When you spend a lot of time divesting, searching and listening, not belonging. reading through the lines, feeling blind to situations you thought were different. you end up walking.
the song started with the windscreen on the van being taken off and having to drive in the pouring rain, and then having to leave the car behind and having no transport or place to sleep, walkin... theres a gallery attic, theres a cafe and many other characters, theres emotive harmonica taking the lead too. the song was birthed on the street, Commercial St, in a day.
and then bringing the song over with the ferry, to Wellington to play it wandering in another street, still rough, only a few days after it's completion.
Its a bit messy, finding the groove still, its a bit hard to walk while doing all these things. it all came together so last minute and magically that my friend Cadby Kong who I'd met on the other island and in the place I had just left from, happened to be in the city I just arrived in, and we met up before sunset and rushed against with the sun and made this impromptu video, with help from my good friend Dee (in front of her house), we had some laughs making this its all a one take, we did have to redo one because of some funny technical mishap and the camera or microphone almost hitting my face :D, I tried not to crack up... feeling alive beyond everything else in those times... - Hudba
Such a solid, well passed song. This piece,like the rain, has found me at the right time. The video is just right for it too🐸.

I'm loving this, the more I listen to it the better it gets, takes some guts singing it while walking down the street, you've got a great voice, guitar and harmonica is great you'd give Bob Dylan a run for his money on the harmonica. Brilliant tess, you've gained a new subscriber. Loved it. More to come hopefully tess.
Hey Dylan, Thank you so much for your comment (sorry for the delayed response!), it was a fun experience singing AND walking in the street! the song has since come out on my first album ! but sometimes those live version retain something magical. I'll make sure to post some more recent videos soon... thank you again...
