For me Mehram to this day is the best song on Coke Studio possibly of all time.. the lyrics, vocals, music.. everything is on point.. I've been following Arooj Aftab since 2004-05.. she's a hidden gem.. just a phenomenal song

Abida Parveen is a LEGEND in sufi singing. True legend. Shes an institution. She sings with all her heart and sings with all her soul. I am sure you have heard many of her songs already.

Btw, the lady with curly hair from Tu Jhoom is Abida Parveen - the living legend of Pakistan Sufi music. She was a judge on an Indian show Sur Kshetra? You may have seen her judging there. Other than that, she’s also been featured in Coke Studio’s previous seasons and amongst many, Chaap Tilak is a beauty you must hear from a previous season.
Fun fact: the other lady Naseebo Lal has recently been this successful. She has done a lot of work but mostly stage shows that don’t see much of the commercial light. It wasn’t until the producer of the this season’s show, Xulfi, brought her more on tv as he made her sing “Groove Mera” last year for PSL 6 anthem song. That’s when Abida jee heard her and asked Xulfi to give her more songs for her beautiful vocals. And here they are both together singing.. you must watch BTS of these songs to gain more perspective about them - if you are interested. Lots of best wishes from Toronto 🇨🇦
Loved your reaction. The whole season was great, but kaana yaari has been my favourite so far, it was so dynamically beautiful and sound great to the ear ; both video and vocals were on fire. This song has an addictive feeling and grows on you.

There are only two more songs after the four already released - I think you should do the 4 that are out and do separate ones for the 2 yet to be released - I'm sure the last two will be amazing. Peechay Hutt, Muaziz Saarif, Beparwah, and Thagyan are all very different and difficult to choose which one is better. All are next level!

The lady in "Tu Jhoom " miss " Abida Parveen " had been a judge in many indian singing shows i don't remember the name of show but she has been to india for long long time now due to the issues of our governments she's not going there and staying in Pakistan now
