Yes, the fabric of the synthetic bag is actually different--less "stretchy." All Canmore bags have a 2-year warranty. We consider the average lifespan of a synthetic bag to be roughly 3-5 years. If played a lot, the range can be on the lower end. After 5 or 6 years, it's good from a hygiene and precautionary standpoint to replace the bag. No one wants a bag to fail during a performance! Under most conditions, it is helpful to unzip the bag each playing session, so it has a chance to dry.
