune regardless

    I have a TVS 2650 and nothing else. It's plenty of power for a car that will always run Michelin PS4S. My issues are some of the driveability of the car. It's not terrible but still occasional light surging, weird part throttle paddle shifts and too much throttle input relative to the actual pedal input. I have a reputable tuner and I've heard the issues are related to limitations in HP tuners torque tables. I wish I was more familiar with the system. I hope some like Haltech makes a plug and play solution for DI Camaros. By the way have you seen that SPL Parts makes all the suspension now? they make awesome stuff.

    Watched the vid. My 2014 2SS is similar to yours. Have a 2.9 Whipple. All forged with a stroker crank. Ported heads. TRI-Walboro pump setup with large injectors. I run on E85. I also have NOS. You keep talking about adding Methanol Injection. Had it but didn't need it. It made the car very hard to tune with the E85. I removed the whole methanol system. E85 is temperamental. I went with a summer tune and a winter tune for Texas. I think you'll be making a mistake with the methanol install. Also it runs out very quickly, you need to keep filling up that tank. Cheers

    • @Lethalgarage
      @Lethalgarage  Před 4 lety

      The 5th Gen isn’t a DI motor, so it’s very different. Depending how you run the meth is also a huge factor. We will have an on demand system and it will be just fine with 3gals at a time.

    • @speedlife301
      @speedlife301 Před 4 lety

      Di is easy to tune with meth and e85 for a good tuner and is the only way to make max power with direct injection they both cook the combustion chamber and the meth adds fuel and cleans the carbon off the valves and pistons . Combined they give the ultimate detonation resistance

    I am a bit confused, you said that you run a TDSS carbon fiber drive shaft, but then you said that you don 't like them because you have seen to many "turn into confetti", did you mean to say that you run a chrome molly shaft?

    Hey what package Camaro would you recommend for street fun and dragway racing only? I'm mainly interested in 2020's for the 10 speed auto. LT1's seem ok but I think the SS looks better overall, just don't know if the 2ss is worth the extra money. Currently looking at a 1SS in satin gray without mag ride.

    So my Camaro's resonator had to be taken out and on top of a muffler delete it got really loud, now call me crazy but I didn't like the way it sounded so do you guys recommend a way to fix the issue? to get another resonator I would have to buy the whole exhaust again which I don't want to do.

      If you’re not gonna go with a roots blower or if you’re gonna stay NA you could pick up an MSD intake manifold. Adds a lot of top end and makes a huge difference for a cam.
