  • Recorded at the first-ever Watercress Fest, April 2024.
Oklahoma’s Blue Thumb is a statewide citizen science program. It trains volunteers to monitor waterways and share their knowledge of water quality with others. The goal of Blue Thumb is to empower people to protect water in their region from non-point source pollution.
During the Land & Water Summit at Watercress Fest, Blue Thumb Oklahoma presented things the average resident can do to protect streams from pollution. The talk focused on the interconnectedness between how we manage land and the health of local waters.
