Haha Thank you so much!
the magnet is such a brilliant idea! and your journal pages are sooo adorable!!!
+Wei Taillandier Thank you so much!! :)
The magnet on the water bottle is genius!
+Dee Dee Thank you so much!! :)
Thank you for this video! Love your pencil case and all your art supplies! I am saving this video for reference for when I have some $$ to get new art supplies!
+sheapup Thank you so much!! :)
Tolle Bilder und Schöne Art das Journal zu führen. Und ein SNES Controller! *love*
+Howard2k79 Jaaaa, ich liebe meinen SNES immer noch (und er hält sich dank seines stolzen Alters auch echt noch ganz gut, hihi). Vielen lieben Dank dir!!
Whoa there is that a mortal instruments rune?!
Haha yes :D
Hey be careful putting india ink in a fountain pen. It clogs it up. Fountain pens should use only ink allowed for them. I am not an expert, but I have made the mistake. I would check out Fountain Pen Channel, I think they have a vid titled "7 Fountain pen beginner mistakes" or something. I am sure you can find the info. Nice videos, keep up the good work :3
oh thank you, I was planning on buying india ink soon!
is it possible for such a cuteness to exist?!?!?! like DUDE everything about this video was soo freakin cute
Hahaha :D Thank you!
I love your set up, I have way too many art supplies and I aspire to be someone like you who works with limited supplies. Just a tip that I have heard...over time India ink will clog a fountain pen, so be sure to use inks made for fountain pens. Thx for a great video!
Thank you so much! :) And thank you for the tip
Such an artist love what I see
Thank you so much!!
You ABSOLUTELY should not put India ink into a fountain pen. The particles in the ink will clog the feed and corrode the nib. You should only use fountain pen ink!! D:
+Professor Blue Oh dear, you are right, I guess I found that out the hard way :/ Thank you so much for the warning!! :)
I have been using sharpies and a few markers but bleed.I am ordering both a fountain and a Perm Brush Liner Marker next month..
+kym rhymer Ah yes, I have heart that the sharpies bleed quite badly :(
Very nice to see what you like to use. I use some of the pens you do. I like them too. TFS! :)
+Vicki Lanegan Thank you so much! :)
you're incredible wow
+Sarah Sunshine Thank you so much!!! :)
Such an awesome helpful video! I thought of April when I saw that pencil case hehe It's amazing how much fits in there. I was wondering if you ever mix the products when drawing - for example colour some parts in with watercolour paint and other parts of the same drawing in Aqua marker.. I usually just end up colouring using watercolour, but I would like to start branching out more :) thanks for another great video!
+MyLifeMits Yes, me too :D I think she owns this pencil case, acutally :D and it is perfect for her :).
Right now I am trying to get better at water color painting and coloring, so I try to use nothing but watercolor :) It has been quite challenging and sometimes I wished I could mix it up and use my markers, but for now I am using nothing but watercolors. Mixing my first decent skin tone too me HOURS, but I guess it is all good practice haha :D
Cant find any pencil cases similar to that anywhere 😭😭😭 its such a good idra
I also couldn't find it anywhere else :). But www.coolpencilcase.com still offers them :)
palestblue thank you! Couldnt see for looking last night x
Aren't markers supposed to be stored horizontally? I'd like to watch your journaling process on video
You are right! :) I have since given the markers away to focus solely on watercolor but I should have stored them horizontally!
mysummertouch why do you have to store them horizontal?
Laura.ren101 because they are double tipped if you store them vertically one side may dry out :)
GE C.Smith ohhhhh ok! Thanks for telling me. I actually own some mildliners and they're double sided and I think maybe that was starting to happen with my yellow one. I'll have to start putting my pencil bag in my backpack horizontally so they don't stand vertically, if that makes sense lols.
It doesn't really matter how you store them unless the caps are off they won't dry out
love it
where can i get a hobonichi techo planner??
Can you make a video about Reeves Watercolors? I recently got them and I would like to see you use it 😊 Love you so much 😍😘
I have never used Reeves Watercolors before, so I am sorry to say that I cannot make a video about them... but I will definitely make more videos about watercolor painting and how I use my watercolors in the future! :) How are you liking your Reeves watercolors?
They're pretty cool! I'm a beginner so this is good for my practice since it's cheap. I cant get it as dark as I want sometimes though so I cheat with the Reeves gouache XD
I SAW A CLOCKWORK ANGEL AND THE NAME OF MAGNUS BB BANE ANZHAKZIJAKZU 😍😍💖
can you please make a video of your midori travelers notebook
+Niclas Bratholm Sjølie I have several videos on my Midori Traveler's Notebook on my channel :) Did you have a specific video in mind?
hello it'd be really nice of you if you'd spend the time to answer my question... how much did it cost you to get your pallete ? ❤
Hello :) That is not an easy question to answer, because I modified it quite a bit and I am not using the colors that came with it but tube colors (which will refill the pans a couple of times). The initial set was a Schmincke Akademie (which is their student grade range) 12 half pan set that cost around 30€. And when the pans were empty I refilled them with Schmincke Horadam colors (which is their artist grade range), which cost around 12€ per 15ml tube (and those will refill the pans about 3 times I would say).
welchen hast du genau gekauft? ich habe nachgeschaut und nur welche gefunden, die nur Platz für 12 1/2 Näpfchen haben. (aber die gleiche grösse haben)
I absolutely LOVE your journal! In fact, you've inspired me to attempt having an art journal! I just wanted to know, does that journal have watercolour pages? Does the paper handle water well?
+Flo Venegas Thank you so very much for your wonderful comment! It is so amazing to know that this video inspired you to start your own art journal. I wish you tons of fun!! :) I am sure you won't regret it! The pages in the Hobonichi are made of very very thin but super smooth and wonderful paper. They are not water color pages, but if you want to create small water color illustrations (not using too much water), they hold up very well. If you want to paint a lot of wet in wet with lots of water or if you don't like it when the pages crinkle a little then you are probably better off with a water color sketchbook with heavy weight water color paper :D.
Awesome video 👍👍 How do you choose what colours you put in the palette?
Thank you so much :) I am currently in the process of filming a video about how I chose what colors to use in my palette that will answer this in more detail :). The short answer is that I really like to have a cool and warm yellow, a cool and warm red, some earth tones and a couple of different blues in my palette, as I usually use a certain blue tone as my starting point when mixing :)
hello, I have just watched your latest video trying out various styles and I loved the look of your watercolours so I can here to find out more about them. I was just wondering whether you added your own pans to the set? Was this easy? And would you recommend the set? Thank you very much, all the best
Thank you so much :). Yes, I added my own pans to the set (and I refill them from tubes). It was really easy - I just removed the part of the set that usually holds the pans (you can just take it out) and then I used some blue tac to add the pans :). I will be filming an updated look at my art supplies and talk a little bit more about the watercolor set and how I customized it in that video as well :)
can you add a link to your exact watercolor tin? I am having trouble finding it.
+Kimberly Lane I got mine with a set of 12 Adademy colors, but you could also buy an empty one (www.dickblick.com/products/schmincke-empty-watercolor-tins-and-pans) - I customized it a little bit (removed one of the flaps and took out the tray that used to hold the pens. I also sanded the mixing area to make it a little easier to mix colors on it :)). I hope this helps?
Yes, terrific! Thank you! PS - love your channel and you IG. So inspirational! And beautiful.
Can you add link for that Pencilcase?
+Anoj Subedi I am sorry, it is not available anymore... But here is a similar one: www.coolpencilcase.com/Periodic-Table-of-the-Elements-butterfly-Pouch-p/c2156.htm
I love your videos! They always inspire me to continue with my art journal. (:
Between the Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolors and Schmincke Academy watercolors, which do you prefer?
+Leeda Phaen you so much! :) I have used both and think they are both okay. Some individual colors may be nicer in one or the other lines, but overall I think they are quite similar in terms of quality. I would advise you to pick mainly one-pigment colors, as they tend to do better when you mix them :D.
+palestblue Artist grade watercolors from both Winsor & Newton and Schmincke are really really nice by the way. So if you can I would chose the colors that your really really need and buy those in artist grade instead of buying more colors in student grade water colors :)
+palestblue Thank you so much for answering! I will keep that in mind. (:
Hello!! Bist du Deutsche???????? i love this so much!! Hab gerade dich gefunden!!!!! and iam so proud that i finally found you
