- Pope Francis continued the papal tradition of washing feet in a ceremony on March 28, 2024, the Thursday before Easter.
This year was a first: he washed the feet of only women. Pope Francis washed the feet of 12 women in a prison from his wheelchair.
Over the years, Pope Francis has washed the feet of women and Muslims but never exclusively women. Early in his tenure, he changed church rules to officially include women in the ceremony.
The move was met with resistance in the vatican. His predecessor, Pope Benedict, only washed the feet of men and later switched to washing the feet of only priests.
The ceremony commemorates when Jesus Christ washed his disciple's feet the night before his crucifixion nearly two thousand years ago.

I agree that he's not the father only God head we pray to who is the father son and holy spirit. He said, I give you these gifts to go into the world and set the captives free, and preach the good news.

Mary Magdalene was the prophet, not Jesus.
I know it doesn’t match what the men taught you, but it’s true.
She might have been a prophet yes but Jesus is the Messiah, John 3:16 says it all. For God so loved the world he sent his son so that whoever believes in him, will not perish but have eternal life. Mary was healed and saved through Jesus. A prophet doesn't mean a God. God imparted gifts to man so they could prophesy in Jesus name, through the Holy spirit when he gave up his life on the cross for you, me and all who receive him.
