Reason he didnt send up regidrago first: Koraidon does 130, drago does 160. He wants to attack with the bigger number second because either he doesn't know how big the water guys will be next turn or because he knows 130 isn't enough, and he wants to have a better chance of KO next turn than 130 would give him
Yeah, I can see that line of reasoning, but I think when you have 2 cards in hand you want to prioritize drawing some more. It would not be too surprising if Alex was able to gust KO Drago anyways, and then you never get the use of the draw. What good is saving your stronger attacker if you aren't able to power up the one after that?
Why did Alex put the froslass into his hand when the regidrago knocked it out at 13:10?
the special energy called Splash Energy that was attached to it; when the pokemon is knocked out, the energy gets discarded but the pokemon returns to hand.

It does look like that, but it was just that after the Town Map, some of his prizes were off screen. You can see that in the cut he took teammates and a different card was moved over.
