Thank you, was at the finish line struggling and this video got me there! Update: thought I was done until I realized I ran the wire on the wrong side of the door trim gasket and then had to pull it out and do it again, but it was easier the second time lol thank you for the video!

This was the best advice I found. Long skinny screw driver and wd40. Fished it through is less than 60 seconds. Thank you so much!

Legend man. Just been fitting a dashcam myself, and you and people like you have been a massive help to me. Very much appreciated, and I'm sure other folks agree!

Bună, un videoclip pentru Ford Fiesta 2008? vă rog, și cum știu dacă mașina mea are un sistem de monitorizare inversă încorporat? Am o cameră auto de la Orskey DashCam 1080HD. Mulțumesc.

Hi, How would you recommend fitting a rear cam into a Corsa 2014 D, since it doesn't have the plastic trim at the top of the boot, its all metal. Any videos showing that? Thanks!

Yellow cap WD40 is silicone based and safe to use with rubber
It takes a little bit of research to use the right materials my friend

Where would the power come from in the rear? I don't seem to have a rear 12v socket on my new model

On this install the rear cam had a interconnected wire to the front cam so pulled power from that.
For a stand alone rear cam you run a cable to the cars internal fuse box.

Is this the rear of a VW Arteon?
Struggling running wire from front to back. Using the tool, how easy is it to remove without breaking clip? I have a Blackvue cam. Any guidance be appreciated . Thanks

@@ashchoudhury Tbh being trade I did work on that many cars I don’t know the model of the one in the video.
In a VW the rear rubber flex has a plastic inner where it clips in to the car body and the bootlid, these plastic inner sections have four plastic tabs that pop out behind the metal.
To remove the. Carefully push a plastic lever tool down wash side of the rubber flew where it meats the metal. They are very flimsy and I’ve seen a lot of techs snap them only to then superglue the rubber end to the car….

Vaseline is petroleum based and it’s not good for wires or rubber!!

Earth your rear camera then it won’t interfere.
