NA will shock the world. NRG finally realized that their mid jungle early game synergy is the way to go.
And now they have to play T1 in the Qtrs lmao. T1 is listed as 4 seed and NRG is listed as 5 seed. So nice of them to not have this draw rule listed on their official format page classic Riot.

I think it was crownie talking about the draft order, but I loved he was able to pick up on the exact draft strategy. It shows why it's important to have pro players in these panels.
Watching more, I also lived the insight he had on pressure and the difference between c9 and nrg.

Yeah, always helps to have someone with actual experience, not just LS going "it's over, they threw" when someone picks a meta champ, or they miss one creep in laning phase

NRG's roster is making a HUGE case for domestic talent and growth. Interested to see how teams create their team next year
Most of these players got sent back down to academy more than once and had to CLAW their way back to the pro stage...and were on a 8/9th place team that sold their LCS slot. What a fucking comeback story for the boys.
I just hope the success doesn't only translate to this one series and they can take one or two games off of an Asian team.
Bold prediction though: g2 beats their last BO3 and somehow draws NRG as their quarterfinals opponent.
NRG almost couldn't have asked for better draws in Swiss, and this is probably the worst Europe has ever been comparatively.
@@JUNGLEsausage considering the group of deaths that we've suffered for years, it's about time NA got a good draw and capitalized. Even given that, G2 isn't a pushover, they just were outclassed today. Ignar said in an interview that they had a sub 10% win rate in scrims, NA always levels up when their scrims are shit because we are used to it.
I think the biggest case they're making is for true team gameplay and coaching discipline. C9 might be better mechanically than the C9 of old, but we all remember that old C9 was the last NA team to play as one hand consistently. Recent C9 showed they could do it in certain comps, like playing around poke varus. But NRG are showing it's really ingrained in them that they share a vision and understand their roles in each game.

@@intifadayuri which is a great dynamic. You get the most ideal pics from LS and then Crownie breaking it down to what they actually will pick. So you get the best of both worlds IMO.

nah I wouldn't normally support NA but they were just strictly better today - they beat MAD, they beat G2 and they played league with an innovative comp and fresh ideas... they deserve to have EU's spot at quarters - question is: can they beat an eastern team like G2 has done twice this worlds?

C9 should learn from NRG. Having an ACTUAL SUPPORT WHO KNOWS WHAT HE SHOULD BE DOING AT ALL TIMES helps at lot and make a big difference in game. Also having a Midlaner who got hands and can communicate with his jungles helps at lot too.
I’d say NA has always been a joke really, but the past few years EU has fallen from grace as well. Last two/three years they’ve performed just as poorly as NA. Idk what happened, too many LCK/LPL teams now or what

Shoutout to Crownie for always trying to counter LS. I love LS and his analysis, but I always appreciate those who argue against his logic. The best part is when LS nods to his fellow commentators that make good points, especially Crownie. Go NRG. Side shoutout to BDS for going far, I think in a few years, they can definitely go the distance with their mentality of playing league.

@07Lightless Game 2 he played exactly how he was supposed to. He stopped ganks, absorbed pressure, and played safe. In a tournament filled with ego filled top laners it was refreshing to see.
NRG could win world's and people would still doubt them. They looked so clean this series. So proud 🥹

While G2 absolutely underperformed this series, NRG played so well and they should absolutely be proud of their whole team. This is not only the cleanest series as a whole NA has played internationally in YEARS(maybe ever, c9 vs AF 3-1 was also pretty clean) but i think as far as NA/EU rivalry goes this is probably the hardest a team got absolutely shitstomped.
