Rainbow Trippy background + Masking | after effects tutorial

Decided a tutorial was wayyyyyy overdue. Pretty simple if you already know how to mask. It's just stacking a lot of effects on top of each other and playing around with the settings to get a look you like.

Also , if didn't know , CTRL + D is the short cut to duplicate a clip & precompensing your "color key'ed" clip and than adding the stroke might work .

i only masked one frame since i froze the clip. If you dont want to freeze-frame, you would have to mask frame by frame if you prefer to use the pen tool.

Bro I repeated the same steps 6 times and everytime I add the psychoblobs it puts it over the whole video and it’s really irritating me I’m about to break my laptop

you gotta make sure its on the background. If you don't key/mask out the foreground, the effect will be applied to everything.
