I just finished all my Korean audio lessons while traveling across the world the last 2 months. I want to use them for Vietnamese next. Try them yourself in 50 different languages: imp.i271380.net/c/2397166/1117678/11472
It doesn't give the list of 50 languages on its website. That is weird, right ?
It would be so difficult to know several different languages. I only know English but I know a few French words, a couple Italian and probably about 5 Korean words.
Good luck learning Vietnamese 😂 A few of my friends are vietnamese and hearing them speak it just doesnt make any sense...
Next learn filipino, Cantonese, Indonesian too lmao😊
Xin chào! 👋😁 girl you're a legend. I definitely feel more motivated to keep learning & not give up thanks to your videos, attitude, and spirit. Thanks for posting such wholesome & educational content all the time! I love learning about other cultures on top of just learning the language - so your videos have been very informative! Thanks again 🙂
Anming, there are many CZcamsrs speaking different languages, but NOBODY comes off as more natural and real as you. You impress everyone because you are not "trying". You actually speak the languages.
Aww, that means so much. I really appreciate this comment.
She comes off natural because she's not bullshitting people probably lol. She's genuinely studied Chinese for years and lived in the country, has a Japanese husband and lives in Japan where she speaks the language. She doesn't learn a couple of repeatable basic sentences with questions and answers to edit videos and make it look like she's fluent in 60 languages lol.
@@MxMoondoggie EXACTLY. Most of the "polyglots" on CZcams can't read or write the language they are making videos about. Speaking a few common phrases is enough for them to post titles like "Surprising people speaking their own language perfectly".
Xiaomanyc is about the only other I follow, since he, too, has an actual proficiency and not just repeating phrases.
@@mprice6683, exactly. If I went by the number of languages I know phrases in, I would be a super polyglot; when, in reality, I only speak 4 and write proficiently in 2 (English and German).
You know you master a language well when you can interpret from one language to the other. Even more impressive when it's from Japanese to Chinese!
Thank you! It happens a lot in daily life here. I love translating for my husband.
@@harryhsieh7163 What is the point of your post?

Do speak 5 differently languages and can switch easily
I'm Japanese-Filipina and I'm fluent in Tagalog, Japanese, and a little Spanish and Cantonese. Everytime I visit Oahu (my moms hometown) my relatives are always so surprised that I'm able to switch languages whenever I'm interacting with tourists. My aunt even joke that I should've been a diplomat lool. I love seeing your videos!
Please become a Diplomat. Ur very beautiful
Damn! So you speak at least 5 languages. Mind blown. I speak 2 languages fluently and 2 other languages a bit.
@@lamppuu1 lol technically I speak only 3, I'm not that fluent in Chinese and Spanish yet. I only know Spanish from high school and Chinese from my old job as a waitress in my high school days
@@yosup89 No, that's the model profession, you're mixing them up.

Bringing people together and making others smile because you cannot only speak their language, but have explored their culture is simply beautiful.
Powerful.
Absolutely fascinating to watch you greet and talk with all these different languages. I'm so proud that you can represent the U.S. and so many other countries. Enjoy your travels.
Thank you so much Jerry!
I really liked the interactions in Hawaii. The Vietnamese woman was really sweet. You're one of the few humans on Earth who can communicate with such ease from language to language. Maybe in later years you can hit on some of the other major Chinese dialects like Cantonese and Shangheae, or Fuzhounese just for kicks.
Thank you Jay. We had a really fun time there.

Tommy is so adorable, like a kid in a Toy store. Its refreshing to film outside of Japan but still with Japanese culture . Looking forward to more videos from you both
Thank you Alan. I’m making a video about him in America and his reaction right now.
I lived on Oahu for 22 years and completely embraced the multi cultural lifestyle. I love languages and try to at least learn polite phrases in the language of each country that I travel to. So far I have learned some Japanese, Chinese, Hawaiian,Bahasa , Thai, and Swahili and a few more. My dream is to achieve fluency in at least one. Swahili is my favorite. I’m really inspired by your wonderful videos.
I'm a native English speaker who is very impressed (and a bit envious) when people can speak many languages. I've picked up a few words and phrases here and there over the years, but my brain doesn't seem to be able to handle the grammatical structure and flow of other languages. It always makes me laugh when some people think Anming is Russian 😁
if you wish to learn another language, i guess learning some roman or germanic language would be easiest for you. i'm sure your brain is able to handle it :)
just takes A LOT of exposure.
She has a Slavic looking face, even though she’s only a tiny bit Ukrainian.
I think you can do it too Mark. It just takes a lot of exposure to the language. You'd have to be immersed in it everyday.
@@OrientalPearl That's a good idea, it seems you at least partly learned Chinese and Japanese by living in those countries and interacting with the people around. I have a friend living in Portugal and he has learned enough of the language to hold a reasonable conversation just by talking to everyone.
I was like this too. I mean, I don’t just speak English. I already speak two languages, which are Bulgarian and Spanish, but I’ve kinda known them since I was a baby as they’re my parents languages so it didn’t really feel like I “learnt” them yk?? But I decided to actually learn a new language last year, which is mandarin. For a few months of learning the language, I felt like I wasn’t making any progress, so I started watching movies and listening to music in the language. If I happened to watch a movie or show in English, I’d put the captions in mandarin, and doing that for a month made me gain so much more progress than what I was doing before. This is what I really recommend doing.
Only 0.8% subscribe? That's nuts. Come on people, this is such a great channel. Keep up the good work guys, love seeing the places you go and hearing you speak with people. It's so great to see their faces light up when you speak so fluently with them.

Anming- promoting a more inclusive and diverse Japan on a daily basis. Thank you!🙌
I’m blown away not only by the ease in which you speak Chinese and Japanese, both very difficult languages for English speakers, but also by your humility when you constantly tell folks your Japanese or Chinese is “ok”. I’m sure it’s a whole lot better than ok. You’re awesome!
Aww, thank you Johnny.
Haha its hilarious when they don't think you can speak their language but bust it out & they look confused
Longtime subscriber here - this is amazing, and thank you for sharing your life's journey with us all! You inspire us to reach beyond our perceived limitations. All the best to You & Tommy!
I watch your channel and it makes me feel better every time. People's reactions when you answer them in their language are hilarious :)
You are an amazing person and you should be a role model. You show how to be open to other people with respect for their culture and language.
I wish you all the best.
Yes, you speak each language so well. However, it's really impressive how seamlessly you transition from one to another. Hopefully I can be like that one day.
Thank you so much Daivd.
Transitioning from one language to the next is tough. I write poetry in English and German. If I interlace German words into a mostly English poem, I have to stop and think... since the structure and metaphoric meanings may be lost in the translation. Jumping from language to language can be a completely different, complex thought-process.... and is actually more impressive to me than actually being able to speak the different languages.
My mom was Korean, so I grew up learning the basics from her, and just from eavesdropping when she'd talk to friends and her family😆 I've always liked learning different languages and am learning ASL. It can be mentally draining trying to communicate in another language because it definitely requires extra attention to listening and remembering the formalities and correct pronunciation, but it is fun. I always enjoy your videos, Happy New Year!
I was studying Spanish for a while and I noticed that when I was drunk or sleepy I understood it better!! 🤣🤣🤣
I learned my Mom’s native language fairly well. She was British though so I really didn’t gain a second language or anything.

Happy New Year to you too! That's awesome that you got to learn the basics from a young age. I can't wait to make more Korean videos for you. This was just a taste, I've actually learned quite a bit.
I’ve been following you for awhile & still amazed at how natural you are with the different languages. I know you worked hard at it but you’re awesome!😊
It’s impressive how good you are at learning and speaking several different languages! And your social skills when meeting all those people are great too!
Aww thank you. That means a lot.

So inspirational. Now I'm motivated to go back to my Czech language lessons. It's so complicated - but logical - but complicated. But less tenses than English, and you pronounce every letter ( well, _almost_ every one ). Practice, practice, practice !

That's awesome that these videos motivate you to learn Czech! That makes me so happy.

Genuinely love seeing you interact with everyone in their native languages it’s so impressive. I speak a few languages but none of them confidently but watching you speak like this made me revisit language studies
Oh what a wonderful find. I’m watching it for the second time right now. There’s virtually no one within earshot of you that’s isn’t totally blown away not just by how fluent and at ease with the languages you are but that you would bother to learn their languages at all. That’s what you’re seeing in their faces and hearing in their laughter and conversation. You cared enough about them to learn their language. It’s so endearing. I just find it completely awesome and refreshing. Keep it up
The lady who said she'd wait for you to show up to speak Vietnamese to her looks like she's sharp enough to remember you. I guess we'll wait for the follow-up video in a couple of years. It's nice to see that you're still surprising the hell out of people by speaking multiple languages. And you don't look Russian at all to me, so that's funny that they assume that is where you're from. But I guess that it would not be a stretch for a Russian woman from say, Vladivostok to learn several other languages. Looking forward to more videos in the future!
She might just remember us. I would love to go back and see her again.
The amount of courage to switch to Korean like that... 대박이다 진짜요. I didn't have that sort of bravery at all my first years learning Korean lol. I'm pivoting to Chinese right now, so I hope to be even half as fluent as you this year! 화이팅! 저도 노력할겁니다!

Anming, you are amazing. There are no words to describe how well you have mastered several languages. I could see you as a interpreter at the UN . I am from Louisiana,my mother spoke fluent French as her first language,English as her second language. She never taught it to myself or my brother or sisters. Back then it was discouraged, now it is taught some, but Spanish is in the fore front as a foreign language taught in school. Southern Louisiana roots are French, but Spanish leads in school language taught, blows my mind. At 65,I am trying to learn French and speak some. People who hear me speak French, say I speak it naturally, that I must have picked up on some listening to my mother speak it all those years.
That's so amazing that you're learning languages at 65! You're incredible.

I watch your videos and other language videos now and then, but even though I might really like to be able to speak Chinese or other great sounding languages, I'm too much of a hermit to ever get any real use out of doing it.
But I love seeing the cheerfulness and to see different people's light up when they hear someone speak their language who is not from their location.
Great video. 😁👍
It's so cool how amazed people are when you speak their foreign language and they're very impressed and pleased that you can communicate with them in their native tongue. It's made me realize we as English speaking people need to show the same support and encouragement when we hear people that don't have English as their first language using English. I think watching these videos help me to understand that. Thank you

I'm so happy that you decided to take on Chinese and they you're still doing it! Keep up the good work.
It always amazes me how you do the language switch. I can switch between English and Japanese but any other language I keep switching to Japanese or freeze up trying to get my mind into the language I'm learning. It's amazing how you flick between them so well. And I love how real you are.
You need to let go the mind in the process of switching, like do not fixate in ideas of "remembering" words... that distracts you and render you real tense, tampering with your articulation of words.
Came here from Xiaoma. I subbed as soon as I heard your conversations in both Chinese and Japanese! It's so impressive how much you know. I was shocked to hear that so many who watch didn't subscribe, especially after I subbed after only having to see 1 video!

Everyone was blown away by your linguistic skills.:) Amazing! I think the Chinese sign you held in the beginning of the video reads from right to left, thus 五福临门 or "five happiness arrive at the door." When you lived in China, you might have seen this kind of signs written this way on public gates/walls-an ancient way. But once the writing becomes an article, it would go from top to bottom and right to left. Only modern Chinese reads from left to right. Great video!

An Ming, these "language flexing" type of videos are really empowering. It isn't just the language (which is cool) but it is the interpersonal engagement that is so stimulating, and I think that is something that comes more easily to Americans. When I was in Greece in 1984, on the first night on Paros island, we had together 3 Brits from the Midlands, 2 Welsh lads 3 Irish girls, a Canadienne, (who I will love forever) and a couple of Aussie girls. We were thick as thieves for two weeks, doing everything together in a seemingly spontaneously manner, but in reality (in retrospect) it was because I (as the sole American) said "do you wanna do x?" and they said "Sure!" Doing something is better than doing nothing.
I’m so glad that these videos are motivating for you. Thanks for sharing your story.
