I will not gaze at glory but on my King's face
These hymns are great. It brings back memories of Sunday mornings at home before anythings started when my late father would teach us those songs of praise. Dad had a bass second to none. Thank you Dad through Jesus.

This hymn reminds me of what I can expect when this earthly life is over. It is certainly a great experience to anticipate- to be with Jesus Christ forever.

Amy Carmichael brought me here to hear this hymn.During her time of sickness in bed at night she asked her nurse to read John 14,15&16; Revelation 7:9-17; chapters 21&22 so many times that she had them memorized,as well as the whole of Rutherford's hymn "The sands of time are sinking".What a glory we all have in Christ in Eternity.precious hymn.

How a hymn of praise can touch the deepest of our hearts! It is so different from today's 'evangelical music', so commercial, so devoid of spiritual depth! Yes, this is a song that leads us, indeed, to worship the Almighty!

First learnt this in Sunday School
I must try to make my church sing these hymns. So meaningful and beautiful these hymns are. First I'll have to learn to sing them correctly. Thank you Martijn de Groot for posting these treasures. Also I must make it a point to attend service at Metropolitan Tabernacle whenever I visit London. Lovely singing.

Thank you for posting this lovely hymn. I have not heard it in many years so was very pleased to find it today. The words are lovely and so is the tune. I'll see you all one day "In Emmanuel's Land."

I think that is in another, separate verse that is sometimes sung - but not in this one. The hymnal in the church that I go to has the verse you are speaking of.
