Grand Seiko SBGA027. My first

This might still be the cheapest Grand Seiko Spring Drive you can buy in the market. I wasn't expecting to love this watch as much as I do now... Every time I look at it, it takes me back to walking the streets of Tokyo with my girl. Eating all the food, seeing all the sights. Our trip was amazing.
Tokyo really has some of the most amazing watches, both new and pre-owned. I can't wait to go back... Next trip will be Kyoto and Osaka.
p.s. The watch looks beat up because I wear it pretty often. When I got it from the boutique it was in almost mint condition.

Great pick up and story! Double branded dials are starting to get the love it deserves and what better way to acquire one than in Japan.
I just left Japan a few days ago for my remaining travel plans in Korea. Once I’m back in the states, I’ll get working on my set of videos on my acquisitions. Great video man!

Ok, first off, first time viewer and subbed. Second, I looked for “THE” GS for me for about a year. I landed on the GS SBGA293. It just ticked all the boxes and, same as you, prefer the understated elegance. So, the next grail I’ve been eyeing ‘was’ the Rolex Explorer 40mm 224270. It still may be, BUT….dude, this SBGA207 is really scratching that itch. I dunno. I really want a stark black dial and this is just…..well. Anyway, you’ve made a hard decision much more difficult, in the best way. Looking forward to more content. Great vibe. 😎👍🏼

@@mrpotatoooooo found both on Chrono24. Both barely worn and in mint condition. Most people buy watches sight unseen, so when they get a GS in their hands they sometimes find out it’s not for them and price it to move. Takes some patients, but there are always deals if you look.
