This was written in response to Proposition 8 that banned same sex marriage in California back in 2008.
Sometimes it's nice to see an episode hasn't aged "well", because the social issue it's mocking has noticeably gotten less of an issue.
That being said the entire "imagine all the bad things, now imagine I said them"-bit about fearmongering, now that is some timeless culture war stuff.

Lucy Liu-bot had no higher processing, and was essentially just a stolen shadow of a human mind. Due to the lack of advanced software, it’s debatable if it could actually give someone consent.

This episode has a good message but it wasn’t really that good of a Futurama episode, it lacked humour and good storytelling that the original series runs and the four films were known for.
