- Have you ever wanted to take your RV camping on a beach? Well in this episode, we had an awesome opportunity to take our RV out to Magnolia Beach, Texas and do some epic camping with friends. The best part was that it was FREE!
We met this awesome family while staying at Lake Conroe Thousand Trails, and after they left the park, we started seeing epic pictures of them out at Magnolia Beach. So, we reached out and asked if they wanted company as we had been looking for a place to go when our reservation was up.
We spent a week out on the beach and it was one of the more relaxing places we have been so far. We had been able to get some long needed work done and let the kids play. It was also great to spend some time with this new fulltime rv living family we had just met. This is one of the things we absolutely enjoy about this community.

Hey guys!! Awesome!!! Itâs a great place to boondock, thatâs for sure. Is that your Christmas location? If soâŠwow! Very cool spot!! Let us know what you think and if you come across any better resources than what we could find! There is a harvest host really close by that is an RV park. If we could do it again, weâd schedule a day at that place right before we leave so we can dump tanks. Have a great time and merry Christmas.
We spent 14 days at Magnolia Beach. It's on a bay and was OK but nothing special.
The nearest dump station is in Victoria Texas at a city park.
Alternatively you can spend a paid night at the Magnolia Beach RV Park ($32.00) if they have a spot available and dump your tanks there.
We liked the Padre Island National Seashore better than Magnolia Beach.
Magnolia beach rv park is also harvest host. So we stopped there for the $15 or so donation.

Hey thanks Todd. Itâs been a major work in progress over the past 2 years. To think we didnât even know how to hold a phone horizontally when we first started is kind of funny. Always something new to learn and practice. The hardest part is telling the actual story. We are slowly getting better and better. Thanks for the encouragement. đ€

I really like this video. I recently saw a Magnolia Beach video that the makers didn't like the beach. They complained that the water wasn't blue, The public rest rooms has sand crabs and spiders, blah blah blah. It's free camping on the beach ! C'mon Looks like a great place and I hope to visit someday.
Oh man!!! We had a great time out there. I would wonder if maybe different times of the year the water may be different? Not sure but the water was gorgeous when we went in November. The sand you drive on is basically smashed up seashell and very hard packed so you donât risk getting stuck at all. And yesâŠfree is the best kind of camping. Glad you enjoyed it. That makes us happy. Let us know if you ever make it over there! đ€

You need to head to south Padre island best beach in Texas
Weâve heard itâs pretty awesome down there. We really enjoyed the quietness here at Magnolia. Hope we will get back down to SPI sometime. đ

Hey Mike. Magnolia Beach was a great spot to boondock. We were told that not even a lot of locals know about that beach. We were there and there were only about 12 or so other RV on the beach. It was great. One of our favorites.

Nice but not the best⊠the adventure is at PINS⊠Padre Island National SeashoreâŠ. 60 miles of unspoiled natureâŠ
Weâve heard that area is nice. We really enjoyed Magnolia. The weather was perfect, the water was warm, the beach was a lot of fun to comb and it was the best to be there with friends.
Please look up Texas senate bill 434 and spread the word They are keeping this quiet and it is very serious it will destroy this activity.Also look up The Texas Open Beachs Act which this will do away with thanks.
What was this beach called?
This is magnolia beach in south texas.
Is this area just RV camping. Any Tent camping?
I believe there is an area designated for tents but Iâm not 100% sure. You may be able to find some more info out on Campendium.com.
How many gallons is that portable tank?
We have a 28 gallon tote. We really like our macerator pump too because we don't have to lift the tote in and out of the bed of the truck. We can just pump our "stuff" directly into the tote and take it to a dump station. Its quick and easy to use.
