(Sorry if it’s too soft! My camera doesn’t pick up my voice very well compared to other sounds)
Today I have an art supplies video for you guys where I show you the majority of my supplies. Hopefully this answers any questions you had about my supplies, especially with all the links down below. (I’m not going to reply to questions about supplies or materials anymore. The list of materials is usually listed out in detail in the description!)
I’m also trying to prepare videos for when I’m out of the country so this one was a little on the fly. It’s been kind of stressful haha, so I’m trying my best to get them done so you guys will have videos for when I’m away for 2 weeks.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video or find it helpful in some way.
On a side note: You are not obligated to purchase any of the materials or supplies I have. Owning certain materials doesn’t magically make you a fantastic artist. They help, but the materials don’t make the artist; YOU are the artist and can do amazing things with just a pencil and paper or even a pen on a napkin. Do not feel like you need to buy these things.

I think the XL in the canson sketchbook doesn't mean extra large.
My reason is they make like 3 more sketchbooks by the XL name in this brand I have the one thats smaller than that but still goes by XL
I wish i was able to organize my art supplies as well as you, most of it is all kept in one big box on my desk, or just laying freely on my desk, lmao

Where did you get the case you have that carries your art supplies for doodling or sketching

I also have stabilo pens in point 88 I LOVE THEM if You want a good inker use them it mybe be dead when You try it but its not the brands problem. Just flip it the tip down for about and hour im telling You THERE GREAT TRY THEM !

I'm pretty new to art and drawing and wanted to know why use copics and just use decent cheap markers like Crayola super tips? (idk i find crayola okay) Just wandering.
Copics are alcohol based which means they blend more and don't eat at the paper. If you were to use a water based marker, Crayola, for example, the more you layer it, the more the paper would start to shred. Alcohol based markers (not copics specifically) are meant for layering and blending :) They stay wet for a little longer so when you add another color, they will blend well together, especially when used on marker paper.

you really have alot of art suppies for my water color paint brush i only have that big pairt brush to pait your house cuz im broke af but my water color drawings looks good though even though i use a big pait brush its just a lil messy

juuuust wondering, have u ever had problems with color backflow in the pentel water brushes??? like the colors on the palette tends to get inside the brush itself and contaminate the water??🤔
Nope! I haven't experienced that :) Usually when I use the watercolors, I make sure to have a towel on hand to dab any excess paints and such off before picking up another ^^
I think the brand of mechanical pencils you used with colored lead was Kokuyo, because I have the same one in green

I own the 24 set Sakura field sketch box! I wanted the 30 count but after finding the color mix charts I saw there is more color potential in the 24 set plus all the other pallets I own (has a art supply hoarding problem). I think you'd like the Pearl watercolor pallets, it would give your work a pop of metallics!
Oh really? :o That's awesome! I actually own a pearlescent one, but it's quite translucent. I definitely want to try the gold paints or something similar! :D

Awesome Video iiKiui, I have a question though. Have you ever used a Extra fine point sharpie (it kinda acts like a dip pen), or a Foray rollé pen.

iiKiui You're welcome! The sharpie bleeds a little when you color over it with markers, but the Foray pen is my faviorite, but you have to wait for it to dry of course

I'm actually pretty curious about your pen case, where did you find one with the book-like page? You didn't list it in the description.
I love your assortment of colors, for whatever reason, your copic color drawers felt so good to look at, especially the purple/gray drawer (even with a headache!) ~_~
My pencil case is from the Disney store and it's a stationary kit. It came with a bunch of other materials made for children (cheap markers, colored pencils, plastic scissors etc), but I just replaced it with my own materials! However, I have to say that they fit reallyyyyy snug, so it was a little difficult getting them in. I'm not sure where to get one that's empty and specifically for art supplies! I wish I lived somewhere where there are stores with good quality art suplies or somewhere where art supplies could be shipped but nope I live in a small insignificant island(according to many websites) with nothing cool 😧😣

That's a toughie! I think if I had to choose one, it would be the Kuretake Pen, but I also love the Aquash Water pen :) Of course, if it's for adding highlights, I absolutely love the uni-ball gel pen! ^^
So many great art supplies OWO, great video Nicole! I wish I could use mechanical pencils, but I can't draw with them, I don't know why hehe I guess I am more used to the classic traditional pencil :)

Thank you! This pencil case is actually one of those "art sets" that the Disney store sold a while ago with the markers & colored pencils inside. I just replaced it with my art supplies instead since it seemed to be the perfect size!

I personally don't use an art pen case like this nowadays, but if you check out the channel JetPens, they have an awesome selection of pencil bags!

What would you recommend to use a a starter for coloring in sketches? I'm having a hard time choosing which media to start doing final pieces with.
Hmm, well, if you want to just do a rough coloring to get colors down, I'd suggest colored pencils. However, if you're planning on doing final pieces, markers are great for bright and solid colors :)

Amelia Garcia No worries! I've heard touch markers are cheaper, but I'm not sure by how much. I've found that the MEPXY brand is about 3 dollars each on their website. Whoo! I haven't counted before haha, but let me do that.....roughly 31 (I may have miscounted haha) copics and the rest are mepxy and prismacolor :)

It's pretty much half and half. The paper and some pens and markers I get in store like Michaels, but the other stuff like the kuretake pens and some markers are from Blick and Jetpens online :)

Like minimalistic A said, it depends on what skin tones you want to convey. I have a very limited selection of skin tones. I only use E000 Pale Fruit Pink, E00 Skin White, E02 Fruit Pink, E11 Barely Beige, E21 Baby Skin Pink, and E33 Sand (the darkest of my range). I know there are loads more for skin tones, especially dark ones! I suggest checking out Baylee Jae's video on coloring skin. She lists all the markers she uses in the video.

I recently found a really good electric eraser at Daiso I think you should check it out!
I've seen some of them before, but whenever I use erasers that are smaller than the one I own, it breaks off really easily. ^^;;
