I think Christmas Vacation 4k going for 9.99 also. Weekend at Bernie's is excellent comedy, you'll love it Ken.
The Mask should look great on 4K. One thing many may not realize is the soundtrack is awesome fun music. I owned the soundtrack and often listened to it when driving.

Dumb and Dumber is my #1 followed by The Mask,and Liar Liar all three are fantastic but Dumb and Dumber has that #1 distinction of making me laugh so hard in the movie theater that I fell out of my chair on the floor and laughed so damn hard I was crying..Everyone in the theater did that too..1 of the funniest movies ever made. Bruce Almighty is up there too..That's a great haul from Gruv Ken!!

Great pickups Ken. I also grabbed "1941" from the Gruv sale, as well as "Munich" (also by Spielberg) and the "Duel" steelbook. I now wish I had gotten "Sugarland Express". Goldie (Hawn) was definitely a beauty back then.

I picked up Along Came Polly, Xanadu, and The Watcher from Gruv. I had been needing to add Along Came Polly to my collection for a while and I wanted to check out the other 2, so it worked out super well that I could get them all for $15.99!
I have 3 copies of Dumb and Dumber on blu-ray Ken. We need that on 4k
1941 is one of Spielbergs regrets it was a flop at the cinema, look out for Always with John Goodman and Holly Hunter. Kino did announce they might do Cry Baby on 4k like Manhunter we’re still waiting.

I had never heard about The Sugarland Express. Decided to watch it on Amazon. What an incredible movie. Goldie Hawn and William Atherton were so powerful in their performances. Based on a true story.
Sugarland Express .. is fantastic! It's still better than anything he's done in the last 25 yrs IMO. It's the only film of his I still need a 4K to. And Goldie's best film too.

I saw 1941 when it came out and I'm thinking I was 13. I didn't like it at all but at that age, I probably just didn't get it.

Since you saw Bruce Almighty in the theater, do you remember this? In that original cut, Bruce's pager had a real phone number. And at the time, it was some lady's cellphone. So, she kept gettin' prank callers, askin' to speak to God. They replaced it w/ a 555 number in the physical releases.

Also, Weekend at Bernie's is one of my all-time favorite comedies. It's too bad that specific Blu-Ray transfer is trash; it looks like a DVD port. Still watchable though. I wonder if there's another version of that disc out there that's cleaned up a bit more?

Ken here is a warning about the Dumb & Dumber BD. It is the Unrated version and this version has added scenes that ruin this movie. So many fans want the theatrical cut on BD. Or they need to release both versions on the same disc.
1941 is a strange oddity. It was an early Spielberg mis-step. Not totally awful, but not up to the quality it should be considering the people involved.

I picked up Sugarland Express last year to fill in Spielberg gap as well. I had the same thought about a 4K release but a year has passed without a peep.

1941 was a comedy that was chaos on ever level and at the premiere was told by Spielbergs friends how bad it was.It definitely Grand in design. Has a few good moments especially Slim Pickens and Christopher Lee 🤣

Now note Stephen Spielberg wanted John Wayne and when John was told it was a comedy. He was offended of making lite of Word War 2.John then tried to talk Stephen out of even making it let alone Staring in it 🤪 It's over the top Comedy Some descending into unfunny lunacy. Still worth watching. Watch at the end with the 2 guys on the ferris wheel with the Dummy. These actors literally hated each other. It was Good to get it has some saving grace. But not at the box office 😢😮😅😊
It's a shame that the Theatrical Version of Dumb & Dumber isn't available on Blu Ray; it's the much stronger version of the film IMO. The Unrated Version pretty much just adds alternate takes that aren't as funny.
Kino Lorber Is Supposedly Working On A 4K Ultra HD Transfer For Cry Baby But Who Knows If They Still Have The Rights Criterion Could Have Taken It From Them. Seeing How Criterion Likes To Add A John Waters Film To There Library.

Well Gruv missed out‼️ Damn me too 🤬🎃🔪 a couple of weeks or so ago I ordered there 3 for $30 4k. I ordered movies I like and didn't own on 4k. Shazam, Point Break, and Smokey and the Bandit 4k. Well I wanted more like $150-$200 more. Gruv website sucks. It either would straight up lock up or lock up if I changed my mind and wanted to remove something. There website SUCKED ‼️‼️🤬🎃🔪 I went ahead and ordered over $300 from Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. Gruv lost out‼️🤬🤬🤬🎃🔪

1941 is a big disappointment but still worth watching. At the time, critics were cynically referring to it as “Animal House goes to War” because it lazily followed that formula and cast Belushi and Tim Mathieson in similar roles. Of course, that doesn’t matter as long as it’s funny. But it’s not. One good thing that came from it is John Williams’ 1941 theme, which is up there with his best ever and will be in your head for days.
